SSE Cast spell on Attack?!
7531Leonidas replied to RaisingThersites's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
There is at least one mod that modifies Dawnbreaker and its effect on undead, causing a (larger) explosion? Maybe you could check that one for casting a spell like you want. -
Sorry, Akymo, I misread your intention with respect to Vortex. Start Vortex, and click on the 'Knowledge Base', then click on the 'Removing Vortex' entry. That holds the instructions for removing Vortex completely.
-
AFAIK (as far as I know), both Vortex and MO2 install mods in a system that uses virtual links, where the files are actually held in the mod manager, and the links tell Skyrim what to load. If you are using the 'Mods' feature on the Skyrim menu, you are defeating yourself. It won't show anything you installed through a mod manager, because the manager is bypassing it... I think that you should go to the Vortex discussion and help (found in the parent Nexus Mods site and forums), look through the stuff there. You might not be 'deploying' the mods after you install them. You remove mods from the 'Mods' interface found on the left side of the Vortex display. Right-click on the file name of the mod, and you will get several options, one of which is remove. You can also find remove under the 'Actions' column, which is on the far right of the 'Mods' interface.

SSE Request - Additional Hearthfire Bedroom

SSE Request - Additional Hearthfire Bedroom
7531Leonidas replied to conundrum's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I think that you also need the matching chests, at least for the child beds. Also, there is Jaxon's Positioner - I do not use this (yet), but the comments say to use the -no skse version. Read everything carefully, and see if this might help you. -
Do you have any landscape/texture mods in effect? One or more files may be corrupted, maybe even main game files. Perhaps you should verify your files in Steam, but only if you have the latest version (1.6+), and not the older, pre-AE 1.597.

For just grinding it out, AFAIK, there are a few enchantments that result in faster advancement, like enhancing Carry Weight (more) and Sneak (VERY much more). I think that there were one or two more (maybe Muffle), but I don't remember them specifically. The only weapon enhancements, I think, are Paralyze, Turn Undead, and Banish Daedra. I am referring to a similar magnitude of Alteration advancement for using Telekinesis...

Algabar, thanks for the clarification. I was just trying to talk the OP through a process where they would not have to worry about breaking anything.

AFAIK, enabling/disabling textures does not cause any problems, aside from getting the infamous purple shade on untextured items/surfaces. Just disable a texture package nearest the bottom of your LO, then load the game. If nothing has changed, quit the game, go back to your mod mgr, re-enable that texture mod, disable the next one up the ladder, rinse and repeat. As long as you do not save while checking, nothing will change permanently. Once you find the culprit, you might (should) be able to disable just the texture(s) by moving them into a folder called 'bad tx' somewhere in the mod folder. If it is Vortex, then you could reset your conflicts to overwrite the specific files, i.e. the one or several in the mod that is causing problems... If the mod author fixes the problem, then just install the mod, overwriting the old.
-
You take it back to so it can be read.

I think that you are trying too hard. Look at my answer again, above and before are the exact same thing... This also means that below and after are also twins, just the opposite pair. Above/before - gets overwritten, below/after - overwrites. So, the mod that you want (or the mod page suggests) to overwrite will be placed BELOW the other in the LO, so that it will load AFTER that mod and overwrite it. You can get Vortex to manually move mods, but it is not intuitive (to me, at least). You need to have the Dependencies column active in your mods window, then you click-hold on the little "tree" symbol, and drag it to the mod you want to load before or after. Once you have dragged it, you should get a dialog that will allow you to select which one loads before the other. The same process applies to the plugin page, you can use the dependencies to force a specific load order. The problem with this method lies in dragging across a large LO, or mod list, I don't know if there is a shorter way to do it. You can access the Vortex discussion/question threads by going to the basic Nexus Mods home page, and clicking on the forums access there. There are voices there that are much more versed in responding to Vortex questions and problems.

