You must know something I don't! 🤣

In reality the hotjar powered polls which ran during and after the beta were available to all site users. However once the quota is used up then the poll is no longer available. This of course means only limited conclusions can be drawn from the results, and we are not blind to that.

Oh right, the polls on a third party website that is automatically blocked by many ad-blockers due to its data harvesting services. That was actually a (small) point of discussion within the first few pages of this thread, was that a bunch of people couldn't even load up the polls because the entire website was getting blocked by their adblockers.

I went to hotjar just to see and my adblocker immediately didn't let me in the site and I laughed out loud.

WHAT POLL?

All I saw was the BETA banner. Never any poll.
A couple of people even posted a screenshot of the poll that was allegedly on Discord, and I couldn't find it, and there was allegedly a poll right here on the Nexus that I never saw as well.
Kind of hard to give feedback on a poll that I never saw.

I'll just chime in and say I really dislike this new design. So much wasted space, less visibility of the things I'm interested in.

The user: llihP described it perfectly in his previous post.

Rant: I really don't get what is wrong with UI/UX designers these days. It's all about inefficient space use, making processes more cumbersome and losing clarity. /rant

This new design needs a lot of work to get it to a state where its enjoyable to use. I'd say: start removing all the dead space, it really does nothing good for the site.

And a suggestion: can we please have an option to hide 'Media' (and even News I'd argue) on the front page. I never understood why it needs to be there. I want to see more mods, if I want screenshots or videos for them: I go to the mod. Mods are the main product.

I see you are bringing back old features like custom date range filtering or Tracked Content Updates with the speed of light. 😒

Remind me, why did I pay you a ridiculous sum of money this year (£90.35) for premium? Clearly you've proven me that I am a moron and next year this will not happen.

People used to get fired for being utterly incompetent. Sadly, we are living in a Brave New World.

We need a non-popup poll, on the website, on the forums, reddit and discord. One that's in your face and straight to the point so that people don't miss it. I believe the new results that actually have more than just the few who stuck around the beta would have very telling results.

Obviously BUILT-IN. It's not hard to code a poll.

“The polls have been available in the local planning office for the last nine months.”

“Oh yes, well, as soon as I heard I went straight round to see them, yesterday afternoon. You hadn’t exactly gone out of your way to call attention to them, had you? I mean, like actually telling anybody or anything.”

“But the polls were on display . . .”

“On display? I eventually had to go down to the cellar to find them.”

“That’s the display department.”

With a flashlight.”

“Ah, well, the lights had probably gone.”

“So had the stairs.”

“But look, you found the polls, didn’t you?”

“Yes, yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard.’”

He may be gone, but Douglas Adams is alive and well in our hearts. Shame this is the bit that had to be relevant.
