  1. You must keep in mind that it is not Bethesda's fault for the long wait time. Valve is taking forever, as always, to get steamworks implemented and reviewed. So technically, blame Valve. But then again it was Bethesda who decided to integrate steamworks anyway, so blame both if you wish. I am just going to keep sitting here and waiting for a release. At least the 1.4 patch is now in beta, so get that and see how it goes.
  2. Well, aren't you the innovative one. Very interesting. Personally, I use the AfterGlow Xbox 360 Performance controller for most games that support controllers. It's nice to play with the comfort of a controller like I'm on a console, but have the graphics and mods of a PC. It's a win-win in my mind  Thanks for sharing.
  3. Or you can become the Thane of Markarth and get Vlindrel Hall that has good display rooms and storage, coupled with Dovahkiin hideout mod, will make a very good player home for you and whomever you marry. Right now I am living out of the house in Windhelm and using Dovahkiin hideout as a sort of basement/treasure room. I really love the mod. You should give it a try and see what you think about it.
  4. I admire the work and time that you are putting into the game to make it as immersive as possible. I have recently started doing the exact same thing. I have two main characters that travel the lands and are pretty much combat oriented. If there is any place that I have to go I will either travel there by horse/foot, or take a carriage ride there and back. I installed the Expensive Travel mod so that wagon rides now cost either 150 or 200 based on where I go. Now I am waiting on a good needs mod to come out to finish up most of my wants. The rest is pretty much weapon/armor mods, or quest mods from there on out. Also, like you, I have only one character that is the "Dovakiin" where as my Battlemage style character is just living in the time of the return of dragons and tries to survive as best as he can. I will never finish the main quest with him. Ever  Well that's pretty much the run-down on how I play. Cheers, -Elsarian
  5. Can't really help you there. Is it your data folder, or is it the Data Files section in skyrim's launcher? Because if it is the data folder in skyrims root directory (Where the executable is located) then that means that the folder is set to Hidden. Clarify the issue if you can.
  6. BUT, the Gaulder Blackblade also does not have a unique model either. Looks just like a standard Draugr long sword with a fun enchantment on it, and of course, a black color. I was referencing actual unique weapons, not half-assed if you don't mind me saying. Good recommendation though. Has a good enchantment as well. I just do not like how the model isn't unique at all. Even though Beth said that their would be more diverse unique weapons. I guess that didn't include models either. -Elsarian
  7. The most powerful weapons in the game are the daedric weapons. And no I am not talking about the artifacts from the princes either. They are very underpowered. The daedric weapons that you can craft are the most powerful. However, the coolest, and probably one of the more powerful weapons in the game is Dawnbreaker, which you can get from the Daedric Prince Meridia. You can find her shrine near Solitude. The other weapons really arent much to fuss over. Just wait till the CK is released and that will be fixed. -Elsarian
  8. I wish you luck my friend because it is literally like a ticking time bomb. Once you get your first random CTD out of nowhere with no explanation, then it will only get worse from there. Good luck. Hopefully Bethesda will hear our pleas and try to address this issue.
  9. Greetings, I do have your problem as well. Only for one of my characters though. I have clocked 217 hours with him and I CTD everywhere I go. Even randomly out in the world. The area outside Riften triggers it, the area right out side of Falkreath triggers it, right out side of Riverwood causes it and so on. If I enter Jorrvaskr and try to leave, I crash, if I try to enter the Dawnstar Sanctuary, I crash instantly. There is absolutely no fix until Bethesda tries to find what the problem is. It's terrible. I pretty much started a new game and none of these issues occur. So I had to abandon my old character. Not completely though, I will keep him until there is a fix for this.
  10. Wow, now that is some thing that has never really happened to me. What all have you tried to correct the issue, if anything at all? Have you at least tried reinstalling the game, or validating your files through steam?
  11. And just in case you are not familiar with the "MW' part, that stands for Modern Warfare 3. All together, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. There are so many that it is hard to keep up with, so I do not blame you at all haha. Also, games like that are games that should have the campaign completed first, and then straight to online mulitplayer. The Xbox Live part is the only thing that keeps CoD (Call of Duty) kicking. So, seeing that I can not have Xbox Live anymore, I tend to just rent them for consoles from gamefly.
  12. Very, very nice!! It was so good that I subscribed to you. And I do not do that very often. I would like to hear some more of your work.
  13. I like to use Malwarebytes only. I can stand it when something like AVG is constantly scanning every single thing that I do. Hogs resources as well. So, I just stick with good ol' malwarebytes that will run only when I tell it too. I haven't ever had a problem with it.
  14. Ah, thanks for the response. What is that kids name again? I have seen the execution many times, but was to distracted to really talk to him, or think that there was anything important that the kid had to say.
  15. You just reminded me of those amulets. What are they used for? I have never encountered someone in the game that wanted the PC to retrieve them or anything.
