Glad to hear you're enjoying him so much! If you're smitten with him now, then you'll love the Cosmetic Overhaul. Both our artists do spectacular work, and Nivea, who is designing his new skin, tends to err on the side of "sexy" when it comes to making skins for male actors. In case you're interested, I've included some links to her previous work for F:NV.

 

It's also nice to hear your comments about the voice-work (by yours truly). I'll be the first to admit that Atvir's dialogue some sweetening, of course - it's not easy to get the exact same sound in 400 or so different recordings, especially outside of a studio setting. Some of the worst culprits are the hello/goodbye lines, which I rushed in at the last minute, as well as a few of the options in the "Where would you like to meet up?" branch, which had some noise removal issues. Despite these small technical hiccups, I'm glad to hear that Atvir's personality is coming across loud and clear!

Having a problem with him.

 

he has stopped listening to me when I say wait here or hang out here. He just continues to follow me. Anything I can do to turn him around?

 

Also part ways doesn't work. All the dialogue is fine and he agrees to head home but then continues to follow. I remember there was a similar problem with UFO in the early stages but don't know how they fixed it

@WorldofScotty: If you send me a message with a bit more background info on what you were doing with Atvir before the problem occurred, I'll do my best to help you pinpoint and resolve the issue. For instance, did you run and complete the "Was it something I said?" quest shortly before the problem occurred (that's the one where Atvir gets angry when asked to leave)? I have a theory about the cause of the problem you're experiencing, but I'll need to take a look at the mod in the CK. Message me when you can, and in the meantime, I'll look into this bug from my end. Hopefully we'll have a fix for you by tomorrow.

 

EDIT: By the way, I strongly suspect that the two issues you're dealing with have the same root cause. With any luck, we should be able to kill two birds with one stone.

 

@xyks: Since I mod far more than I play, I'm not familiar with AAT - what's the mod's full title? If it primarily modifies vanilla companions or the follower system, then there's almost no chance that it will interfere with AD, or vice versa. Atvir's companion mechanics are completely separate from the vanilla system.

Nah I didn't complete that quest. I did part ways cause I planned to leave him at our new house while I ran off alone and did something but when he got all moody I just reloaded to before.

 

I then had him 'relaxing here' outside my house where I made food and sat by the fire. He was using the tanning rack so he was working then.

 

After we went inside the house and I had him relax there. He lay on the bed and went to sleep. I did the same. Slept for 8 hours. Then another hour for autosave and turned the game off. When I came back he stopped following orders.

 

I have the game set to a timescale of 3. Maybe having him 'hang around here' for 8 hours straight caused the problem?

Amazing Follower weaks I meant, no idea where that second "A" came from ;) It wanted to overriade a dialogue file which I did and form what I can tell everything is still working as intended.

Hello Nexusites!

 

Just dropping by to let you all know that version 0.29 is now available. This version is intended as something of a teaser, to demonstrate some of the functions being toyed with as we prepare for the "Atvir Expanded" content update. Specifically, two new features have been added:

 

1) Atvir now has two new dialogue options, "Here, put this on," and "I think you've found an outfit that works,", which are used to toggle "armor swap mode" on and off. When armor swap mode is active, Atvir will equip (and remember) any armor that you give him - this includes jewellery and clothing. He may still occasionally revert to his primary outfit; however, this will happen far less regularly than in vanilla, and can be corrected by simply changing cells.

 

2) Atvir now has a 15% chance to brawl with any non-hostile Argonian he meets. These fights are non-lethal (though surprised victims may draw steel) and don't need to involve the player. Bear in mind that these melees are triggered by "Hello events", and will mostly occur when Atvir's relaxing or dismissed from the party.

Absolutely love it. About time someone made a follower that was this good. My sodding had is off to ya fearless leader!

Very nice voice acting. I was thinking of doing some myself and looking at getting a good mic to do so. Got my eye on a Yette ATM. Should have it in a week. Mind me asking what the process would be to get started in this? Would love to help you out when I get it! PM me if ya like of course.
