Paraklus
I bought the Skyrim Special Edition. I can´t use Mods. "NO DEPLOYMENT METHOD AVAILABLE", I have tried to fix it alone, but I am a noob, so I didn't make it. I alsow can´t use the In game Mod menu. Something like that happens when someone like me tries to install Mods  I hope someone can help me. Thank you in Advance.

The pop up that says NO DEPLOYMENT METHOD Available also tells you which Deployment methods are unavailable and WHY SYMLINKS don't work with Bethesda Games. HARDLINKS will only work if the Game and the Mod Deployment Folder is on the same hard drive.
ShadowGryphon
SSE and the folder are both on the same hard drive, and it's still telling me hardlinks won't work.
Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted November 26, 2018 Community Manager Share Posted November 26, 2018 Have you put the mod staging folder outside of the game directory?
DarkInos
Howdy,...really is there no other way to store Mods on different disc from the games?Using SSD disc for games... (small disc) I do not have that place for mods there.. I'm modding Skyrim VR.. where it is quite needed to use SSD for no performance issues. And I do not have enought place for games + mods there...I do not understand what is the problem with "applying" mods from different discs... in base it is just reworking .ini + copying mods into folders or not? Why should that be problem between 2 discs O.o

Why should that be problem between 2 discs O.o The 'problem' is that Vortex doesn't copy files, it makes hardlinks. This is a feature of some filesystems where the actual binary data of a file exists just once but it 'appears' in more than one place. Vortex places hardlinks to the mod files in the games directory and the game is unable to tell the difference between the hardlink and the actual file. Hardlinks are not the same as 'shortcuts' (in wndows) or 'symlinks' (in *nix). In windows the hardlnks have to be on the same drive as the file that is being linked to. That is just the way that windows works.

Haugse
So was this resolved I'm guessing? I'm having the same issue. Both are on the same drive and I'm getting the message saying "No deployment method available. See notification for more information". There is no notification. The banner that pops up at the top just says "Mods can't be deployed" and the "fix" option does nothing after clicking on it.
