Man, I hope that you don't come across IRL as having such an attitude. If you searched the this forum at all, it happens because Nexus is trying to make it easier for themselves to keep users updated on ANY games that they might wish to install/play. I believe that the option to remove one might be a failsafe if one refuses to auto-update, but I see no remove option in the Extensions tab. If you will check, I believe that each extension is only a few kb in size, so there really shouldn't be any problem, even if you are a control freak like I am...

Vortex 1.13.7 Purging on it's own all the time
7531Leonidas replied to Nihmandra's topic in Vortex Support
Search this forum for 'Vortex purging' or something similar, you should get a LOT of responses to screen, and see if any applies to the game/system you are using. -
@QuixoticrtHello, if you need more information/help on a specific game, you can see if it has its own forum(s) by clicking on 'Game Communities' under the 'Browse' menu item at the top of the page, and then scrolling down/searching for the name of the game you are looking for. You have to join that game community to post there.

CBBE Body Slide Texture Issues For Skyrim SSE
7531Leonidas replied to Newtjamn's topic in Mod Troubleshooting
Take a look at this: The 'Preview' box will open the view on the right. It is one where I have set the sliders to my own liking, so you will not see that exact image, but you will see what your current body is supposed to look like, you can drag/rotate/zoom the image at your command. The 'Build' box will change the current body to match any alterations you have made to the sliders, but you must click on 'Save', or better yet, 'Save As' (and give it a name that reminds you that it is your altered preset. The 'Batch Build' is to match outfits/armor to the body shape sliders you installed with 'Build', and 'Build Morphs' will include the abilities to change outfit shapes with differences in weight, or other mods such as pregnancy mods. The file path just above Batch Build shows you where to find the files output from BodySlide, if you should wish to copy them to place in the body shapes for NPC mods, either solo mods, or even a pack of several mods. Exactly where to paste them differs, depending on the file structure of the mod. BTW, there can be UNP/BHUNP body styles in the Outfit/Body pulldown at the top of the interface, as well as outfit collections, and the 'Preset' field just underneath that lists the name for that particular preset or outfit name. -
CBBE Body Slide Texture Issues For Skyrim SSE
7531Leonidas replied to Newtjamn's topic in Mod Troubleshooting
From your reported issues, it seems that you likely have mismatched the body and body textures. Did you rebuild your default body as a CBBE variant in bodyslide, then check your other mods and d/l NPCs to make sure that you have the CBBE versions of them? If you want the physics the CBBE3BA (aka Body Amazing) is the one you probably want, but it needs CBPC or Faster SMP-HDT (or a combination of both). -
Bodyslide keep using Vanilla body preset
7531Leonidas replied to DovahK1's topic in Mod Troubleshooting
Only NPCs that are designed to use the default body will use what you saved through BodySlide, any others will use their own body templates included in their own individual mods. It is possible to alter their files to use the default body, search around for help 'change Skyrim female NPC body to default'. It will involve copying and pasting the files found in BodySlide for the default body. -
Should i install FNIS/Nemesis or just one of them?
7531Leonidas replied to DovahK1's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
I think that you should look at Pandora, it is much simpler to use and more feature complete than Nemesis, IMO. It even automatically sets up a dummy plugin to use FNIS animations (FNIS needs to be removed b4 using it, I think). Look it over. Don't have any idea on TK Dodge, someone else will have to help with that. -
Bodyslide keep using Vanilla body preset
7531Leonidas replied to DovahK1's topic in Mod Troubleshooting
As far as it goes, you should select the preset first, then click on 'Build', then perform the 'Batch Build' - Make sure that the saved files are being directed to the default body file path - the small checkbox at the far left. -
Skyrim SE - Mod Detectives Thread
7531Leonidas replied to DoctorKaizeld's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Pfuscher's Skyrim 202x downscale might be what you need, WRT rope, pillars and fences, but I think that it depends on SMIM - look for requirements on the first mod. I am still not happy w/trees, but I like Realistic High Altitude Treeline (it gets rid of trees above a certain altitude), hair is usually either Apachii Sky Hair or KS Hairdos, or a combination, as different mods could require one or the other. -
Impossible to change mod options after inital installation
7531Leonidas replied to Sekhmet33's topic in Vortex Support
Additionally, if you have any mods installed that are not compatible w/the version of SKSE that is installed for your game, you will have problems launching the game. Go to ( https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins ) to check to see if which mods are compatible with your specific version of SKSE and game version. It also lists a few replacements/substitutes for some older favorites. -
Bodyslide keep using Vanilla body preset
7531Leonidas replied to DovahK1's topic in Mod Troubleshooting
Did you make sure to save your changes in BodySlide? I did this quite often when I first started, and finally saved my settings under a new name that I couldn't mistake as any but mine... Some NPC mods have their own body set in the mod, others will use the 'default' body created by BodySlide, which should be the same as one on a female player character. -
You might want to ask over at the Skyrim SE forum, to get more eyes on your problem. Go to 'Game Communities' under the 'Browse' menu item at the top of the page, scroll down/search for Skyrim (it is usually close to the top), and join any of the specific forums you wish to post in. Good luck!

