Deletion of Backslashes on initial postings

I've noticed that when I post tutorials or descriptions on new mods, any backslashes (\) in the text will be erased causing examples with paths such as:

C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\

To look like this:

C:Program FilesBethesda SoftworksOblivionData

But if I notice it and catch it, I can edit the tutorial and copy/paste the text back over it and update the page and it will keep the backslashes the second time.

Is this supposed to work this way as a security feature or is it a bug?

EDIT: Looks like you might have fixed it since I was expecting this post to wipe out the example I had in it. Or maybe the problem is only in the tutorials and mod uploads area. I just made this posting since I found that the tutorials that I posted initially stayed the same when browsing the tutorial forums directly but the "tutorial editor" was somehow disconnected from the forum. I guess creating a tutorial creates a separate forum posting or something. I don't know but I went through all my tutorials and copy/pasted the most recent content into the 1st postings.

EDIT #2: BUG CONFIRMED: I created a temporary tutorial here, and it did in fact remove all backslashes.

I posted some comments for this potentially illegal mod with backslashes and it was not affected. It kept the backslashes.

I don't have a mod to post but we can probably bet that it has the same problem when initially posting a mod with backslashes in the description as I have seen this behavior before.

Beginning to wonder if I posted to the correct area.

This should now be fixed. Thanks.

2006... We are in 2014 and it's still not fixed.

I apologize for the necro, I wondered if Dark0ne was aware of this issue and I was surprised to find this post when I searched.

Not a very important issue of course. Keep up with your excellent work on Nexus. The recent evolutions are much appreciated.

Yah, I've noticed it too when posting in file comments. I usually replace all my backslashes with forward slashes to avoid the problem.

Confirmed - been doing pretty much the same with using forward slashes.
