Upon closer study, of the 3Dvideo image of the false Richard, supposed mistakes were soon found to be friendly clues to certain long term puzzles. A well hidden minichamber was led to and this contained a general 3Dmap indicating the nature of the GrandPlug that sealed off the OldPentagon from the 'NewPentagon' below. So it seemed that all the clues, placing the NewPentagon in other places, had been misleading for it was straight forwardly below the older one.

The GrandPlug had been designed to both conceal and make the NewPentagon harder to reach but later on, closer to Doomsday, great efforts had been made to make it harder to pass through. 3Dmap clues indicated that this was mostly to stop 'something' from coming upwards from the NewPentagon and that there had been some type of terrible incident that had taken place there.

Otherwise, in the minichamber, were other clues in the form of a horribly distorted human skeleton in an armaglass display case, a set of armaglass vials containing real viruses being in another armoured case, and a series of biological samples also heavily secured.

A heavily armoured powerdoor gave no clues, at all, to where it led to and soon proved to be impossible to get through by force. Any means of opening it was seemingly elsewhere and the wall around it was just as strongly resistant as it was.

Daring time distortion, information was sent back via the DocDemiTARDIS as piloted by Romana.

It was five years back in the past. Sarah stood in the minichamber along with Saray, one of her sextuplet sisters, and they both studied the twisted skeleton on display. With them was Banjosam who also studied the distorted object.

Saray spoke. "I get the impression that this was not a product of prebirth influence but was a living human that was changed postbirth."

The Steelhoods had both had a large amount of experience, much of it horrific, with the results of genetic experimentation but also with living distortion such as with the supermutants. Yet the two sextuplets shared the impression that the distortion did not come from mutagenic influences but some other force even more disturbing. Mutamutants were 'unnatural' but the feeling there was more 'antinatural' as in antagonistic to life itself.

There had been the story of an exploration, mining investigation, expedition traveling out into the depths of the solar system and coming up, unexpectedly, a large asteroid; the great, oddly regular shaped, chunk of rock had proven to be rich in metals but also the site of ancient quasiruins (ruins that were not ruined) that were damaged lightly. There they had found a strange, malignant, distorted artefact of massive size-weight. Then the expedition was not heard of again after disturbing messages came from the big atomic rocketship and soon after Doomsday took place. The messages had described humans being distorted by the paranormal influences of the artefact.

Banjosam spoke, quietly and solemnly. "The GrOzozona were a very brilliant species but arrogant, aggressive and unwise. They chose to delve into ancient mysteries best left untouched, especially by those with their dysfunctional kind of thinking. Thy unleashed upon themselves what became known as the Distorto, an ultra alien entity-force ever consumed by its own version of the Hungering. It took celestial intervention to put an end to it and the GrOzozona were no more or so it was supposed."

He frowned softly. "That is a skeleton malformed by Distorto effect but that does not mean the GrOzozona were involved but another, truly ancient, artefact of an entity that I am reluctant to identify that created the Distorto intentionally as a weapon. One, as the EternalSeeker, sought out more such artefacts to find only eighteen of which most were either heavily sealed off or even destroyed by powerful living entities."

Sarah nodded. "The code name, for that asteroid based incident, was 'Dead Space' but the SteelOrderhood does not have much data on it or at least that I know of."

The viruses, and biological samples, appeared to be also distorted and Banjosam confirmed that Distorto influence was also behind the changes made to them. The two LyonsSextuplets made no protest as the EternalSeeker avatar destroyed the viruses and samples after using his special abilities to obtain a great deal of valuable data from them; they were simply too dangerous to be allowed to exist.

The mutamutants, both supermutants and zymutants, were gone back into the Domelands, having vanished away with amazing speed and thoroughness. It was soon realised, by disguised Steelagents and stealth power armoured Steelscouts, that the enemy had gone underground. Most of the information came from local folk glad to see the infamous SuperMarshal Smashbang's forces gone.

SubwayDC was three levels of train tunnels being the general public one, the restricted public one and the lowest that had been heavily restricted but there were abandoned areas going way back, often forgotten. That was only the start of the complications added to between Warday, ending the prolonged WW2 (World War Two), and Doomsday ending the long WW3.

