I am not going to bring moral relativity into this. These "certain groups" you've mentioned have shared their imagination and expertise with the community for absolutely nothing in return. You don't get to brush off their generosity and make demands. This website is sustained because of these people. It's why people come here in the first place. Edit: If I'm preaching anything, it's that people need to remember to be grateful.

Modders provide content for free. Free. Bethesda charged you sixty bucks, and their games and dlc have more bugs than most mods. Go ahead and make threads that demand bethesda to properly patch their games, but you mind your tone when you make demands of modders. Better yet, don't make any demands what so ever. I've read this thread entirely. I've seen how you've back pedalded. I still don't care for the message of this thread.

Terrific new armors, very nordic!

Wish I could be more optomistic, but I totally agree with you. If anything, Bethesda has been on a pattern of making each game more shallow than the last.

Hate to rain on the parade, as I'm really excited about Battlefront as well,....but Battefront is being developed by the medal of honor warfighter crew....so careful with your anticipation.

All I have to say about Microsoft and their pitiful box...is this simple truth. Never go full retard.
-
It was a piece of comedy really. I still cannot fathom how anyone thought the Xbox's new DRM crazy business model was going to work. The execs at Sony must have been falling out of their chairs laughing when they heard the news. Lots of champagn was enjoyed I'm sure. The console war ended before it even began. It was a total rout. The playstation 4 is ONE HUNDRED dollars cheaper and has NONE of Microsofts new draconian DRM measures. Those two selling points will catapult the new playstation light years ahead of the xbox. I'm not sure Microsoft can even recover from this. The hole they've dug themselves in is just too deep. Perhaps this means Nintendo will become a serious competitor again when the next generation comes along.

It's only your first post so you're probably new but mod requests really should be made here instead. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/422-skyrim-mod-requests/

I LOVE these kind of mods. Makes me actually want to savor the evening instead of just speeding up the time. Thanks for showing it to us!

I really enjoyed the behind the scenes video which narrated the development. Thanks for sharing it with the community! Edit: You have great taste in music btw. -
Time to ditch vanilla - Looking for some recommendations
Kraeten replied to xHuda's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
If you want a small fortified player abode, I heartily recommend my own Grayhill Keep. It's very lore friendly. When you first discover it in-game it appears derelict. After purchasing the deed however the Keep is restored to full working order. It also features a bard npc and guard followers. If you want a manor, I'd recommend downloading the legend of eagle's nest. Or Cascades. Both were made by Flahoshi, who is pretty much a GOD where interior design is concerned. I really look up to him. For armor I recommend downloading just about everything from FranklinZunge. He's made a lot of ridiculous conan the barbarian style armors look much more believable. I also recommend Witcher 2 Style Dawnguard and Standard Heavy Plate by LordBaraban. Pretty much the best knight style armor in the game IMHO. Then there's the Skyforge shields, Dragonbone Ebonsteel and Skyforge weapons by the very talented Dreogan. Must haves, those three. Aesir and Einerjar are also brilliant nordic armors that are definitely worth checking out. Trollsbane armor is also terrific. I could go on for a little while longer about armor mods. There's a pretty darn good selection by now. For quest mods, definitely try out Moonpath to Elsweyr. It provides a stunning journey! -
quick question about a horse following me sometimes . . .
Kraeten replied to ruvuk's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
This has happened to me too actually. There's this hunter camp out by winterhold, and there's a dead horker up on a table to be carved up. Anyways there's a horse waiting at the camp, presumably for its hunter owner. The hunters are dead though, as they somehow let themselves get killed by the slow sorry Horkers. Anywho, I figured since they wouldn't be needing the horse I rode it to the College. Horse followed from then on pretty much. I liked to think it was grateful, but I'm sure it's just some bug. It's fixed though when you DO buy a horse. -
Then you would need to download Blender, which is a free 3d modelling software, and then learn how to use it to fill in the gaps. A lot of work for such a detail. Maybe try another body mod? Sorry I couldn't help more. Best of luck! Edit: When you load the mesh into nifscope and you see the gaps, you're seeing them with or without a texture right?
-
What do you mean by gaps? Can you literally see through one side of the nif and out the other? Generally speaking, a texture only applies color to an object. A texture can't fill in space the mesh/nif doesn't occupy.

