Have you searched on Gamepass (or support) for any info? I only have one last idea... Have you checked to make sure that the parent folder(s) are NOT marked read-only? Check by right clicking on the folder, and select Properties. Good Luck!

Check this thread on Quora: (https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-mod-Skyrim-using-Xbox-GamePass?share=1) also - (https://steamcommunity.com/app/489830/discussions/0/3108019435239380046/) Maybe this info will help.

Skyrim, or Skyrim SE? Is it (or steam) installed in c: program files (x86) - if so, there can be problems. Try to install it in its own folder, not in (x86). I make my install in/on a different HDD. HD formatted in FAT16, or FAT32? It sounds like you are installing the mod manually. Various mod managers make things easier, once you have 'read up on one? Consider using a mod manager.

Have you checked your graphics card for dust build-up? You could also make sure that the card hasn't loosened in the slot over time, just loosen the mount screw, and re-seat the card (make sure that your system is powered down, and the power supply turned off/unplugged). The larger and heavier the card, the more likely that this could be a problem. It is also possible that some files have become corrupted over time. Have you tried verifying the game files in Steam? There is a mod - More Informative Console - that will let you see which mod was the last to modify a particular item in game. Just get the suspect area in your view, engage the console, and click on the area.

SSE Unable to Save Game in Custom Player Home
7531Leonidas replied to Adventurer1111's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
I am glad that my information was useful to you, Adv_1111 ;) NexBeth, are you saying that you cannot get your house mod to save, or that you cannot save a game when in your house? It was unclear to me from your message. I think that we have exceeded my knowledge and my luck on this topic, but hopefully someone who is a mod author can help. -
Is there a mod or a fix anywhere for glossy dirt/roads?
7531Leonidas replied to SkoomaMayhem's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Have you tried Blended Roads (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8834)? There is also a retexture, Blended Roads Redone (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/26270). See if these might help. -
SSE Unable to Save Game in Custom Player Home
7531Leonidas replied to Adventurer1111's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
Do you have a space in the name of your plugin? This will cause a problem with saving your game. -
You could try PapyrusUtil SE - Modders Scripting Utility Functions (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/13048). It posts a crash log that shows what files were attempting to run at the crash. It may be helpful, much more so than the papyrus log.

FYI - I had a bad bug in DB, the Ch. 6 room just before the word wall/dragon ride would not load. After checking elsewhere, it turns out that this bug occurs w/cleaned master files. I verified my files through Steam, got them re-downloaded, and loaded the save just before using the Ch. 6 book to get to the room. Everything was ok at this point. The thread I saw said to run autoclean in SSEEdit w/a "-DontCache" argument to avoid this problem. I have never seen this argument discussed before. Anyone else have a better perspective on this? I made it through DB, and am loathe to try the autoclean process again w/o some verification. Update (as of 8 August) - still using the original, verified files w/no problems. If anything, my game seems more stable with these 'dirty' masters.

That is my understanding. I took a quick look at the 'details' view in my vortex/downloads folder, and the 'modified' date seemed to be the original d/l date, as I tried to look at a couple of files that I know I made changes for w/SSEEdit. Maybe go to the Vortex forum, and make sure that I am passing on a correct understanding of this? It would seem to make backing up your mods (not your LO) easier if you could just copy the d/l folder...
-
The reason I suggested the vortex download folder is b/c I think that it holds the unaltered, original files (already zipped). If you have made any changes to an installed mod, like from SSEEdit, then those edited versions (and any patches) should reside in the Mod Staging Folder. If you have made changes, and try to install on a new game, those edits may cause problems...

How about Civil War Neutrality (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/21176)? I have been using it for at least two playthroughs, and have not come across any ill effects or bugs.
-
Do you have any of the mods that change the interface refresh rate to 60 fps? I found three simply by putting '60' in the SSE search. I believe that one of the other 'Fixes' mods included the 60 fps adjustment, but I don't remember which one.
-
You could try to copy everything in your Vortex downloads folder to another, archive folder. This should archive the unedited, original versions, AFAIK.