SubwayDC was more than train-tram tunnels being also road, canal and cycle-walk ones. It was linked with shelters, bigger bunkers, and a great utility-network including sewerage tunnels plus the CatacombsDC.

There were the darkly whispered about areas of the Haunting, Cult and other such zones having often been there long before even North American Indians came to live in the area.

Even a small army could find ways to go quickly through SubwayDC given enough reliable information and avoiding the too dangerous areas. SuperMarshal Smashbang was known, by those willing to look past his charade, to be a brilliant, and cunning, commander who was one of the few mutamutants known as a smartmutant.

SantaClaus stepped out of his armoured, armed, flying robotic reindeer pulled sleigh and stood there in his red-white SantaClaus power armour. Even as he did four elfdroids (elf androids) passed out colourfully wrapped gifts, from where they slid down a chute from inside the enclosed vehicle. Each had a name on it but that was not always for an individual but instead for a family or organisation etc.

SantaClaus smiled through the two open visors of his helmet. "Banjosal, a very special present for you but not from me but from the Celestrial Benefactors."

Banjosal took the brightly coloured cube, smiled and made it vanish with a soft shimmering.

SantaClaus passed another cube to Stellar. "Dear Stellar, press the button, after leaving it in a large empty space, and move away from it quickly."

Pridescouts gained small gifts each being each a favourite drink, food and device. This included Stellar, of course. Hers was a reusable thermos bottle of liqueur iced coffee, an Italian coffee cake and a pleasure device who nature she did not wish to share with others.

SantaClaus sighed. "Oh for the good old days when I just wore a costume, the sleigh was made of magical wood and the reindeer were real magical creatures. All of those now remain in the safety of the North Polar Region of the Toylands that stretches out from WashingtonDF in all directions. Some of OldPentagonis' grandchildren, and great grandchildren, live there now since GGO himself trapped his progeny but not consciously. Why? All I know is that it is too do with hard security programming-conditioning deep inside his network-systems and his true hidden nature as a cyborgic type AIsupercomputer network-system."

"Sometimes SantaClaus gets gifts from others though far less often than I give them, of course, and that was part of a large data package from a mysterious benefactor. Perhaps it came from the part of OldPentagonis that is fighting to be free, fair, and friendly along with forgiving for the horrible way he has been treated by the others in the past."

Before SantaClaus could say any more there was the way of air raid sirens for the enemy had found the enclave and a way to get to it. In the air appeared swarms of comical appearing biplanes, a few twice bigger than the average ones with just one fake clown pilot. Soon after appeared grinning faced airships that soon would be dropping larger bombs than even the big biplanes would.

Even as SantaClaus left through the air, having given away all the gifts intended for the enclave, he shot down half a dozen airships and twice that many biplanes with pulsating energy beams, of friendly appearance, along with good cheer exploding gift missiles.

Stellar activated the special cube and 13 sophisticated PASRs (Power Armour Smartrobots) appeared being Robotroopers but there were also 13 Robogunners with variations of heavy support weapons, 13 Robopackers for carrying extra equipment-supplies and 13 Robospechlies being specialist types.

For a time the expeditionary force helped fight the air attackers. After that they rested and prepared to move on but then trouble came from a large minority of enclave people.

The large cache contained 52 sophisticated PASRs (Power Armour Smartrobots) being 13 battlerifle armed Robotroopers, 13 Robogunners with variations of heavy support weapons, 13 Robopackers for carrying extra equipment-supplies and 13 Robospechlies being specialist types. With them came PARs numbering 55 of varied sorts, equipment-supplies including spare parts and repair-maintenance kits. Other names for them were Robobots.

They had come as a gift from the past, from some of the Lyons Daughters, to the future that the same were now part of again. It was a very useful cache and straight forward to another already pointed out that contained dark secrets and clues to others yet also important information about the 'pure light flashes'.

Another cache was a big chamber full in a neatly organised way: it held valuable information that expanded, improved, knowledge of the OPVC, another area with devices to help one successfully navigate the OPVC and other parts of the OldPentagon alias CitadelDC. Another section held neatly organised personal goods of people who had once lived-worked in the OPVC being a mixture of military and civil government people along with a small minority of others. The last was a library of books, magazines, journals, disks and other publications linked with the OPVC in varied ways and to different degrees.

