Reminded me of the guy who dresses in leather, is a football player, shaves his arms and legs, listens to Shakira and similar, posts pics of himself making duckfaces and similar poses and then says that gay people should be killed and that they're disgusting and also that it's very gay if you use a file for your nails.

I'm totally fine with guys shaving, but seriously if you shave your arms and legs, listen to Shakira, tell me that it's gay for taking care of my nails and then say how gay people should be murdered, then something's wrong with you in many ways.

For anyone who hasn't heard of deep down, it's a free to play multiplayer game being released for the PS4. It supposedly starts in New York in 2094 and the player is somehow transported to another time by touching the thing in the trailer. Looks amazing, I want it. Noooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww...

Yeah, I thought so. Not so sure about Fassbender as the lead, but it is good to see another game branching out into cinema. There are a few games around which I think would translate well to a movie-The Last Of Us and some of the recent Metal Gear games have essentially been interactive movies(either through deliberate choice or cutscenes that last for centuries) Crysis(the original game) would make a good movie-it's story would translate quite well and I'd love to see a film that mirrors it's "tech for the sake of tech" approach. Halo 4, obviously, since it has such a huge emphasis on story, and maybe Dark Souls as well. As a final note, perhaps Amnesia as a snuff-film.

I wish Amnesia and the Last of Us would have film adaptations. My mom would LOVE The Last of Us. The Last of Us definitely felt like watching a really good movie at times. I haven't played Metal Gear games since... Metal Gear Solid 3.

I tried to get my mom playing Amnesia but it doesn't run good on her computer and the controls are kind of difficult for her. She quit after the library, just before the elevator I think. I think she was also too distracted by the controls and other things to really notice much, she actually just started walking right towards one of the creatures once because she didn't notice it. I laughed a lot.

"MOM! THERE'S A THING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?"
"Where?"
"THERE!"
"Oh... I see."

Halo would make a great movie, Dark Souls might be a good one as well.
Also, I believe there is a Metal Gear Solid movie in the works. By the same producer behind an Uncharted movie and I believe the Mass Effect movie.

SteamOS sounds like an interesting thingy.

Valve has been on pretty good terms with Linux in the past year, and with the announcement of a Linux-based Steam Box, I'm not surprised with SteamOS at all, I actually expected something like that. It's a bold move, Linux can run on pretty much anything with a processor (hell, even car engines utilize Linux for then on-board component control systems) and it's free like free beer (I like free beer) so it can be utilized on any platform you can imagine.

I believe that SteamOS will be forked from Ubuntu 14.04/13.10, or from Debian Testing. More likely Ubuntu, but with the MIR display server not getting any support from Intel (there will be likely no support from AMD/Nvidia either), they'll have a hell of a time migrating Ubuntu libraries from MIR to Wayland or X, so they might opt for Debian instead. Or it will be built from scratch, who knows.

But seeing how Valve is openly marketing Linux to a wide audience makes me happy, because that means more native games and less fiddling with Wine for me. Not to mention that I won't need to pay 150$ for Windows to play games natively either. :D
