Move Vortex mod folder to another drive

No the disk is NTFS & its a single healthy partition

I am getting one message on it though when I check its properties "device not migrated "

but thats followed by 2 further messsages

I think the best you can do is edit it, and replace the text by something like "This post deleted".

I do that when I accidently submit a duplicate post...

I'm commenting this old post in case someone is as dumb as me. That was the most useful post i've found (yep i'm that stupid).

Followed the steps from Rattledagger and worked perfectly fine.

Good to know. Storage has gotten cheap. I just bought a 2 TB WD Black SN850X for $118.00 and plan to install it tonight.

@zanderat hi i have non steam version, shall i leave the data folder for vortex and copy everything else manually

to new ssd?

Avoid copying anything manually. Whatever service you use, you want that program to move the game so that everything gets properly updated.

what happens if you just copied and pasted the vortex filed into my D drive? I don't know now if I duplicated the mods since I didn't know to purge the files and now the settings its still says my mods are in my C drive????

how do you do that? I do not have vortex downloaded through steam and I didn't know that was possible.