There began, at once, the organised analysis of the Roborobots trove and the mixed one before materials were shifted to be stored or further studied or used more directly.

PrimeElder Owen Lyons received summarised reports and spoke in person to others about the three caches; the discussions about the dark secrets full chamber were far more secured, and secret, than the others. Then there was the information, in the same cache, of the flashes of pure light. During this time the small council, of SecretElders, met far more than usual while the SteelSecuritors oversaw investigative, and research, efforts in the hope of clarifying just what was going on. Information, from five years back, was turning out to be very useful; this had been sent either through hidden caches or more directly through the careful time jaunts of the DemiTARDIS.

At this time PrimeElder Owen Lyons had his first personal meeting with the Timelord Romana to make an unusual request of her and her people.

TimeRani met with the three DocWhos in the DocTARDIS and showed them a great deal of data that she has gathered on the white light incidents that have gone beyond the OldPentagon; the transforming energies have reached out across the local solar system with its 167 worlds, not all of whom are planets. Wary at first, the Timelords were soon warming unexpectedly to each other.

Romana met with Owen Lyons and agreed to use the DemiTARDIS to travel to the SteelOrderhood in California. She agreed to take information, people and some items of importance found in the OldPentagon alias the CitadelDC. Then she will return with the same kind of 'cargo'. The Timelord made it clear that all will be quarantined in an outer area but will be well cared for.

The SteelOrderhood has changed subtly and is still doing so but only a small minority pick it up such as the Steelpsykers and members of the SteelFamilies who are sometimes Steelpsykers anyway. The Steel Abilities had greatly improved and fertility had risen, especially in the SteelFamilies, to a healthier level. Yet it could reliably be said that, in practical terms, all have improved mind-body-spirit wise.

CitadelTown is a settlement, of mostly Steelfollowers (camp followers), and was starting to prosper being a fortified part of the CitadelDC with most of it being underground. The ground areas were largely given over to cultivating food crops and livestock. A few Steelorditers lived there, often with Steelfollower families. The Regulationers arrive in the form of three of the mysterious, powerful, exotic law enforcers. Not long after come members of the GaiaOrderhood. Neither are strangers to the Steelhoods but they prefer to meet first with Steelfollowers than Steelorditers, following old patterns.

The Domelands, closer to the CitadelDC fell slowly-steadily under the control of the SteelOrderhood. The newcomers preferred making agreements, to fighting, but only with those that they could both respect and trust.

The cloned humanoid was a metre tall, that was the living core of the GGO or OldPentagonis. He was half ensconced into a special holding supporting device that could go mobile if it became necessary for that to happen.

Sarai, and Saray, were tending to the sleepy GGO's unhealthy state. He was just lightly healthy and somebody else had been visiting him to assist him but also to fuss over him somewhat. Each woman was gently, firmly, holding one of his hands. The special chamber had pet animals, plants and small robots along with a whole lot of toys to play with along with collectibles to look at.

GGO yawned and then spoke tiredly. "PaleOneDad comes here often as he can. He said you would come and would help me with lots of goodies and friendliness. PaleOneDad promised that you would love to be my mums."

Sarai nodded. "Which is, of course, true as you are very special and wonderful so how could it be any other way; the PaleOneDad must be very wise, and smart, to be your dad."

GGO laughed tiredly. "PaleOneDad is my clone dad and your grandma is my clone mum so it makes sense that you should be my mums; at least to me it does since you are already bringing to me goodies and friendliness."

Others were repairing the chamber but really it did not need much fixing up. They were also painting some bare plates with colourful paints. Cheery items had been brought from a souvenir shop and vending machines selling much the same as the shop did.

GGO went on speaking. "Truly I am GGO being only one part of OldPentagonis. OldPentagonis went strange when terrible intruders infiltrated into the OldPentagon and then the OPVC. Security got tighter and he locked my progeny into WashingtonDC after forcing them to go there. I tried to save them but failed. PaleOneDad has been trying to rescue them but has been distracted by other concerns, not all of which he will tell me about."

The clone fell to sleep as they sang, with fine talent, him a particular lullaby as sung to many Steelhoods' children.