  16. 100% Agreed. I cannot wait until there is a mod that allows horse combat like Deadly Reflex did for Oblivion. I was actually kind of surprised that I could not go into first person riding in Skyrim. The first time I hopped on a horse, I tried to go from third-person to first-person, and was quite sad when I couldn't.
  17. Seriously?!! I had no idea about that.
  18. A lot of these things occurred in previous games as well, and they were never addressed. So, I bet that Bethesda won't be doing anything about it. Just wait for a mod to be released that will allow you to remove quest items from your inventory. That is what I had to do back in Oblivion. It's pretty much all you can do, really.
  19. XD Now that is not the kind of response I was expecting to see, but funny nonetheless.
  20. I have never encountered this issue, so I really do not know what to tell you. You can try to go into the console, click on ONE wrack, disable it, go out of the console, then re-enable it and see if that works. If it does then do the same to others. If that does not work then all I can say is that you will have to wait until the Creation Kit is released and you can completely replace them with some that do work. Hope that some of this helps you, my friend. -Elsarian
  21. I am under the impression that the new patch is actually, 1.3.10 instead of 1.4. The only thing that is "1.4" that I have for Skyrim is SKSE. That is all. The new patch is 1.3.10. Hopefully that may clear things up. Oh, and to address your performance problems. All I can recommend is that you turn anti-aliasing completely off and shadows down. That is all I can say really. The first 1.3 patch caused me to have microstuttering even though my FPS is normal. So, I dropped anti-aliasing and enable Adaptive Anti-aliasing on my card along with FXAA that is in the advanced settings in the launcher. Better performance with no microstutter and still have the same look as if I was using AA that is built into the game. Hope some of this may have helped you. -Elsarian
  22. Actually no. The gods started in almost the same way as the "Big Bang" theory. Here is my example. Akatosh appears in the void of formless Aurbis and imposes his regulation of existence upon the universe. Many et'ada recognizable to modern mortals begin to coagulate. Nirn is conceived A Padomaic being named Lorkhan envisions the creation of a new kind of divinity: a planet called Nirn. This realm will fulfill the urges of his sphere by serving as a construct that will allow him to achieve ultimate liberty- Nu-Mantia. Aedra and Daedra Lorkhan convinces the modern Aedra and other Anu-aligned spirits to give of themselves and aid in Creation. Magnus will serve as the new world's architect. A collection of prominent Padomaic spirits reject his proposals and decide to create worlds using only their own divinities. They are now known as Daedric Princes. After several millennia have passed, a particularly powerful Daedric Prince, Jyggalag, is cursed by his peers to become Sheogorath, the embodiment of his sphere's polar opposite. Creation The Mundus is formed, the hub of the wheel that is Aurbis, and most of its creators die or are crippled by their sacrifices. They exist as shadows of their former selves. The new land is a chaotic place where time follows no clear path and creation is constant, following a downward spiral that causes levels of existence to create lesser levels beneath themselves. This results in the dissolution of many spirits and the creation of mortals, whose memories from this time result in their creation myths. Discord Magnus and his followers, the Magna Ge, perceive the trap that is the Mundus and abandon their creation. They flee, ripping holes in the sky in their desperate departure to Aetherius. The sun and stars now allow magic. The Twelve Worlds of Creation flourish. Convention Akatosh sees the trap as well, but does not flee. Instead, he throws himself into Mundus. His capsule lands in what will become the Isle of Balfiera in High Rock and becomes known as Adamantine Tower, the world's oldest structure. His full presence causes all spirits and chaotic forms of creation to crystallize, and time becomes linear and ordered. This is the end of the Dawn Era. He calls a council of the gods and the Aedra elect to punish Lorkhan. As punishment Trinimac tears Lorkhan's heart from his breast. Auri-El fastens the heart to an arrow and fires into the sea where it lands as a fiery meteor to form the Red Mountain and Vvardenfell - the Star-Wounded East. Mortals The development of mortals now follows slow, comprehensible paths. The diverse people of Tamriel become the Mer (Elves): The Dwemer (Deep Ones), the Chimer (Changed Ones), the Bosmer (Green or Forest Ones), and the Altmer (Elder or High Ones). The fracturing of the Aldmer along cultural and racial lines is the Sundering of Aldmeris, and the continent no longer exists. The other Ehlnofey became the Hist, beasts, and the humans of Nirn, who will eventually split into racial groups, including the Nedes, Nords, and Tamriellic Aboriginals, as well as the Redguards of Yokuda. Pretty much, the gods are mere shadows. They aren't entirely as they used to be when they gave of themselves in the name of creation. Whereas the opposing Aedrea, now Daedric Princes, decided to not give of their own divinity for this one cause, but to create their own spheres that are unique to each Prince. So, there you have it. All references are from uesp, The Monomyth, and the Annotated Anuad. The Monomyth can be found here. The Annotated Anuad can be found here. I hope that that clears a few things up. -Elsarian
  23. This is currently the only mod that I know of that removes dragons. Check it out and tell me how it goes. However, I do not believe that it removes nmed dragons. Like Paarthurnax and many other questline dragons and so on, but give it a try.
