kradus
What exactly is the difference between "Num quests to run" and "Max current quests"? http://www.creationkit.com/SM_Event_Node
lofgren
Number of quests to run is the number of quests in a node that can be started by a single trigger. Max current quests is the number of quests within a node that can be running at the same time.
kradus
So, these are the values that block certain quests from starting? If I want unlock all quests, make it possible for them to start regardless of how many are active, what do I do?
lofgren
Set max current quests to higher than the number of quests on the node.
Mattiewagg
So about how close is 100 units of Distance (for GetDistance)? If we're thinking, by say... The size of Candlehearth Hall's upper room. How big is that room across (the longer side), in units?
Mattiewagg
Does every scene need it's own quest? EDIT: Okay, nope. Edited September 24, 2014 by Matthiaswagg
Terra Nova
Does every scene need it's own quest? EDIT: Okay, nope. Care to elaborate? I thought scenes could not run without a quest. When all I wanted was a scene, I had to make a "quest shell" to hold that scene. The quest itself didn't have to have any other content. Skyrims units of measurements is a little uhm... Lets just say 100 units is maybe a couple of feet from the players position. From the entrance of the hall, to the back of the room is probably a very large unit value. Edited September 24, 2014 by Terra Nova

But I had mistakenly thought (after seeing a quest like MS11's scene quest) that each scene needed it's OWN quest. This is incorrect. You can have more than one scene in a quest. Though it does look cleaner (and maybe works where it wouldn't normally) for larger scene to be contained within it's own quest.
Terra Nova
Ah yes, quests can have many scenes. Although I'm not sure of the max number before the quest gets buggy if that's even possible, but I've seen more than 6 scenes in a quest.
