All uninstalled mods are deleted

I just installed Vortex and imported mods from Nexus Mod Manager so that I wouldn't lose track of the mods I'd installed previously. I wasn't sure about the selection of mods I had installed, so I uninstalled all of them. However, once this was done and I started trying to reinstall mods, I checked the list and discovered that they had disappeared from the list completely. Since I uninstalled the mods without checking the names, I could not remember which mods I had uninstalled, so I checked for the file of the only one I could remember and found that it was missing.

It seems incredibly stupid that Vortex should completely delete everything it uninstalls, and with no record of what has been lost, I may never be able to find and re-download all of the mods I have lost. Is there any possible solution at all?

EDIT: Turns out the mods are still there, listed as "never installed". I simply failed to find the missing mod I was looking for. Now I just need to work out how to sort all these mods into the right categories...

EDIT 2: Okay, now I have all the information I need. Thanks everyone!

I have a new problem. Though nearly all of the mods I have installed originally came from the Nexus mods website, I can get no information on them from Vortex, so they are not sorted into categories. Given the sheer number of mods I'm dealing with, this makes sorting the mods extremely difficult.

Go to your mods list on the mods page, select an installed mod, double click on the mod text line (but not on the Status and Actions tabs), and a panel will appear, which is the Mod Details Pane. Go to "Source" and select "Nexus Mods." Look for "Nexus Mod ID" and click on "Guess" (it guesses right most of the time). Once you do that, your mod category will automatically display in the Category column.
