Cortana (Windows Phone 8.1 new personal assistant)

Oh dear gods of hell, Microsoft named it's Siri rival after a (classic)video game character. This really is a weird century we live in.

"Severe Tropical Cyclone "Ita" is located over the northern Coral Sea and is moving slowly westwards. The monsoon trough extends from this system through Torres Strait and is bringing rain areas and thunderstorms to the Peninsula and parts of the northern coast."

... That is pretty much headed straight for us.

It will most likely be a Category 4 when it hits, but it's possible that it might even reach Category 5.

Woohoo, time to prepare for Cyclone Ita!

Yes, I don't see the fuss about it.

I think it's a silly strategy but I like the name. I've never been too fond of Halo because the newer ones arent on PC, but Cortana is a nice name for a digital assistant.

Better than any other regular female name like "Jessica" or something, either way the software looks good, that's all I care about.

Minecraft end is not easy to get to, even though you found it, you have to take drastic measures. Thank goodness there is a peaceful mode, where there is no mobs to get in the way, mob spawners are a thing of wonder, especially the traps.

I had to replicate this

I had to make this version, because there was two spawners side by side. the game is surprisingly well balanced, when it comes to its xp system.

In survival mode slimes is very hard to find, its very rare for that mob to spawn, so sticky pistons was out of the question.

blaze and pearls.

Seed 888 is the best  ps3 version.

Had something weird happen to me tonight, a freaky statistical anomaly. I was playing Victory, and designing a new car. When I was laying down the basic blueprint, a particular song from my custom playlist was randomly selected and began. Half an hour later when I began to paint it, the same song was randomly selected. This happened a third time when I entered the new vehicle in it's first race.

Now, what makes that freaky, is how big my playlist was. 71 songs. The odds of that song playing were one in seventy. That's a one-in-seventy chance three times in one hour. Weird. It was also the only heavy-metal song in the entire 71, and the only heavy metal this band every wrote. Rise Against: Disparity By Design from Endgame if anyone's either interested, or has even heard of them.

EDIT: Read something really cool on the news tonight. Five years ago a program began to try and "heal" MacQuarie Island south of Australia. MacQuarie was completely overrun and left in ruins as a result of introduced pests, the idea behind the program was to see if it was actually possible to bring a place back from it. Well, five years later they really succeeded.

The introduced species are now officially extinct, and the forests and heath that were decimated have been replanted. It will take a few decades to re-grow all the native plant life, but they have shown you can undo atleast some of the damage humans have inflicted. The ocean heath has already largely regrown after only three seasons, which is particularly encouraging.

I'm not sure if you people have heard about the Heartbleed bug.

I'm warning you that you should change your passwords on every website and app that uses OpenSSL, which you can check if it does here https://lastpass.com/heartbleed/

Reset your passwords only AFTER the Heartbleed checker tells you that they patched the bug, otherwise there's not much you can do.

The Nexus still wasn't patched, so literally everyone's passwords on here are vulnerable and have been vulnerable since 2011.

Here's some info so you can understand it better http://mashable.com/2014/04/09/heartbleed-nightmare/

The Nexus doesn't need to be patched. Not sure if everyone here has access to the Mod Author forums section. For those who do: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1589989-heartbleed-bug-any-concerns/

For those who don't:

Doesn't matter found out myself the site only supports older protocols :

Use "Test your server" here https://www.ssllabs.com/

Enter forums.nexusmods.com

Post by Dark0ne on the matter:

We only use SSL for the payment gateway for buying Premium, and even then, it's not vulnerable to the Heartbleed vulnerability.
