Plugins disabled automatically ?

Vortex did the same thing to me, disabled mods that were already installed/enabled, while I was downloading and installing other mods. I simply re-enabled them and that fixed it. Not sure why it did it though.

I just upgraded to the newest Vortex edition and it disabled not all but at least 20 esp plugin files for Skyrim SE. This is not the first time this has happened and it seems to be an ongoing problem. Yes the files are in the data folder and yes I download the mods with Vortex and yes I deploy them through Vortex. Yes, I can reenable them again (just a pain) but should there not have been a fix by now? Just saying

You can fix it by uninstalling Vortex and switching to MO2. I made the switch a month ago, best decision I could make. You shouldn't have to fear opening your mod organizer because of what will happen the moment you open it.

MO2 the mod organizer written by the same guy who is writing Vortex.

I understood from the beginning that the same guy that worked on MO2 is the same guy working on Vortex. I do think he is amazing to be able to do what he does (I could not do it) so kudos to him. I do like the concept of Vortex, what I don't like is (I think) trying to pass off problems that seems to be ongoing chalked up as "users doing something wrong". Just say yes there is a problem somewhere and we will eventually try to fix it. Now I need to go relax and play my awesome skyrim game with the best mods ever from the community, because I am not usually a confrontational person. Again I don't want to start a argument. I respect you HadToRegister (Beer Ambassador). Thank you for all your advice.

The reason that many problems are chalked up as "users doing something wrong" is because . . . well, users are doing something wrong. I've used Vortex successfully since its alpha days, and I have regularly visited these Vortex forums almost daily for the past year. From my experience I would say that most persistent "problems," including the one discussed in this thread, probably result from user error.

Of course genuine problems do arise. It's also been my experience over the past year that the Vortex developers are quickly alerted to these problems and develop solutions. The solutions are not always immediate, but they come eventually.
