Well depending on my mood sometimes I'll load up with a bunch of cheat mods and just go out and have fun pillaging and killing. Especially if I have War of the Commonwealth installed. After a while just doing quests and following the main story line (which I still haven't completed as yet) it just becomes too boring to me so I end up starting a new game, load up my cheats and just have fun for a while. :happy:

Well generally a crash of this type is related to an issue with an ESM but your load order seems to be ok. One other reason for a crash of this type can sometimes be because your game video settings is different from your Windows desktop video setting. Have you check that to be sure they are the same?

Welcome to the world of FO4 where some people using basically the same mods and adequate PC hardware will CTD while others do not and some never or at least say they have never had CTDs. It's almost like a dog chasing his tail but never catching it. :confused: I know this reply has not help in the least and I'm sorry for that. But CTDs are just so frustrating to figure out. Just read the forums and see how many posts have been made about them and how more often than not nothing really gets resolved. :wallbash:

For the biggest chuckle I got was in Far Harbor the first time I encountered a hermit crab. I was approaching it from the rear... Cracked me up when I got to it and realized it wasn't a van... :huh:

Curious about what time of the day that you noticed the DLC being installed? I seem to only get DLC installs during real late night hours when luckily I'm never playing. Not the same however for game updates. They come whenever they want to send them out. But I don't remember ever having a game CTD because of a game update. I've just noticed that they have been installed after quiting a game and then trying to start again and F4SE tells me I have a new version installed. :confused:

Well for me and I mean me FO4 is like a half of a game. Maybe even less than that. Now a lot of people like the settlement building aspect and so the so called Workshop DLCs fit right in for that train of thought. But for me I can't stand that aspect of the game. Just totally bores the hell out of me. It's just makes the game feel like not a FO game. Again this is just how I feel and I know that there a lot of people who definitely feel much differently which is fine by me. As far as the main story line goes? Well I personally could care less just like I did with FO3 and especially FONV. At least I did followed the main story line in FO3 to the end once though it didn't excite me so I never bothered doing it again. And I've never bothered with it in FONV. Found it totally boring to no end. And so far I haven't bothered with it in FO4. I'll have to follow it to a point as some time just to go and check out the institute I guess. Then again maybe not. With this all said do I like all of the FO games? Yes. FO3 is my favorite though now I play it as part of Tale of Two Wastelands. And I do actually really enjoy FO4 playing it the way I want to play and that being scavenging and exploring and having massive firefights using the mod War of the Commonwealth. I just like playing it without having to think too much and for that the game works for me. But again that's just me. But I can agree how the game lacks what would make it work for others or how it make others feel very disappointed. But again it's just a stinking game and not worth the bother of getting all worked up about like some get. But what is worth the reason to get worked up about is how Beth has handled the mod theft issue. That's been totally disgraceful.

No... There isn't a new game exe. This was only adding an additional esm. I can honestly tell you I'll have no idea about anything regarding this so called DLC (if you really want to call it that). I'll never bother even checking it out. :down:

Well I think that too many people probably came into playing Skyrim or FONV after the game had been out for a while and many mods had been developed and now they are playing FO4 much earlier and expect to see those same type complex mods almost immediately. BTW I'm not saying the OP is such a person. I'm just saying this might be the general thinking of many users who never had to wait for mods in the past and don't have a real good understanding on what is involved. And as Vampire Dante mentioned above most of the larger mods will not show up until after all of the DLCs are released so the mod authors are more clear on what the whole process will involve.

Well I am currently in Far Harbor and I've notice that I've been coming across harpoons that are stuck in trees or just laying on the ground. When try to pick them up it gives me the option to do so but when I try to nothing happens. Though once in a while I am able to pick one up off the ground but most of the time I am unable to do so. Now I am using War of the Commonwealth and I see the Synths and Children of Atom going at it a lot and that is where I really see a lot of harpoons as a residue of their skirmishes. So maybe it's something to do with that mod. Anyway has anybody encounter this, whether using WOTC or not? Thinking that it might possibly be a bug that needs fixing?

Sure hope that when it finally does happen that the mod authors will update their mods that currently are using the holotape method. This method is ok but sort of a pain to access.... MCM would be so much easier.

Or possibly more likely Skyrim seeing how popular it is... But wouldn't it really require a completely new game engine. If it CTDs like crazy now how would it be like playing it coop? It would be frustrating as hell.... OK I don't play multiplayer games at all. But say FO4 was made to be able to play, lets say two people at a time for argument sake, then I would guess it would either have to be played completely vanilla or would each person would need to have exactly the same mods installed? Or would texture type mods not matter? Are there any current multiplayer games out there that currently get modded? As I said I don't pay any attention to those type of games.

I'm using the qqq now (yes I remembered :yes: ) and it works fine. No longer use Alt-F4 anymore :no: .

Your particular problem is that you are trying to mob me out of the discussion. You use signal words like "troll", hoping for a moderator to remove me. Wrong on so many counts. Sure ok I get that but then again some games are just meant to be or should be single player. Now I have nothing against multiplayer if that's your thing but it's just not for me. Thus one main reason I like Beth games especially the FO games. Skyrim however... Not a big fan...

In the time you've been a member of this site, you've endorsed zero mods here. Do you consider yourself in support of modding as a whole? Or in support of the website that hosts mods which are stolen? If you have authored mods of your own, then why would your stance not be to support modding, and to reject the site which seems to not care about mod-theft? Or, are you simply here to antagonize and troll the modders on this site? It seems to be the case that you do nothing but turn discussions into disputes, and all the while, you don't endorse anything here. Why is that? Well he claims to have mods on Beth but when he was asked even by Dark0ne to tell us what his mods were so we could maybe check out his work he responded to Dark0ne by saying he sent him a personal message. He, for whatever reasons, will not reveal what his mods are. Maybe he's afraid that someone will steal them and put them on Nexus... :smile: He's basically here just to troll.

Yes, qqq is a console command. AFAIK, it has been there since Morrowind and maybe before that. Old habits die hard. Alt-F4 is a Windows function to "Close Current Window" and has caused some issues with video drivers when using that function to close games. If it works for you, keep on keepin' on. I can not recommend it in good conscience. Ok thanks. I'll try using qqq if I remember....... Wait it was qqq right???? :confused:

Well this probably isn't causing your problem but I see that you have Wet as well as Vivid Waters installed. These both do basically the same thing and I'm not sure it's a good thing to run them together. I'd pick one or the other and get rid of the one you don't want. Well have you tried running with your mods disabled to see if runs ok? This would rule out a possible mod issue as maybe causing the problem. Also since you are using FO4 v1.4 you can't verify your game cache which possibly could fix any game file issue like a missing texture file or something. I know that you probably want to run 1.4 because of so many reported issues upgrading to 1.5 but if you can't fix this then you might have to reinstall the game which means updating it to 1.5.
