henryvoll
So .. ok, thinking of how to explain this.I LOVE Vortex .. I have been off the games for a wile, but just recently got back into it - went premium, and got Vortex, and it is SO much simpler. I started playing Skyrim SE the other night, got everything set up, and started downloading MODs. Tried to keep to mods fairly recently updated, and everything worked nicely. No errors in Vortex, and I played the game to level 10 with my current character. Played as a Vampire (mod), and didn't decide to go to Whiterun to start the main quest until now, at level 10 (Always so much fun in that game). After I got to Whiterun, the game quits seemingly randomly, with no errors. The desktop just appears, and the .exe is just GONE.I can easily restart, and play for another few minutes, but it always happens.I tried disabling a couple of things, like advanced lighting, but .. it always happens now, after Whiterun. It doesn't seem consistent either. Never the same spot, never at the same time interval - just random.Sometimes I can play for 30 seconds, and other times maybe 15 minutes, but then it happens. BOOM .. just quit.I imagine it's one of the mods, but .. is there a log I can check to figure this out? Also .. and I guess this is a dodgy question, but how .. many hundreds (not really) of MODS can we run before it becomes .. well .. unstable? :smile:Thanks

Running across a field and BOOM, there's my desktop with no warning. I think you're going to have to purge your mods, and enable them one by one, while staring a new game
AugustaCalidia
What if you create a separate profile for testing? Once created, disable all the mods and then start re-enabling them one by one.
henryvoll
Thank you for the tips. I guess I will try and do something like that, and it makes sense. It will just take sooo long. well, possibly. I Could be lucky and find the right mod right away, but let's face it .. it never works like that. It is going to be one of the last I try. hehe
AugustaCalidia
Yes, a basic truth of mod testing is that it's always the last one that's the problem.

rmm200
Robin - what benefit do Spam bots get? I can't figure out how they make money from this behavior. Not even ad clicks...
