bben46
@mpalen19 - the download speeds are not affected by the virustotal scan at all - the files are scanned when they are uploaded - then they are only allowed in the download area if they pass. Once a file is marked as safe and is allowed it doesn't need to be scanned again when downloaded. If they fail the scan, they are put into a quarantine area that only the staff can see where we can further evaluate them - and take appropriate action. Older files that have not been updated in several weeks will be safe. If any of those had a virus the people who already downloaded them would be letting us know within a very short time - typically within minutes of the file being available. The last updated date has always been visible for every file. If you are not sure, look at it before you download that file. For already existing files that are updated, they will be checked just like any new files before they are available.

Why do patients in an asylum have access to the www ??? Same reason people stick a disney movie on and drop the kids in front of the TV with some popcorn and a few sodas. If they are focused on the screen they aren't yelling at anyone in the room.
Davidicusrexx
It would be nice, if among all the other things you do, which is a LOT, if you could weed out files that are known to be broken and/or full of dirty edits. Put them into a broken file archive where they are not downloadable until the problems with the file are fixed.
