and all my mods isnt even working right smh

What drive and path do you have your games installed to?

What drive and path is your Mod Staging Folder set to?

Do you use Windows Defender? If so, make sure "Controlled Folder Access" is turned off

Are you running Vortex as an Administrator? If so, DON'T

I had the same problem, every time on startup all my plugins would appear disabled / inactive but in wyrebash they showed up as active. I looked up the diagnostic files option in the menu next to the user icon on the top right which also showed that plugins were enabled. Then this morning I shifted to oblivion and then back to skyrim, after which all mods appear enabled... I hope this helps.

Hello

I'm having the same problem, some mods are being disabled

in my case I did a complete reinstall of legacy of the dragon born and that's when all my problems started

I purged all mods, then installed Legacy of the dragon Born

then installed all patches

then run Loot and when i started the game via SKSE I receive the warning of missing mods

I exited went to Vortex and saw There was a lot of them disabled

I turn them on manually in vortex then I go to LOOT and sorts the load order differently from vortex

and it worked

but everytime Vortex does a "prepare game for modding" it disable the same mods

Iin my case

SPERG - I don't have anything that may cause a conflict I think

AOS2 - Again I don't have nothing else that may cause problems

Alternate Start - I do install recently Lorkan Realm so maybe that one

Botox of skyrim - besides from followers I don't have anything else that may cause conflict

And lost some textures of clothing and weapons

Fine clothes - i don't have nothing for that

Merchant clothes - i don't have nothing for that

Dark brotherhood armor and clothes - I don't have nothing that modifies that

Ebony blade - don't have nothing besides from Legacy of the dragon born

The solution I'm using right now is as follows

I do a sorting with loot

then I go to vortex and enable all plugins

If I don't install anything the game works fine

I've noted recently to that during game, some items are not where they are supposed to be

Any help would be apreciated, I don't like the idea of reinstalling all over again

And I hope this helps someone

Skyrim LE 32

vortex is installed in "D" drive

Well, after sifting through that non-stop wall of text, I noticed that you said you PURGED ALL MODS, then Installed Legacy of the Dragonborn and All patches.

Now, what that sounds like is that you PURGED the mods, and then, instead of uninstalling the mods, you just installed the mods over the mods you purged.

So, to clarify, once you PURGED all the mods, did you UNINSTALL the Mods, or did you just go ahead and install mods on top of the already installed (and purged) mods?

Just scouted over the comments . . . couldn't see if this solution was posted, so here we go :

The only reason I know of that makes certain plugins get disabled is the use of the in-game Mod Manager from Bethesda ( SkyUI being the mod I'm aiming at ). Don't use that piece of garbage :D

Could using this mod manager also be the reason for the reported mods ?

Cheers

so get rid of loot ?

Stop running Loot, it's already built into Vortex

When you run loot, it affects the plugins.txt that Vortex uses, which can cause Vortex to disable plugins

Loot standalone gives absolutely valuable info like " you seem to be using CACO, but you have not enabled a patch for this Mod, it can be found here, and gives you a link. After the years of work gone into Loot, I think its features in stand alone version is mandatory. Edit: Vortex built in Loot does not alert you to missing patches. I think the main issue in this thread is Plugins txt is somehow not being written to in some instances. Perhaps an extra save profile thing like NMM has, would help ensure your enabled mod list is updated. I think Vortex is great, just needs a more streamlined interaction between enabling, disabling, and writing updates to plugins.txt. This is vitally important for collections downloads.

Currently I just go with the flow, Vortex bugs and all, If I launch Skyrim and it tells me such and such is missing or was there in your previous, I just relaunch, check Vortex for disabled mods, and re-enable, all we can do for now.

take care,

Jim