I have used MO in the past, and am currently using Vortex. Vortex is much more automated, which can be good, as it makes the learning curve only a little less steep. MO2 has a lot of proponents, a lot of tutorials (some very old), and it seems to be easier to comprehend in manually manipulating load orders, especially for those who used NMM or MO in Skyrim LE. Vortex does not have to be running to run a modded Skyrim, as long as you have set the mods up properly (there are help files in Vortex, some videos, and a lot of help available in the fourms), while MO2 does have to be running in the background for the mods to take effect in the game. There is a source for compatibility of SKSE-based mods on the Nexus: ( https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins ). There are plans underway to make all such help/wiki information stored on Github, I believe, but this will help you find out which mods have compatible versions or similar replacement mods. ENB is still the standard, I believe, but Community Shaders and the supporting mods are developing fast, and often tend to be less of a drag on the game - YMMV. The unofficial patches are necessary for Skyrim SE/AE (the latest version is 1.6.1170, and is the base Anniversary Edition, not to be confused with the paid DLC Anniversary Edition Upgrade). Engine Fixes SE, Scrambled Bugs, Actor Limit Fix, Bug Fixes SSE, Equip Enchantment Fix, NPC AI Process Position Fix NG, powerofthree's Tweaks (and a lot of other stuff by that author), should all be considered for inclusion in your LO. Mator Smash and Wrye Bash are still around, but Smash has problems with the ESPFE formatted mods that don't count against the base LO limit of 254 esp files, it can't handle more than 255 at one time, while WB can. Will end the WOT for now, good luck! I am sure that others will be by to put in their $ 0.02. Sorry, forgot about animations - Open Animation Replacer (OAR), and Pandora are what I use right now, Pandora is the more modern version of FNIS, and more complete/much easier to use, IMO, than Nemesis. If you are wanting SMP, then Faster SMP/HDT is what you want to be running. The most bodies are for CBBE/CBBE3BA for physics, BHUNP might be more familiar for you.

@faentaallmodsThis is a general forum on mod troubleshooting, so you were more than justified posting here. You will get more people that are very familiar with Skyrim and its mods on the Skyrim SE forum, so you might get better quality responses, or suggestions on mod sources, or maybe even someone will have already dealt with this very situation themselves.

Those look pretty normal to me, I think that Bethesda tried to mimic the Roman roads to some extent, you could try asking this on the Skyrim SE forum. Click on 'Game Communities' under the 'Browse' menu item at the top of the page, then scroll down/search for your desired game. Skyrim is usually close to the top. You can browse any of the forums, but you must join each forum you wish to post in.

How to add bash tags to a mod w/o Wrye Bash?
7531Leonidas replied to 7531Leonidas's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Thanks, IsharaMeradin. I am a bit confused, b/c upon further inspection, now that I know where to look, at least two of my eight have bash tags, but are not included as masters in my bashed patch. I guess that my question should rather be "How do I change/add which mods are used as masters by WB in the forging of a bashed patch?" I had come to believe that bash tags were needed to do so, but those two have confused me a bit. Maybe they are missing a tag for the info I want/need to be included? -
This is especially true with some landscape/graphics mods, or mods that install 'loose' files to make sure that they overwrite all other matching files.

Black light behind hand when casting fire spell.
7531Leonidas replied to moss129's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Probably some kind of shadow from the flames in the casting hand, look at any fire mods, weather mods, lighting mods (incl. ENB). -
I am currently running a mod list of over 2000 mods (a lot of graphics mods are in there), and the latest version of WB started bashing things it had not on the previous version I had. I currently have eight mods that need to have records placed in the bashed patch (I make all such adjustments in SSEEdit) that are not picked up as masters for the bashed patch. When I add the records, SSEEdit requires me to add each one as a master to the bpatch. I run WB as a tool in Vortex. 1. Am I right that I will need to add bash tags to the eight mods to be able to manipulate/add their records to the bashed patch? 2. How do I use SSEEdit to add bash tags to the eight laggards? (I have the list of tags for Skyrim from the adv. bash readme.) I got very upset when I found out that editing the bashed patch w/these eight in xEdit caused the patch to no longer recognize almost all of my edits, due to the reordering of masters. That's about 1-1/2 hours plus of work. A real catch-22. Thanks, all!

If you are running the latest version of Skyrim SE on your machine, you could try to 'verify game files'. In the Steam library interface, right-click on the game and you should see the option. Don't know how it is done when sourced from elsewhere. Also, their textures might be 'baked' into the game save somehow. You could try to target each of them, one at a time, in the game console "~", then type 'disable', then 'recycleactor', then 'enable'.

Welcome! FYI - you can use the 'Game Communities' item under 'Browse' at the top of the page to access game-specific forums. Scroll down/search for your desired game(s) there, and join each forum you wish to post in.

I know for sure that your external drive needs to be in NTFS format. There were a few posts on running Vortex from a removable drive on the Vortex Support forum, might want to search there. Might be useful if it gets disconnected, or power goes out while playing.

Special or Anniversary Edition for best mod support ?(GOG)
7531Leonidas replied to KongoOtto759's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
From what I have seen, most of the mods that require the paid AE update CC stuff are mods that are patching information WRT those mods.
