What does the above user's signature say about them?
Corakus replied to Moarp's topic in Forum Games
The above user likes eagles and not turkeys. -
I agree with what you say, dragons are just returning as you start the game.I'm still not too happy with NPCs with the exact same voices though, 60 voice actors you think they could''ve divided it up a bit in a small town. Also I noticed a part of this article. Really, really hope those are khajiit or orc kids they're talking about, I don't see why they should have ugly kids in Skyrim when the FO3 kids didn't look too ugly.

What Race to choose... And what to play as.

Well he's greener and less yellowish than Oblivion orcs but I can't tell from the screen if he is bulkier than Imperials or Nords since I don't have either to compare it to in the screen. For me though I'm worried more about the elves, elves were atrocious in Oblivion, a lot of them had blocky faces and didn't seem fair enough to be elves. -

Orcs are so unpopular in TES games because they rarely look like orcs do in other fantasy universes, they're about the same size as Imperials.People would like them better if they didn't look like green elves with fangs. When people unfamiliar with the TES series see the word "Orc" they usually expect something that looks like the Uruk-hai from the LOTR movies. -

@ Tuco404 Only for mages, Altmer would be a terrible choice for a warrior.Though a Breton wouldn't be quite as bad, you would still be better off with a Nord for a warrior.Breton is fairly popular, though according to this poll, Nord seems to be what people will play the most. -
If it could even be half as good as the spells in Midas Magic than it would be a huge step up from vanilla Oblivion.

Why not? There was a quest in Oblivion where your task was literally to go kill six bears and return with their fangs as proof. Not that I want those kind of quests in the game, I'm just saying they've done it before.

Either way, looking at the demos I'm almost certain that caves don't have doors anymore, it probably works something like the Immersive Caves mod where you either automatically enter the cave when walking towards it and get a loading screen or you have to press the activate button when you get to the cave entrance.

Potential for a movie.

Sometimes those two go hand in hand with each other, a game which never presents you with any real challenge is a game that will become stale rather quickly.Morrowind's combat may have been simpler, but it was also much more difficult than Oblivion's.And it wasn't the type of the difficult that you got from turning the the difficulty slider all the way up in Oblivion, since all that would do is make it impossible to win against anything without gulping down large amounts of potions. No, it was the type of a difficult which was hard and frustrating at first, but would become easier with enough patience and perseverance.

This is something we won't be able to tell until we really play the game or a dev clarifies for us.In my opinion though, where he said "the water will lead you out sometimes" he wasn't right at the exit for the dungeon, if you look at the 14 min video that aired on G4 you can see he goes up through that tunnel to fight more draugr and a dragon priest, and then he goes to an exit where it says "To Skyrim" under the crosshair.I don't think they would have had the "To Skyrim" displayed if the dungeon was open.

I take it you've never played Daggerfall then. Yes, but Daggerfall wasn't really that popular, at least not nearly as popular as Morrowind and Oblivion, so there wasn't really enough people exposed to it to cause a stir. Also it was all low-res 2D and it was barely noticeable at most times. Can you imagine if Super Mario 64 had Mario and Peach completely nude?Parents everywhere would have died of heart attacks.

Found something interesting here http://gamerant.com/skyrim-dragons-player-levels-sieg-90966/ Talking about how dragons won't just start attacking right away and the tougher ones will appear "As the game progresses".Wonder what he means by that, is he referring to the level-scaling or your progression through the main quest? Edit: Full interview is here http://au.xbox360.ign.com/articles/117/1176500p1.html I must have missed the original google alert.

Quests that remind you that the world is a fantasy game and not just a medieval game with a few magic spells in it are always welcome.Through a Nightmare, Darkly. The painted world, that one daedric quest where you get the orb from the wizard and his tower is all twisted and distorted like an Oblivion Plane.Quests like these are always more fun than your standard "Go kill five bears" type of quests.

Corakus.Yes this is also the name I use for my main characters in almost every game I play.It was one that I invented along time ago, it's based off of my real name, Corey.I also use it as an online alias so if you ever see a Corakus in another game you can bet it's probably me, but not always. For the record, it's pronounced "Cor-rock-us/Corrockus" not "Cora-Kuss" which is always what people seem to assume is the proper pronunciation. In the TES games, I frequently use this name for my Breton Mages. For a Nord, I would probably use Yggdrasil or Ysmir. For orcs I would make something up on the spot that sounds like something somebody regurgitated like "Uggra-Krug" or something like that.Imperials almost always seem to get something like "Imperator" or even "Caesar".Dark Elves get "Drizz" and Wood Elves might get "Legolas" or sometimes even "Colm".Yes I know, I'm not very creative.

Then we would all be dying of our own nerdgasms.. If there was a zombie apocalypse...

No, because even if nudity was in the game, it wouldn't be a big feature for me.It wouldn't be something that makes the game for me, it would just be something that I don't really care about, I'm personally more focused on the level-scaling and the combat and the world design and whether all of these will be better than it was in Oblivion. If nudity is included in the game, it should be entirely optional for people like me who want to play the game in front of their siblings' kids or for others who don't want to see it period.Personally though, I think this conversation isn't going to go very far, if Bethesda is worried about the controversy of being able to set children on fire and plant axes in them then they certainly wouldn't want the controversy that comes with nudity in a game.

Bethesda forums and websites hacked: usernames, emails, and passwords
Corakus replied to Galahaut's topic in Site Updates
Even if by some impossible chance that these morons did cause Bethesda to release Skyrim early, what would be the point? All we would get is a horribly bugged, unfinished game.Don't these imbeciles realize that developing a game actually takes time and patience, or is that an alien concept to them? -
Pretty sure the hair is still static, though I do want physics on them as well.Would be much easier to play as my Legolas wannabe if his hair wasn't clipping straight through his bow and his back.
