Where are you finding this mythical 'list view'????

The old design that was replaced had a list view that was very clean and easy to read that no longer exists.

Again, you're being needlessly dismissive. Even people without these issues don't want to have to hit pagedown every time they've looked at just 3 or 4 items.

Well there seem to be several people on these forums that care enough to come and ask for list view back.  I would love to be able to scroll thru list view again.  "Opinions vary ..."

First of all I am paying customer.

I am utterly furious about the new site layout. It has made the site difficult to use and you cant nicely browse over things but you are constantly suggested different games and screenshot.

- Please remove game priorization from the search
- Please make search apply only to selected game mods not all possible crap that relates to the game. Your site was created for mods and its name is still nexusmods not nexusscreenshots.
- Please remove all clutter that is not mods.

Or just revert to old layout because it worked.

Have you never thought about pressing Ctrl and + on your keyboard? It makes everything bigger and presumably more helpful.

And seeing how the new view is adamant in displaying less tiles on the same page, with a classic view you get more tiles and they're bigger after zooming in.

Unfortunately Ctrl and - don't work as well since it shrinks the site horizontally, but zooming in should work wonders. If everyone who needed larger text and images knew how to use a web browser, no redesign of the entire website would be needed. Which came at the cost of those who find the reduced information density a large downgrade in usability.

Zooming in is the opposite of helpful. Classic view fits a decent amount on screen but if you zoom in it no longer will; when zoomed to increase thumbnails to what Standard currently shows it would actually use space less effectively because of some aspects of that layout (namely updated/uploaded dates being on separate lines).

The current Standard view works well with the larger images and text, with my tweaks that snip out most of the ridiculous padding that was added in the beta. The designers are still overly committed to that padding for some reason.

If there are people who want the list view, I don't see any reason it couldn't be an option. It shouldn't be the only option. Standard view is working very well apart from the egregious padding and a couple of minor issues that are fixable through CSS. With better markup, it'd be trivial to switch between different views.
