TheIrishTurtle
I'm currently trying to swap two mods in my load order and move workshop framework (wf) above Sim settlements (ss), is there an easy way to do this rather than having to faff about with categories? In nmm it was a simple case of moving one up in priority but as far as I can tell I'll have to create a new category and move its priority above SS but then create another set of categories to make sure it doesn't go above other higher mods in the load order it seems like such a long solution for something that used to be so easy. Am I missing something here.
AugustaCalidia
All you need to do is make a simple rule that Sim Settlements load after Workshop Framework. What happens when you sort plugin order with Vortex? When talking about "categories," are you talking about LOOT groups? If so, don't touch those. HadToRegister
I'm currently trying to swap two mods in my load order and move workshop framework (wf) above Sim settlements (ss), Why? Sim Settlements is an ESM now, also, it says right on the description page if you're using the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch, that Workshop Framework needs to load AFTER the Unofficial Patch.Meaning, if you move WF ABOVE SS, then you'll be loading WF and SS BEFORE the UFO4P Also, WF should load AFTER SS

HOWEVER because I'm testing things out with other custom mods I need a different load order, so no WF should not load after SS, as that is not what I'm trying to do. If you're going to post an answer, do it to the question asked not your own contrived rubbish. Thanks

Thanks I was trying to help. But thanks for the personal attack. As I said, SS is an ESM now, not an ESP anymoreYou do NOT need to have WF before SS, as a matter of fact, it's supposed to load AFTER SS If you're going to insult the people who are trying to help you, then go find help somewhere else then. I'm not going to waste my time with someone who is going to insult me for helping. If you have custom mods, then make them with the proper load order. You're trying to force a Framework for SS, to load BEFORE SS instead of properly loading AFTER it. Good luck with that, and welcome to my block list.
TheIrishTurtle
ÃÂ Why?ÃÃÂ Sim Settlements is an ESM now, also, it says right on the description page if you're using the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch, that Workshop Framework needs to load AFTER the Unofficial Patch.Meaning, if you move WF ABOVE SS, then you'll be loading WF and SS BEFORE the UFO4PÃÃÂ Also, WF should load AFTER SSI'm fully aware of this description. Good luck with that, and welcome to my block list. How is that an insult or even a personal attack? I simply pointed out you weren't trying to help, you were trying to point out how what I'm doing isn't needed which has nothing to do with what I asked. Helping would have just been oh here you go this is what you need to do. Just like Augusta did.And again it has nothing to do with my custom mods load order, I'm looking at how swapping those two mods around affects them and my own mods interaction, but again that has nothing to do with what I'm trying to do so I didn't feel the need to explain. If your going to answer your own contrived questions rather than help and answer the question someone posts. My advice is don't, especially if you can't accept criticism for doing so, and especially if you think it's an insult when called out for doing so. 'Welcome to my block list' Please do, so you don't waste my time again, lol snowflakes will be snowflakes.

The only categories that I know of are on the mods categories, which have nothing to do either with load order or with install order. On the plugins page, you will find LOOT groups. Is that what you're talking about? As for making a rule, click on the "Manage Rules" button on the plugins page taskbar and use the drop down menu to set your rule. Review the appropriate article in the Vortex Knowledge Base accessed from the dashboard. There's helpful information there.

Zanderat
From the plugins tab, why not just drag the icon on the right from one mod to the other? You know, drag and drop. Contrary to popular belief, you can do this Vortex.
