Possible FO:NV Archive Invalidation Error?

More than one person has mentioned that they were having AI issues with Vortex. My game is working, not sure what the difference is. But I saw this and it might be related to the trouble some folks were having:

Mine says that too, because it is indeed, not "Installed", as it's an extension.
It's an extenstion that's Enabled however, and that's what counts.

Where it makes a difference is in the Fallout: New Vegas.ini, where people keep screwing it up, because they keep old habits of Disabling and Reenabling it when they install more mods.

Toggling the Vortex Archive Invalidation removes the highlighted line from the ini, then people come here and complain it doesn't work, and toggling it back on takes some doing, probably shutting down Vortex and reopening it.
I know I fought with it to get it back to working after I did the outdated "Toggle Off and On" thing.

My .ini looks like this. Obvioulsly, it is wrong. But it is working for me, so I am not messing with it.

Have you been toggling the BSA Redirection on and off when you install new mods?

Only toggled once. I am sure that I can clean it up manually. But I am taking the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach................

  • 1 month later...

My Archive Invalidation is enabled and my .ini s look just like shown

I verified that pluggin is enabled and verified my data folder

I enabled the button only once

Invalidation never worked

Here is what Fallout NV Archive Invalidation should look like in "Fallout.ini" when using Vortex:

Before enabling Vortex AI, make sure your Fallout.ini is not write protected.
