  1. I think that you should also be in an interior cell before the install/set up, so things have a chance to reset.
  2. If you have More Informative Console ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19250 ) active, you could click on the texture(s) when the console is open, and it will show the mod to you...
  3. Does anyone know of a mod/mods that work together to change the sun's traversal across the sky to a southerly arc, and have corresponding shadows/visual effects? I currently have Majestic Mountains installed, but the shadows do not play as well with the southerly sun option, and I don't see the sun at all in the sky. Stealthx - you should probably post your question on the Mod Troubleshooting page...
  4. The version should show when you start the game. Alternately, go to the game executable in ...\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition. Right-click on SkyrimSE.exe, select properties. Then, choose the Details tab, and you will see the file version AND the product version on the details tab. That is your game version. There is a site that shows which mods work with the various SE versions: https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins
  5. IDK how easy it would be to check, but I think that you might have a problem with a mod or two (adding NPCs) having headparts/other parts that should be marked unplayable. Usually causes CTD with racemenu, but other weird things can happen.
  6. Did you check out Sleep Tight ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/31620 )? I have d/l it, but not installed it yet. I don't know if it will do what you want.
  7. You should probably ask this on the engine fixes page ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230 ), state your Skyrim SE version, and some indication of what your cpu/gpu/RAM specs are, so experienced users can be more helpful.
  8. dividedbythe9s had some NPCs that had some prosthetics (mods are hidden now), but I don't think that I have seen prosthetics for the player character. That would probably cause real problems with first-person view.
  9. With NFF, I usually try to make my followers wait in a previous cell, and tell them to follow (and teleport) if I get in over my head... I use a string of hotkeys for the combat-related functions that makes it easier. This doesn't help much if in open terrain, however.
  10. skee64 is part of racemenu. Have you checked to see if your version of racemenu is the up-to-date one, or the correct one for both your SE and SKSE? You can use https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins to check for the SKSE64 versions and SKSE plugins for compatibility with the different SE builds.
  11. This modding.wiki site has a listing of which SKSE versions match particular Skyrim SE versions, along with mod/update compatibility: https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins
  12. Need some info, please... Have assembled a v. large LO on Skyrim SE 1.6.353, have started two different characters while ironing out my LO. Neither character can take advantage of the Impact perk in Destruction. I have searched through my LO to find the mod that disables it, but cannot find it. Any anecdotal comments on mods known to disable this perk, just in case I overlooked something in the descriptions? I would post LO if I thought it would help, but have almost 1000 plugins. Thanks!
  13. Well, you MUST know which version of Skyrim SE you currently have installed. Then, go to https://skse.silverlock.org and look for the one that matches your version of SE. There is a modding.wiki page that can also help you figure it out ( https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins ). The information is right there.
  14. Do you have a replacement .dll installed? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/24297
  15. List of latest SKSE mod updates for the Skyrim SE versions 1.5.97-1.6.640 (it seems that it is not updating rapidly - use as a starting point): https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins
  16. I think that the clothes and armors need to be 'built' in BodySlide once you have the body installed, make sure to select the options for physics or 3ba for each outfit with an option.
  17. You need the newest Address Library for SKSE Plugins ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32444 ).
  18. Oh, no - YOU are the heartless one (j/k), not running with Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3862 ) get up to SIX kids, and Improved Adoptions ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4713 ), not to mention the various orphanage mods, like Honorhall Orphanage Bugfixes and Expansion ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/66955 ), Kinghall Orphanage ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/64908 ), and Stonehall Orphanage ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/29747 ). Why, I even recall that there are a couple of mods that add an academy/school in various locations in Skyrim. By the way, I LOVE this idea...
  19. Try this - go inside the inn, activate the console, click on several things/objects, note the first 4 digits of the refID that show up on each. Any not beginning with 00xx - 04xx, use to compare to your load order index. Any matches should point you to the source mod. Alternatively, if you have/add More Informative Console ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19250 - be careful, may need an skse/skse library update for your game), it can show you which mod was last to change the object/model you clicked on.
  20. First way - in Steam, go to the Library tab, right-click on Skyrim Special Edition, select 'Properties', then 'Updates' - you should see a list that includes 'Only update this game when I launch it' More secure way - look at the pinned post at the top of the forum segment your post is in - ( https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/11022483-how-to-permanently-block-ae-from-ever-deploying-onto-ones-system/ ). Read it through, follow the directions.
  21. If the C: drive is the only drive, you can't install in any other folder. No options available to move the install.
  22. If you know how to open the console in the game, do so when one of them is in the way, click on them, and you will get the refID for them. Write it down, as the first two digits correspond to the Load Order mod index in your game: 01-Skyrim, 02 - Dawnguard, etc. If you use Vortex, simply go to the Plugins tab, and scroll down the Mod Index list until you find a match. That is the mod that is adding them. Alternatively, you could install I'm Walkin Here ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/27742 ), which turns off collisions between the PC and your followers. This is probably the better way, since it would not involve uninstalling a mod during a game, which can cause bad problems, including corrupted saves.
  23. According to ppl, the only mods you will have to be extra careful with are those depending on SKSE/SKSE64. There is a mod page for monitoring updates to those mods for the various versions of Skyrim SE ( https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins ). With that said, unfortunately, a LOT of the quality-of-life mods are dependent upon SKSE ( http://skse.silverlock.org/ ) and the companion Address Library ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32444 ). You should check out the mods you see that you are interested in, and research the comments/bugs on each. There is a downgrade patcher that will allow you to roll back your Skyrim SE to an earlier version for compatibility's sake. I haven't used it, so no link from me.
  24. I don't think that you can, if you don't see the body to use the console command resurrect 1 on it. Even then, a little too late, and the scripted after death comments kick in.
  25. Try this to show the mod status for the various Skyrim SE versions: https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins
