Wolfsoul74
Tech info: Vortex 1.3.13 stable Game: Skyrim SE 97 mods Windows 10 64 bit Ok, new PC so new modded game. I'm 98% sure I installed skse 64 correctly. When launching the game from Vortex it loads and runs but I get a message that skse did not start up. I close the game and restart then it says the save is corrupted and that NONE of the mods are there when they are there. I'm completely confused at this point. Let me know what other info may be needed. Thank you.
jorgenk1974
1- Im not very familiar with Vortex, Since I find MO2 (Mod Organizer 2, which your can find on the Nexus) a much better and stable Mod Manager to work with. SKSSE 64 is in almost every case correctly installed, the problem usually is with a converted SKYRIM LE mod, the only solution is in this matter, that you have to uninstall EVERY mod you have and reinstall them, .. first your do things like the body/clothing related mods .. test.. then you do other modgroups like Loverslab mods before you turn your attention to gameplay which you can do one by one.. till you find the mod responsible.. then it can be 2 things... "source" part within scripts is incompatible (simply remove it or make it an archive beside next to scripts) or the mod is still in the wrong form (43 instead of 44). Be warned tho there may be multiple mods that could be in your game causing it, so if you find one, continue to install them one by one, till you are sure it was the only one.. otherwise you have to start all over again. That's your opinion, and not particularly helpful or relevant. The rest of your post was fine though :) @WolfSoul: Could you provide more info on the messages you see? If your game is installed to the Program Files folder, this may be some kind of permission problem.

If your game is installed to the Program Files folder, this may be some kind of permission problem. It says: "Skse not working. SkyUI not loaded." Upon restart and trying to load the save (an autosave in the prison you start in with Live Another Life) I get a list of all the mods I have saying they are not present then a message that the save is corrupt. But I can restart vortex and it does it all over again.

If you wanted to make a point that you're not familiar with Vortex, then "I'm not very familiar with Vortex", was all that was needed, and should've ended there, instead you made sure to make a unnecessary endorsement for MO2. There should NOT be a folder in "steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\" called "skse64_2_00_19"

HadToRegister
I have, but thank you. OK, look in your dashboard...in Vortex There should be an entry for SKSE64 there, (Called SKyrim Script Extender look at the Screenshot) does it have a little white banner on it? If not, then you need to set SKSE64 to PRIMARY... Click the three vertical dots on the Skyrim Script Extender box, and from the little menu that pops up select MAKE PRIMARY.Now when you start Skyrim SE from Vortex, SKSE64 should start right up

The criticism wasn't for you not being familiar with Vortex, and if you're not familiar with it, why do you think you're qualified to offer support for it?