FNIS warnings with mod I don't know
7531Leonidas replied to MattHatters's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
I'll take a stab at this, but it is just a guess. The warnings pop up after "InteractiveGallow", so I would check the mods for which one adds this, and make sure that I have all of the prerequisites for it. Search for KomAnimSBT, and see what mod it is a part of. There was at least one thread on LL from 2020 that had some info. -
Left hand rings not working with COR female body.
7531Leonidas replied to ModdersResources's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
I don't use COTR, so I don't know if it is its own special race, but here goes: 1. Run SSEEdit 2. Load all the files that it shows. 3. In the left-hand pane, right-click on any plugin and select "Apply Filter to Show Conflicts" 4. Wait for SSEEdit to do its thing... May take quite some time, depending on LO size and your computer. (I have my stuff on SSD, so it only takes about 2-3 mins for several hundred plugins. Used to take 10-12 mins when on standard HDD, and much fewer plugins.) 5. Use the filter under the plugin list - use 'left' - this will help you find the plugins you need to check conflicts. You may have to 'drag and drop' the info about slots 50 and 51 into other plugins, or make your own patches (this is safer). Look up info for how to patch using SSEEdit. 6. Once you have completed your moves, close out SSEEdit and confirm which plugins you want to keep the changes for (this way, if you made some unintentional edits/changes to another plugin, you do not have to close out and start the process all over again). One more time, if your PC is not of a race that is listed in Left Hand Rings, it will not work - vanilla races only. I am sorry this is not more detailed, but I only did this for the first time back in October of last year, and have not done it since. There are some tutorials/guides you can search for. -
Left hand rings not working with COR female body.
7531Leonidas replied to ModdersResources's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Are you able to use SSEEdit? If you are, I THINK that you have to enable slot 50 - decapitate head and slot 51 - decapitate to enable seeing the LH rings. The necessary records are located in BOD2 - Biped Body Template/First Person Flags(sorted). I had to edit/patch several of the mods I installed to enable the 1st person view, and according to LH Rings, custom races cannot display them... I hope that this helps. -

Crashing after looting/questing no mods on
7531Leonidas replied to MaddyKeeper's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
SSE, or LE? Have you verified your game files on Steam? (And a legitimate install?) I assume that you are talking about Bleak Falls Barrow, you can search for Bleak Falls Barrow bugs in your engine of choice. Also search at (https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Main_Page) for the quest bugs. You may have a corrupted save, it happens. Have you tried going back to an earlier save, like before getting the quest from Farengar? One mod may help, the Unofficial Patch (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266). If you want to keep getting the achievements, add in Achievement Mods Enabler (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/245). -

Maybe go to the OSex or ORomance pages and ask there? I don't use any of the OSex stuff. Just Flower Girls. -
From https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-10-home-and-pro : Microsoft will continue to support at least one Windows 10 Semi-Annual Channel until October 14, 2025. Does this answer the question?

Do you have clothing mods installed? You may have to double-check them. If you use Bodyslide, you may have to re-do the batch build process for it.
-
Did you reinstall the game files on Steam, and forget to clean them with SSEEdit? Which mod manager do you use? I have found that Vortex sometimes will not put things back in the same exact LO when reinstalling/updating a mod. A changed LO with a bunch of mods can/will mess stuff up.

Can't sleep in Silver-Blood Inn in Markarth
7531Leonidas replied to Katarsi's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
In my playthroughs, there are three wenches in most inns. Two are in the tavern clothing, and one is in more standard fare. That one is the one I call the 'head wench' try to rent the room from her. Frabbi does not rent out the room in the Silver-Blood Inn, as far as I can remember. This 'bug' is a bit hit and miss, if I remember. The next time you go in, you may well be able to rent from the innkeeper.
