DB Discussion: How did you... join? :) And why.

I usually end up in the DB by accident; this last time, I was fighting like 4 bandits on the gold road and this mages guild guy comes from nowhere and gets in the middle. Since they don't exactly announce their affiliation-he got chopped in half.

When I killed the Sigil Key Keeper in the Oblivion Gate before he talked to me saying "You should not be here"!

So, yeah... Game counted him as a normal NPC, therefore it counted as murder >:

I tend to kill random guards, unless I run into someone more annoying first...

If I want to join, which I usually don't, I just kill a random villager.

I have yet to kill the same person twice. I'm on my twelfth character, and for some reason, they all go in different directions from the IC.

 

Usually, it's an NPC that my character doesn't like.. Almost always, it's one of those NPCs that won't like you, no matter what you do.

 

Oh, one final question: Is it a bad thing if my characters dream of bathing in their victims' blood? (It was an idea I had for a mod, was wondering if that's too far out there..)

To KaotikKreator well it's a game so it's nothing bad. :teehee: I don't remember the first npc I killed but from my very first playthrough I really liked DB questline I think it's far more interesting than other guilds quests so I killed random npc's but one time I accidentally killed that second Blade, Glenory I think his name is that leads emperor through the sewers and that kill counts as a murder so now I always kill him.

First time i played, i needed a silver weapon to combat ghosts and the like so i killed a guard... and ran like hell!

Usually though the adoring fan is the lucky victim.

I once joined the Brotherhood by accident when playing with my second character. I killed Marguerite Diel, the Mythic Dawn agent sent to kill you, before she attacked me. It counted as a murder and next time i slept, Lucien came.

One time, i just found a random Courier and thought about 'Hmm... does that lady have lots of money' 'No time to t... BAM' Then when i slept and Lucien Lachance came to me, i thought OMG,OMG,OMG!!! Cool Robes, but scary guy... Oh well. BAM! It was my first char. But then after about 2 months ingame, when i slept, guess who came back? Lucien! He told i can join the Brotherhood, then i thought, WHAT!? I KILLED YOU! Now, i'm playing my 273rd character.

After I got out of the sewers, I immediately went into the city and punched a guard in the face for arresting my character for apparently no reason. I got arrested because I didn't want to die in the ensuing battle that would be resisting arrest, and once I was released, I did it again to the same guard. One punch each and every time, right after I was released until he died. I'm persistent like that. That outta teach you to arrest somebody without just cause. Jerk. Got myself some spiffy Legion armor out of it too. :3

 

My very first character, I killed....a sheep. By accident. Yeah. Also, I killed Lucien and took his robe because I wanted it and didn't know you can get one later in the quest line.
