  1. Somehow you've told Windows to install certain Windows components inside your BG3 folder. Vortex can't cause this, but it shows errors because these files are protected by the operating system. I've done a bit of Google-ing but I cannot work out how you've done this. You may want to look at the article here as a possible cause of this issue: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-change-default-app-installation-location/c1cf08e2-1608-400a-a055-38938e1ca8da
  2. This kind of thing is usually down to a hardware issue or some kind of external program (e.g. Anti-virus) interfering with Vortex. I've only ever managed to get Vortex to show this warning by deploying a mod list of several thousand mods and even then it didn't crash.
  3. You probably have some kind of security software blocking Vortex from talking to the internet. Check any anti-virus or firewall apps you use, you may need to add an exception for Vortex to work.
  4. Try renaming the file on your PC and upload it again (if the problem persists). What can happen is the chunks on the upload server get corrupted, but they are assigned to the name of the file you upload.
  5. Thanks for the reports and we're sorry you're having this issue. We'll forward this information to our ad providers. If possible, please provide the additional info from this post to help us track the issue down more effectively.
  6. I've merged together all the recent reports of ad-related issues as some of the posts here bumped old reports that were months or years old.
  7. I've moved your post to a more appropriate forum. The place you posted was for help with the Nexus Mods app. It seems you're asking for general mod support. If you don't get a response here, try posting on the mod page.
  8. Your Vortex version is super old and cannot be updated automatically. Please redownload the latest version from the website and install it over the top of what you have installed.
  9. Bethesda probably changed the save format (again!) with the introduction of the REV-8. Pinging @insomnious.
  10. Caution: To update the app, you must completely uninstall the old version, including all mods. Learn More. This release enhances support for Cyberpunk 2077, adds multiple Loadouts per game and implements the back-end changes to support our new "Loadout items" data model. Cyberpunk 2077 Improvements IMPORTANT: It is not currently possible for the app to run REDmod automatically on Linux - Windows users are unaffected. If you are using REDmods on Linux you may need to manually run the REDmod.exe file located at tools\redmod\bin\redmod.exe before launching the game. This version further refines the modding experience for Cyberpunk 2077 players by adding additional diagnostics to the Health Check and automatically running REDmod - if necessary - before starting the game. Learn More. Multiple Loadouts Loadouts offer a convenient way to manage several different mod setups for a single game. Players can easily swap between simple or complex mod setups by creating multiple loadouts. In this release players can create, copy and delete loadouts for any supported game. You can learn more about this feature here. Your mod configuration files for Stardew Valley are synced to the current loadout, so you can have different mod settings for different lists of mods. EXPERIMENTAL - Tree views for My Mods and Library We're still working on the new "tree view" for the My Mods and Library pages, but you can preview them in this version by enabling the "Enable tree UI for Library and My Mods" toggle in the app settings. The image below is the current design we are working towards and does not represent what is available in the app. Please be aware that these pages are unfinished and are not stable enough to fully replace the current views, but we are working hard on improving them and hope to start using them in the next release. Known issues The Downloads page is not working and currently shows a placeholder progress bar. Cyberpunk 2077 - REDmods are not automatically deployed on Linux. Other Features Updated the My Games page with new tile designs. Game tiles now show a store icon to indicate where the game was downloaded from. It is now possible to delete mods from your Library. Within a Workspace the active panel is now highlighted in the UI. All panels and tabs in Workspace now have a history, allowing the user to navigate forward or backward using the new arrows on the top toolbar. The fonts used in the UI have been updated to Inter in line with our new design system. Bug fixes Fixed the game icon in the spine flickering when updating a loadout. Reworded the "Update available" pop-up to make it clearer that updating the app requires a full reset of your mod setup. Fixed an issue where Steam games would fail to launch on Ubuntu. Technical Changes Downloading files now uses a new "Jobs" system to make them easier to manage. We are continuing our backend work to convert from "Mods" to "Loadout items". More Info The synchronizer for handling loadout states has been reworked to provide much more robust coverage of edge cases. Added generic support for path-based diagnostic checks when checking for missing dependencies. External Contributors @Patriot99: Polish translation updates. Get the latest version of the app here
  11. Please start here for help with download issues.
  12. If you didn't intentionally make these changes, simply revert them all. Then on the next deploy it'll use all the files from your staging folder, ignoring those in the game folder (that aren't controlled by Vortex).
  13. You should follow this guide from the built-in docs: https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex/wiki/MODDINGWIKI-Users-General-Moving-Vortex-to-a-new-PC
  14. Somehow you've set D:\Vortex\Downloads\Vortex_downloads_folder\__vortex_downloads_folder as a tool in Vortex. Go to the dashboard, find the tools section and use the "Edit" option on each tool to work out which one you've messed with. I suspect it's the Starfield Script Extender (SFSE) shortcut.
  15. You are asked on the first step of installing a collection when profile you want to add it to. Just pick one that already exists.
  16. Ha, there may have been a small one. It does make me sad that browsers and addons give users all these extra "Privacy" options without adequately explaining that it will break websites to use them.
  17. Clear your cookies and try again. If the problem persists try a different browser. This kind of thing is almost always browser addons or privacy settings
  18. We'll be sure to add more during the week. You can suggest new categories when uploading mods
  19. Check the "Extensions" section and make sure you don't have more than one Starfield extension installed.
  20. That's something we've looked at before. It's difficult because the gift cards are region specific so we can't just have a generic $20 gift card for your region. It's not completely out of the question, but right now the DP store has no "regional awareness" and as we have limited time to keep it stocked up we aim to offer things that can appeal to the majority of users.
  21. We've reverted to WebP 90% quality for now, but we will continue testing AVIF at some point in the next few weeks (the developers working on this are on annual leave).
  22. If you download multiple files via the browser do you have any issues? It sounds like something on your PC is blocking (or limiting) Vortex's ability to communicate with the download servers. It could also an ISP issue as some ISPs block your connection to certain servers after downloading a certain amount of data.
  23. This error usually means something on your PC it interfering with Vortex's ability to communicate with the internet. Check any local firewalls or security programs
  24. Vortex has the following CLI commands https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex/wiki/MODDINGWIKI-Users-Troubleshooting-Command-Line-Parameters
  25. This may answer the OPs question https://modding.wiki/en/nexusmods/collections/create/add-external-mods
