  4. People thing you need the CK for a lot of things but in my experience unless you adding scripts and need to compile then you dont need the CK for anything. All game models are in Nif form weather bodies, creatures, weapons or armors To add a new weapon or armor all you need is FO4Edit find a similar existing record and Copy into a new file, this will get you basi things like sounds, animations, mods, etc then you just need to change the Armature to point to your new niff, Armors have a added complexity of liinking to a AA file which has multiple armatures but it the same process just more niff files you have to link to

  7. endors combat armor customization does this with mods that apply different paints, and hell power armor like the BOS and Atom cats spawn with a specific paint so the system is there i suspect all yo need to do is changed the leveled lists so that a omod file spawns with a armor

Perhaps part of this should also be "The ability to name settlers" lol. i'm on board with that. naming settlers and seeing their statuses on an interactible table or terminal. the game already renames settlers to provisioners, seems like that could be adapted to rename them to say "farmer" "guard" or "merchant"
  9. Been working on my Power Armor Overhaul and got this idea to take a page from Customizable Combat armort and seperate Decals from armor but to do that you need a mesh to have the decal on. Then i got to thinkinking, "a lot of mods out there waste recipes just to give more color combinations" so here's my idea, it's gonna require tinkering in nifscope but if we could make a dummy layer or something onto the power armor parts we could paint a base layer, then on the second layer a different color say pink flames with transparencly the base color weather its black, red, chrome, cameo, whatever would then show through, then on a 3rd layer we can add custom decals. Obviously most vanilla armors would just fill the first layer but it would open up worlds of customizing.

  11. see i don't mindthe catapult idea because the miniment also do precision artilerary strike for ou and if power armor can withstand 200 years of nuclear fallout, being under water, and droping from the trinity tower a catapult drop should be nothing, these ARE war machines after all
  12. i wonder how hard it would be, i'll tinker in foedit later, but no promises, i know we have wall and celing turrets in game so the question becomes how hard would it be to enable them for settlements and to be repaired?
  13. the only problem i see with this is thatt he pipboy is INSIDE your powered armor so youd have to be sans arm for the light to escape
  14. +Follow I love the creativity of this idea, BOS Airdrops, institute relays, catapults, running. The only suggestion i can offer is for osmone to luse at the Prototype sentry boy in the robotics disposal, you grabe a holotape then program it to go to one of 4 predefined locations, maybe we can equip a chip on a individual suit of power armor (i imagine mutiple suites would require multiple holotpaes) then boot up the holotape and it makes the armor run to your location, check if your rank in a faction is high enough and you can unlock relay or air drops as well
  15. i think he wants it as a proper settlment with the gring ring, unforutalty build anywhere does not do that. And i think we need the Geck to define the green ring. I know one of the first Geck mods i'm making is going to remap the borders of all settments and add new ones.i want to push Santuary hills border all the way to the statue i hate the fack it helds halway across the bridge myself

So we have Jackets and coats which are obviously editing the mesh or textures of existing items, seeing as i cant even get nigscope to load a file i cant do this myself but the same process should work. Can we get a mod that seperate the shirts, pants/skirt, and shoes into different items for real mix and matching? Bonus points if the skirts and Pants take up different slots for laying skirts over pants.

  19. so how do you get glows to work without nifscope allowing imports, i'm trying to make varients of all the human/ghoul eyes with glows, basically cat like eyes shape and glow to go with the night person perk but i cant seem to add a glow map to the texture sets for the eyes

Been working to importing the Skyrim weapons to Fo4 but while i can point new records tothe niff files and add them to the character they dont show up when drawn, as i have learned the niffs are inatly different but people have converted weapons from new vegas so their has to be a way to convert nif files anyone know how?
  21. dont really understand installers, but even if i did dont think it would work in this instance as the dependencies and recreated mods are all edits to the tables in FO Edit the only way to do alternate versions would be like for my Fixed Nick Valentine and make seperate ESPs for every variation with manual changes to each esp
  22. no really if its part of the first list i recreated that functionality, and if its the second list those are REQUIRED for mine to function, the 3rd group have no breaking but are compatible. If you just like a particular feature go with the individual mo, thought if its the Weapon Racks mod or the Legendary mod you can prety much ingnore those as all my mod does is add their keywords you can just never use the weapon rack items and not miss anything
  23. this is a bit spoilerly but when you go to the Memory Den and relive Kelong's meories you learn one of the scietists with him while trying to get Shaun caused a cascade of failures of all the other life pods, Kelogg even admonishes him for it, but yeah while they may have died in game i could totally see if you have like int 7 and medic 4 you could revive them, hell the USS Constitution has a quest you can bypass to fix the ship by reparing/jerry rigging the wires if you have a int of 7 so the idea of fixing stuff isn't lore friendly just do something like require nuclear scientist 1 (since it is advanced Vault-Teck) to open the pods and like medic 2 to revive a person with a chance to fail reduced by having a higher medic). Course this would require new voices for the corpses and hey maybe we can revive our own spouses (and there should be more then enough voiced dialong to cobble together a ai package for them)
  24. should be relitivly easy to enable tint mask for ghouls id think, the human/player race is caucasion in the base texture maps but tinp maks lets them change that, i'll keep it at the back of my mind but maybe a more experienced moder will get to it first

So loving fallout 4, loving modding it even but i feel like it's missing some things, notably i can tick every single scar and blesh for my face but my body is always pristine, can one of the better moders out there find a way to give us a system to ad scars and blemishes to the body as well? On a similar note can we get a neck tatoo that looks like gills, my character took the Aquagirl perk early and in my head cannon thats because i kinda see her having gils as some weird mutation, be kinda cool if we could equip gills like a tatoo, maybe even take some other bits off the mirelurk kings as further mutations to make our own fish men and women, i know full on mermaids was even beyond skyrim but the Lurk Kings have a humanoid shape maybe we can find a way to use their assets to make our own creatures from the Black Lagoon
