  1. Never forget that Obsidian was doing FNV. I came to expect much higher standards in terms of storytelling with Obsidian than I do with Bethesda.
  2. Again, it depends on what you expect. I had the season pass, so I got them all for 29. Some, like contraptions, I probably wouldn't have bothered with. Some others, such as Far Harbor or Nuka World, certainly add to the game.
  3. Depends on what you expect. It's a Bethesda game, not more, not less. Hardly any story worth mentioning, lots to explore, lots to fight and tons of high quality mods. Settlement building is certainly an aspect to love or hate. I love it, but that's down to individual tastes.
  4. What do you mean? The current version runs with the latest exe.
  5. There's also a data folder included in the F4SE package. Make sure to drag it also over the main data folder. It contains the scripts and I believe the readme doesn't say anything abuout it.
  6. It's save to say, you can delete everything with the cc prefix. That's quite a lot of junk I'm sure to get restored with the next update. But thanks to point us to the cc prefix anyway. Good to know for some future cleaning operations.
  7. Don't expect much in terms of story. That's Bethesda after all, but if you embark on your own adventure, there's plenty of room to shape your character.
  8. I can't confirm that. I'm running uncapped settlement surplus and Sanctuary currently holds more than 12.000 units of water and more than 2000 of Mutfruit. And yet the settlers are still working.
  9. Is F4SE updated yet? I'm glad I switched steam to offline, so it didn't update my game.
  10. So I noticed that some items are gone from my game. Such as the elevated defense platform. I first noticed at the castle and then at hangmans, where the platforms are simply gone. At hangmans, there's only a floating door left at the riverside of the settlement. I can call up the particular item in the menu, but it's empty, for lack of a better word. Only my mousepointer is showing up. Secondly I noticed that the minutemen body in front of the museum at Concord is gone also. The musket and the ammunition is still lying there, but not the dead man. Has anyone experienced something similar?
  11. Turns out it was an appearance mod called New Gages. Obviously activating it before first meeting the guy crashes the game. So nevermind.
  12. As the title says. I'm running the same mods as I did before, yet I cannot leave the gauntlet to confront the overboss. The game loads for a while and then CTDs. I read something about disabling weapon and armor keywords, but that didn't help either.
  13. Just ship them all off. That's what I did, starting after my very first game. They all go to Red Rocket and guess who doesn't come to visit.
  14. That's definitely one I have to look up. Got a link for it?
  15. I wonder why people make such a big deal out of it. I shipped the whole crew off to Red Rocket and stay well clear if I don't want to socialise with Preston.
  16. So it seems that everything above 30 settlers causes the problem. My purely anecdotal evidence confirms that. The game obviously has a tendency to bug out if the magic 30 are hit.
  17. Literally, and I don't know what's wrong. The front part of the head is featureless. No lips, no eyebrows, for lack of a better word, looking like brown clay. So, using unique player, I removed all the textures, restarted and the body, as expected, is a shiny pink, but the brown head is still there, although there's no texture file in the folder. Replacing the textures with a complete set, including face files, doesn't work either. The body is as it should be, the face remains the same dark brownish mess.
  18. I found that the disabling godrays mod from here takes care of a lot of workshop crashes. The problem is, cell transition is beginning to turn into a chore. There's always that little jerk when the transition happens. Nowadays this leads into a freeze and crash more often than it did before. They must have changed something, since I'm using the exact same setup I used before. Hard- and Software. I also haven't got the same problems with other games. I also noticed that I can't use a resolution of 1440 x 900 anymore. It's my native resolution and the one I'm using for every game, FO4 included. But now, when I switch to that resolution, the screen says, resolution not supported. Once again, this is the only game where this happens.
  19. I don't know what it is. Drivers, the game itself with it's cretin club updates or something else, but I keep crashing every 2 or 3 minutes. Mostly when changing POV or, even more frequently, when in workshop mode. I come back to FO4 after a lengthy pause, and I don't remember the game to be borderline unplayable. I even did a fresh install without mods, but no dice. Game keeps crashing. Even before leaving the house atfer character creation i already crashed three times with a vanilla game.
  20. Maybe start by telling us what mods you're talking about? To see if something is conflicting.
  21. Looks like it's barely scratching the minimum requirements. But the more important question seems to be, did it already run on the same machine?
  22. What concern is it of ours if something hurts the CC? I mean, you can't ask the script extender folks to run and constantly develop two versions, just for the sake of those who are into microtransactions. For me it's more important to not have some bloatware installed whenever they're updating their little cash printing scheme.