I can pitch in if you like. Just check the mods in my signature for examples of my work. Here's a few screenshots of a wintery Cabin I put together the other day too. Great work on Beyond Boulder Dome by the way, it was terrific!

TES5Edit - says nothing is wrong - yet still CTD.
Kraeten replied to ramakgaming's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Sounds like you should go back to the previous version, and maybe send the enhanced blood mod author a polite PM about it. Include your Load Order too if you can. -
Alright, this should be a pretty simple discussion. I'm going to ask a question, and you'll answer by using the poll. Any other posts or comments are of course welcome. What I must ask however, is that you do NOT flame the mod author of the mod being discussed. That's not how we should go about this as a community nor as mature adults/young adults. Okay, now onto the question. Do you honestly and seriously believe a nude body-replacer should be able to use the lore-friendly tag? Specifically the one linked in parenthesis below? (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36992//?) Now you may be wondering why this is a question that really needs to be asked. It needs to be asked, because this mod could be setting an uncomfortable precedent. It's tagged as lore friendly. Armor mods WILL be released for this body-replacer. What does this mean? It means the Lore-Friendly tag may be rendered completely useless in the near future. If you like the idea of search tags being effective, I trust you'll vote no on the top poll question. Thank you for your time.

Cannot manually download mod files from Nexus
Kraeten replied to hmgirlpopuri's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Same here. No file exists. -
There aren't. Mods like Darkwater Sanctuary and Caranthir Tower allow you to purchase upgrades like vanilla homes though. If you just want the feeling of a player home being restored, my Grayhill Keep abode might interest you.

Oblivion is better. It had a better main quest, better faction quests, and better side quests in general. The world of Cyrodiil was better realized too. The cities actually felt like cities, and the environment offered quite a bit of variety. Skyrim on the other hand is prettier to look at, but the UI is horrible and the quests were very much stinted. However...I am very fond of the whole nordic/viking theme which is why I'm still interested in the game. Plus Skyrim has controller support which means a lot to me. After using a mouse and keyboard in the CK....I really don't want to be using one in-game. So in conclusion Oblivion is better but right now I'm more interested in Skyrim.

For reference images and other resources, check out cgtextures.com. Most of the big name game developers use that website too. For an actual course on texturing a weapon, check out this tesalliance link. Good luck!

You make it sound as if the Dominion wouldn't be thoroughly winded after marching its army through Cyrodiil. The Dominion caught the Empire with its trousers down the first time, it won't have such an easy go of it the next time around. The only other alternative invasion route is by sea, either through sailing a navy around Hammerfell and High Rock....a dicey prospect...or to sail a navy all the way around Morrowind...which is just as dubious if not more so. What does that mean for Skyrim? Basically, the Aldmeri Dominion won't stage an invasion until after Cyrodiil has been conquered. And it could very well be years until that happens.
-
I wouldn't really call it an upset in Ulfric's case. We're talking about a land surrounded by massive snow capped mountains. Invading Skyrim would be like trying to invade Russia. It's an extremely daunting task. Cyrodiil is much easier prey in comparison. As for Ulfric invading and conquering the summerset isle....that I agree would be an upset. Then again Nords have a history of kicking elf posteriors. :P

My question is pretty much the topic title. How do we go about editing the songs a bard npc may or may not sing? I can't be the first one to wonder about this and yet google turns up nothing. Maybe I'm not choosing the right words. Anywho, I'd be very grateful if someone could provide a explanation. For some more information, all I'm really trying to do is get a Bard to sing "the age of oppression" instead of the "aggression" alternative.
