  1. https://fose.silverlock.org/ There's presently no fix. The most current version of FOSE will not work with the recently updated Fallout 3. Any idea if they're going to be working on it? If you saved the original fallout3.exe, just replace the updated version with the old version. I have read that that will work. If you just blindly updated the game without saving the .exe, you'll just have to wait until a new version of FOSE is available.
  2. To answer your question, yes. On the mod pages, in the upper right, there is "Search". It works fairly well and will direct you to what you seek. Yes, I could provide links, but then you would never learn how to use search.
  3. If you updated Fallout 3 to the latest version available from Steam, neither Vortex nor FOSE will detect the .exe file. Bethesda released to Steam a new .exe with the DRM removed. This has broken every mod or tool that relies on the old .exe file to function. Your only recourse is to have a backup of the original Fallout3.exe and replace the updated on.
  4. Before asking for someone other than the mod author to change a mod, you should read the "Permissions" section on the mod main page. If the mod author allows modification to the files, then someone else can make the changes. In the two instances you provide, the mod authors do not allow any changes to be made without their permission.
  5. NifSkope 2.0 Dev 7, GOOGLE it. You cannot use any other version of Blender than 2.49 for Bethesda games published before Skyrim.
  6. The folder location would be Fallout 3\Data. I suggest you read you question again. I answered what you asked. If you want further information, you would have to unpack the .bsa.
  7. Go on Steam and verify game files. Any game files (not mods) that are missing will be replaced.

  9. As for having more mods than the game can handle, if you read it on the internet, it must be true.
  10. Usually caused by trying to run more mods than the game can handle.
  11. I set iNumThreads to 6 (no. of cores i have) under [HAVOK] in skyrim.ini and boy did it do wonders for my input lag introduced by vsync. I know this setting has historically been controversial in the sense that it did not seem to do anything but i have tested it by repeatedly changing the setting and restarting the game and the difference is quite obvious. As for stuttering, thanks to correctly setup enblocal.ini and vsync on i already had very little stuttering to begin with so i can't really tell if it had any impact on that but FPS unfortunately it did not help with, from what i could tell it had neither negative nor positive impact on fps. Just thought i'd put this here since despite there being a gazillion optimization guide for this game i don't think i have ever seen anyone mentioning this with regards to input lag. This is on oldrim btw. That is some very interesting information. However, the discussion is about Fallout3, which was created and released before 6 core computers were developed. Fallout: New Vegas does not have the core limitation, nor does it have the limitation of the type of graphics it can use. For Skyrim, you are talking about a 64 bit game and it capabilities are so far advanced that there is no comparison with FO3.
  12. Use only one RR Companions Follow Distance, not all of them. What do you have installed that is not listed in the load order. Also, please see "How to ask for help" and provide all the information noted there. How to ask for help
  13. What do you have installed that does not show in the load order? You are also missing one of the required files for oHUD. This is noted under the "Requirements" tab on the mod description page.
  14. Install order is also important. There is a tutorial and links to what you need here: Blender It's in the Oblivion mods section, but it does work for FO3/FNV, since they use the same game engine.
  15. You can't use Blender 2.93 to export .nif files for Fallout 3/Fallout: New Vegas. You can use it for modeling or other work, but you need to export the work as an .obj file, import the .obj file into Blender 2.49 and then export the file as a .nif file. Of course, you can always eliminate that by using Blender 2.49 for modeling for FO3/FNV.
  16. Just verify your game files with STEAM. Any vanilla files that are missing will be replaced.
  17. Instead of asking for help in the mod comments section?
  18. From the information you provided, you are having a problem with VORTEX, not Nexus Mod Manager. They are two different tools. There is a special forum for problems with VORTEX. It you want an answer, I suggest you post your problem there. This is the SITE feedback and questions forum.
  19. TLDR; Yes, there is a limit to the amount of records that the game engine can handle. The theoretical limit is 255. However, this is impossible to reach without using the Mod Limit Fix Plugin. This will enable the game to handle more mods. The exact number depends on a lot a variables and the total number of files cannot be positively stated.
  20. The game was designed and published when the state of the art was a 2 core CPU and will only use 2 cores. That is why it is necessary to edit the .ini to bUseThreadedAI=1 and iNumHWThreads=2 for the best game play. It doesn't make any difference how many cores the CPU has nor is there any setting that can be changed to utilize more than two cores.
  21. If children are viewing the images as xxray states (post #20 on page 2) it is a problem with the parents of said children and not the responsibility of the Nexus staff. There is a minimum age for membership and there is also age ratings for all the games. This places the responsibility for what a child accesses onto the parents not the content provider.
  22. Explaining what you are trying to do would be a big help.
  23. You are trying to run too many game files. If you are not using the Mod Limit Fix, you will not be able to run the game with the load order you are using.
  24. 158 plugins is about 25 too many. The game starts to have problems at around 130 +/- mod files. If you have any other mods that do not show on the load order, they can affect the performance also. All of those disabled mods also count towards the total number of files you can run. Remove any of the unused plugins and then continue to remove one you don't use. Or, you could use the Mod Limit Fix.
  25. You are trying to run too many files. I stopped counting at 136, which is the limit if you do not have the mod limit fix. You need to actually read what you have installed. There are quite a few unnecessary and conflicting plugins being loaded. That is the reason you need to actually read what is being installed and to not install all the optional plugins if a mod has them. Have you ever had the game start and run with no plugins? Or did you download your mods and then expect the game to run? Additional information on how the get the game up and running can be found here: Fallout New Vegas - Nexus Mods Wiki
