  1. My game didn't even start after pacthing. Probably my own fault, since I didn't replace the ansel files prior to patching, to replace them again after. So I went for repair, which made my game operational aagin, albeit needing to reinstall my mods.
  2. Since this is a cutscene, I'd cut it at before all the "didn't get killed stuff". Don't know if something like that is even possible, though. As it is, the skip button has become my dearest friend in situations like this.
  3. I'm not into horde mode multiplayers, so I couldn't care less. But going by the usual standards, you will get banned from any multiplayer if you provide yourself with an unfair advantage. In any case, as has been said, answers.com is the right place to ask.
  4. And riddled with adware. If you're the enemy of your rig and what's left of your privacy, go use it
  5. ยด Tell me about it. My Sara looks like a wrinkly old woman when talking to Drak in his kitchen. Brings out the worst in your creations sometimes.
  6. A known Bioware weakness. NPCs always were bland. This time round, they're maybe a little more bland than they used to be. With the Asari more or less being a copy paste job, only varying in their shades of blue and the occasional facial tatoo. Same goes for the Angarans. Even the ones you can interact with are more or less the same. I couldn't even pick Jaal out of a crowd were it not for his cape.
  7. What are you talking about? There is only ONE attractive Asian face (preset 1 female) and you had to do a lot of work to make it appealing, the other one was so ugly that no amount of fiddling can make her look good. Yeah, well I'm talking about the female preset. This is a thread about Sara and not Scott if you hadn't noticed. And that didn't take a lot of work to make it appealing. Apart from the ears, but that's impossible in any case, since there are no ear modifiers included in that character creator.
  8. Even without being a modder, there's an easy answer. Bioware migrating to the Frostbyte engine.
  9. It's just a hidden load screen. So there wouldn't be any real change, just cosmetics. Probably with a black screen, since it's an ingame cinematic. So, in that sense, I guess you could mod it yourself. By removing the particular movie files. It's nice, but I wish we had the ability to always use it (i.e. go nude in combat instead of heavy armor) Wut? In the sense of you quoting me?
  10. The game is alright. That's not to say it doesn't have serious issues. But the hate is totally unfounded.
  11. I knew they changed his VA, but in all honesty, to this day I don't know who he is. Did a good job though. I didn't really notice the difference and didn't bother to do comparisons.
  12. Yeah, got me puzzled for a few seconds also.

  14. I guess with the abysmal ingame character creator, these files come in handy for many people. So why should they be removed. I'm playing the asian preset so far, which is rather well done in it's original. But I can imagine that presets are a welcome addition.
  15. He only really was in ME2. But yes, I generally like Salarians. As far as puzzles go, that's one thing pissing me off to no end in this game. The moment I was able to buy decription keys, I did. I didn't sign up to play a game of riddles, but an adventure with RPG elements. But that's me, never looking for any achievements, since they don't add to the game in the sense that you get something for your gaming experience.
  16. Her. The voice is female. Is it supposed to be that? Gee, you never learn.
  17. I would like to shut him up at certain instances. Such as his constant reminder of mining locations, the moment I open the mining window. Well, yes genius, guess what, I opened that window because I already knew. Or his constant rambling about having new email when there isn't one.
  18. Funny as that may sound. I'm OK with a main quest ending in a cliffhanger. I'm not OK with each and every memorable side quest ending that way. They should be there to offer instant gratification for the player, not leaving them out in the cold.
  19. There are good and bad reasons to beat on EA - or on major game publishers in general. Andromeda is a good game, for me it's not a great game. One of the major reasons to beat up on EA is the obvious gearing up for DLC release. There are many lose plot lines, which allow you to see the carrot dangling in your face without being able to resolve the issue at hand. I'm not talking about the main quest, but about various side quests that just evaporate into thin air, once you're nearing a resolution. The Ryder family secrets one is the most obvious. It ends in two cliff hangers if you follow it through.
  20. I can offer no other insights than that my characters also seem to emit light from their mouths.
  21. Why? PC sales are only a fraction of what they sell across platforms. By all means, do the petition, just don't expect anything to come of it. The last real time when Bioware allowed extensive modding was DA:O. That's about ten years back.
  22. Don't you speak corporate by now? As someone who worked PR for the better part of two decades, I can tell you, the above is just an empty statement. It's geared at making the audience show how much they care without really committing to anything. Fat chance that EA listens to a petition on mod tools. It's not that a real s#*! storm, such as the ME3 ending, would errupt over something like that. It's also that there's a lot of empty space left in this game that will be filled with outfit- and equipment DLCs. So modders are the competition even at the most basic level.
  23. What does that even have to do with the topic at hand? Apart from this being just a rant.
  24. What do you expect two weeks after release? Without any mod tools or support by the company.
  25. I guess it depends on how many modders are actually interested and invested in the game. Modding is a labor of love and so they're doing it for their own satisfaction primarilly.