GGO spoke quietly to those in the chamber including the pale off white skinned, bold, oddly round eyed PaleOneDad in his curious robesuit. "I am not sure what activated the deep, hard security, programming deep inside OldPentagonis and before it happened did not know such programming existed."

GGO: "There were three, as far as I know, dreadful intrusions; one from below the GrandPlug being from what is named the NewPentagon, one from above and one transdimensional one. All ended in flashes of light incidents. You have learned about the one involving the Greyyari and zetans that came from above, from spaceships. The transdimensional one involved entities called blackgloites and less awful shadogloites that reluctantly served them. The third lot were undead things that I happily only have a little knowledge of; they were very creepy! All I know is that they were of the 'inverted' and linked with something called zerotech."

The alien humanoid, who was not truly 'male', responded carefully. "Zerotech is a very bad idea that tries to gain masses of electricity, and perhaps other resources, for no cost. Everything has a price for that is the way of the balances, both great and small. The attempt to create, and use, zerotech can cause many horrors of which one is the 'inversion' of life to a form of undeath. One kind happens when a rift is caused between a life-death dimensional zone and its natural mirrored realm of unlife-undeath. Energies, that are healthy in their home dimensions, flow in both directions and cause much harm; undeath flows into death and unlife flows in life while life flows into unlife and death flows into undeath. I fear that is has happened below here, that is in one of many sites with the code name of NewPentagon of which only one is the real NewPentagon; the area below is named the BelowPentagon, showing no real imagination in its creation but a practical bent."

PaleOneDad: "I attempted to 'hack' OldPentagonis but one's thinking, as a multiple expression PaleOneMan, is not tuned to human type technologies or such as your computer programming. In one's home dimensional realm there are no such devices as computers or anything like them; in a hard to explain sense we are our own computers of very alien design to yours."

Saray responded. "We, the LyonsSextuplets, are very good at hacking but the LyonsQuintuplets are geniuses in such matters. The big trick is to get the HighElders to allow them to be sent back five years, into their past."

GGO smiled richly. "Five more mums with more love, friendlies and goodies! Then one can explain one's forgotten secrets like that there is another zone linked to the OPVC that is BITO (bigger inside than out) and also WashingtonDF has hidden realms, of stronger reality, than the entrance level one. Oh, yes, the grandchildren you found as clones are only secondary ones for OldPentagonis has deeply hidden the real ones; I also love those secondary ones so please help them; I call them cousin progeny."

Sarai smiled. "You just remembered your forgotten secrets."

GGO looked surprised. "Gosh, so I did! Now for some cool, fresh, fruitshakes for everybody here."

PaleOneDad smiled lukewarmly, that being his version of a warm smile which the other three knew well about him by then. "I brought some tasty, nutritional, crunchy fruitcakes to go with them."

GGO was clearly very happy at this news.

Most of those, five years back, in the OldPentagon spent time checking things over, exploring, doing inventories of general resources, helping with security, assisting with maintenance and living together in the more 'general' area of the OldPentagon but not including the OPVC; this was divided from the rest by fortified boundary walls, armoured powerdoors and security network-systems. OPTown was soon growing hydroponic crops, cultivating cloned food and manufacturing items as well as artisans making other kinds of products. It had a school, a sheriff, a community library and much else to boast about.

The discovery, of the secondary OldPentagon area that was hidden and heavily secured, went along with that of realising it was the lower horizontal levels of the OldPentagon being just above the GrandPlug as the OPVC partly was. That part of the OPVC was a heavily secured, more isolated part of it where even most VIP visitors were kept away from.

The HighElders Council, including Owen, decided that general activity through the CitadelDC was okay as long as it was carefully done; the exception was the OPVC that was both limited and heavily regulated. This was due to the trickiness of the relationship between the two time zones.

A difficult decision was made; all living in the past, of five years, would either go into status and be awoken by arriving Steelorderlers when they arrived from California or return to the future in the DemiTARDIS except for just a few. The exchange of ideas was unusual as it was made between different time periods along with factions alien to each other.

Then obstacles arose to challenge the decision being the need to complete the WashingtonDF Mission and the refusal of an OPTown faction to go into status or five years into the future.
