Is this a recurring thing?

It's normal for the captcha to sometimes need reauthentication.

Apparently not today, but yesterday it kept popping up every half an hour.

But looks like today it's working, maybe it was just a glitch fixed.

Over the past few days when doing a manual download from Skyrim Special Edition Mods, I sometimes get a "this file could not be saved because you don't have permissions" or something like that, often just after I have saved a file from the same mod in the same folder...

My OS is win 10, 17763.316 and my browser is FF.

Edit.- it is not necessarily related to folder depth. I just d/led to a folder 10 levels deep. Might be string length? Longish folder names, several layers deep? Dunno. if it were consistent it would be easier to find, but the issue is not going away.

Edit2: Maximum string length for an acceptable place to download:

C:\111111111111111111111111111111\2222222222222222222222222222222\333333333333333333333333333333\444444444444444444444444444444\555555555555555555555555555555\666666666666666666666666666666\7777777777777777777777777

all of the folder names are thirty characters, except for 7, which is 25. Some systems count the c:\ and the succeeding \'s...

One character more and you get the warning. This was using skyrim mod 'the prosperous alchemist', and the Los Angeles node..

Edit 3: I believe that you have to add the mod's character length to get the total character length.

I don't know if anyone else have notice this, but there is an old thread from 2006 that's has one post I think when looking at it in the Morrowind Mod Talk forum.

However, after I clicked on it to read it then there is only one post the OP. I assume this is a bug, but it's a little annoyning and hide the thread is better than seeing a very old post in the subforum.

I have a question/suggestion: Is there a way I can see which files I have voted for in the File of the Month area? If not, can that be added? I was going to vote for a file last night, and it said it would remove my previous vote; but I don't remember what I voted for previously. It wasn't one of the other top files displayed, but just because my earlier pick isn't winning doesn't mean I want to take my vote away from it.

PS: If that's not available, it would be appreciated if a staff member could PM me and tell me what I voted for this month. :-D

Can we get a redirect for links such as "<game>.nexusmods.com/mod/<modID> so that they redirect to the new url format?

Some old links will just send you to the old url and end up having a "not foundâ page error so I need to manually change the url to match the new format everytime I click an old link.

I have a question/suggestion that I searched for and was...surprised I didn't get any results for other people already having asked. (Relatedly, the forums have what I'm asking about, just not the mods.) Why isn't there a keyword search for mods? I don't know the name of the mods I'm looking for, just the feature or effect I'm looking for, and many/most don't have the particular feature I'm looking for in their name...but the search ONLY checks the name of the mods.
