Ledip
I am using linux mint with heroic browser, and I feel that it is an important clarification to make. I understand that things get a bit finnicky with linux but I just dont understand how the mods are deployed, yet when I open heroic and run the game, no mods are actually taking effect. All the mods are there in the game folder and everything and I have hit the deploy button in vortex many many times. I installed vortex through steamtinkerlaunch if that helps at all. I understand that most of you out there use windows but if any of you know whats going on, or what the right questions to ask are, please help me out. I will answer questions as fast as I can. AaronOfMpls
What game are you having trouble with? And did you run the game at least once without mods, so game setting files get created where they need to be before deploying? (I'm on Linux, but not a Vortex user myself. Just going by what some games need for mods to be loaded, regardless of what mod manager you're using.)

Upon further investigation the script extender is working and all the script extender plug ins are working. It's just the mods themselves that aren't. AaronOfMpls
I know Vortex works by symlinking or hardlinking your mods' files into the game's Data folder. Have you looked to see if they're actually there? And has it found your plugins.txt file and made your load order correctly in it?

The plugins.txt file has the same order as in the vortex app where it loads falloutNV.esm then all the dlc, then it loads my mods. The script extender isnt there but I am not sure if it is supposed to be since the script extender does work.
7531Leonidas
Did you launch the game via the script extender launcher? I know that is necessary for Skyrim. Launching the game via its own launcher or Vortex isn't sufficient (unless there is some good way to configure the extender launcher to start from Vortex:Tools that doesn't simply consume more machine resources by having Vortex running at the same time). No, there is no script extender launcher. I had to use the epic games patcher in order to get mods to work with epic games and because of that the nvse_loader.exe file should not be used and instead the normal FalloutNV.exe file should be used. The script extender does work and is in the game but none of the mods seem to be active. I have checked the data files at the launcher menu and all the boxes are ticked for the mods. Zanderat
Pretty sure NVSE doesn't work with the EG version.
showler
The patcher converts the EXE to match the Steam one.
