Changing Vortex archive location

Is there any way to change the default archive location for Vortex? I have both the game and Vortex installed on a hard drive. Vortex keeps telling me it needs 9.x GB of space on my SSD, which magically happens to be the size of my mod archive folder. I intentionally have both Vortex and the game installed elsewhere because they don't need to be on the SSD. NMM handled this just fine. Not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but forcing me to use my high speed storage to store things that shouldn't be opened more than once is flat out stupid.

It's also worth noting that when you uninstall Vortex the appdata\roaming\vortex folder isn't deleted. It should be.

These are very basic settings that would've been answered by reading the Wiki or watching the Tutorials.

Don't put your Mod Staging or your Download folder INSIDE any of your game folders.

And who was it that forced you to do that? You do have the option to change the archive download location in Vortex.

And what happens when you try to click apply and nothing happens? I like vortex but it has been a royal pain in my neck lately! I have deleted skyrimse, nuked it to say the least, and then nuked Vortex to try and do a clean install, I reinstall, and vortex tells me it just aint gonna work!!!!!! I clicked on Suggest a location..Vortex suggested it allright, then impudently will not allow me to click Apply! So, what do I do to fix it? I hope you decide to reply.

Are you talking download folder or deployment folder? It sounds like you are talking about the deployment folder which is a different subject from the previous posts in this thread.

best thing to do is open a new thread, not necro one from the last century. everyone on the original thread retired to florida years ago.
