avatarvszelda
Hello! I live in the butt crack of nowhere, whit internet measured in the Kilobytes (This is in Rural USA). I work 30 miles away, and the internet at work is decent-ish (~8 mbs). I have games that I want to mod at home, but I can not download the mods on that desktop. Is there a way to download mods through vertex for use on another computer? I just need to get it on a flash drive. If not and I have to install the files without the program, is there a way to get them added to the manager AFTER I have them installed manually? I love the structure of a mod manager (I used to use NMM), but The requirement to have the game installed on the computer downloading the file is throwing me for a loop. Thank you, and I hope someone has a solution for me.
DoctorKaizeld
you can download the mods and then add them to vortex by dragging and dropping them into the "drop files" box

HadToRegister
Must be a real pain to have to download the games at home
avatarvszelda
I had downloaded most of the games while in college 2 years ago. Otherwise, I will just download the games onto the flashdrive (I use GOG for most games, not steam)
Pickysaurus
Steam does have an option you may find useful. "Backup game files" is found in the right-click menu of a game. This will make a compressed copy of the game you can restore at home. More info here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8794-yphv-2033 (I don't think GOG has anything like that unfortunately).