SSE Rain and Snow through the cover / roof
7531Leonidas replied to akunito's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
There is some sort of precipitation occlusion setting that can be enabled in the basic settings or on your SkyrimPrefs.ini in your Documents folder. Mine has the value: bUsePrecipitationOcclusion=1 Check to make sure that yours is enabled. Other than that, I don't know. There is a mod for Rustic Weathers and Lighting to force this occlusion (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/42446) -
above (smaller/lesser/earlier LO number) - will load before those mods placed below, get overwritten if conflicts exist before (smaller/lesser/earlier LO number) - will load before those mods placed below, get overwritten if conflicts exist

Anna's NPCs (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1163) and Vilja (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6722 ) are the first two that come to my mind. Ones that I haven't yet tried are Remiel (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/51874 ) , Evangeline (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8201) , Nebarra (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/42343 ) , and Thogra (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/58979 ) . There's also the older Auri follower, Aurlyn Dawnstone, Mirai - the Girl With the Dragon Heart, and M'rissi's Tails of Troubles. There are a lot more, you could try searching for voiced followers in the 'Followers and Companions' category. Maybe someone else has a better insight on how to find the ones with unique dialog. Just so you know, there is a 'Follow This Topic' button in the upper right corner, it will get you notifications of replies to the specific thread. -
Just a thought, go to the Engine Fixes page, and check to see if there are any incompatibilities in individual fixes with the 1.6.353 files. I have a vague recollection that one or two of the fixes might have a problem with AE (maybe with the paid CC stuff), but not sure. I will go back and check when I set up a new LO with AE. As an aside, almost certainly not applicable here, cleaning the game masters (.esm) can cause their own problems, especially with the Dragonborn final confrontation. I reverted quite some months ago, and have actually had fewer in-game ctds and hangs.

Shortest answer: If your version of SE is not 1.6+ (pre-AE, mine is 1.597), your LO will change, and any SKSE dependent mods will probably break - you should start a new game. If you are just moving from the base SE v. 1.6+ to the added CC package, your LO will change, and a few patches may be necessary to make your current mods play nice w/the CC (you should start a new game). SKSE dependent mods can be checked for compatibility on SKSE Plugin Status (https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins) . Some of the SKSE mods will not be updated, but a few have replacements. BTW, there is a "Follow This Topic" button in the top right corner that will start notifications of any replies to the marked topic, just in case you missed it.

SSE Betray all daedric princes and cleanse their influence
7531Leonidas replied to cyan89's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Did you see the mod Renounce the Daedra (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/36100) ? It may do a lot of what you want. I d/l'd it some time ago, but haven't started a new LO yet. -
This is an oldie, but take a look at it: Practical Female Armors (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2628 ) There are also bodyslides for it: (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/29106 ) Practical Female Blades Armor (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/34177 ) with CBBE bodyslides (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/58565 ) Dragonbone Ebonsteel Armor (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2290 ) works with this, too. Also, Daedric Reaper armor with a covered option add-on: (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4372 ) and https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/52144 (I can't get this to show as a link, just copy and paste into the address bar of your browser, it will work.) Eisen Platte Armor (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19968 ) - it has chest prints, but might work for you. Also, Peacekeeper Armour (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23661 ) Sleek Wolf Armor - both replacer and standalone versions (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/44812 ) and Snow White Armor (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/41635 ) Steel Falcon Armor, a bit more fantasy-styled (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/52004 ) it has a heavy armor patch (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/52137 ) I hope some of these help! I missed one - Sovereign's Slayer (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/28172)

I am pretty sure you will not have a problem, I have a 3800x, RTX 2080 liquid cooled (by manufacturer), BUT I have 64 GB of 3600 mem. I run my game at 2560x1600, and went crazy on visuals via DYNDOLOD (I will pare back in my next LO), in a LO w/over 600 plugins, with only occasional stutter or jitter, but limit my game in the driver to 58-59 fps (max for my monitor). My only suggestion would be to get 32 GB of memory, if possible, since I have seen memory caching of 18+ GB with these settings through Skyrim Performance Monitor. So, if you want a lot of graphics detail, make room for the game to cache it.

I use this one - Attack Speed Framework (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10741) Hope it works for you, too!

Check compatibility of SKSE mods here: (https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins) It hasn't been updated recently, so maybe the list is stable now...
