  1. I don't know how many modders know about this lovely piece of gaming equipment, and that skyrim is already one of the games promised to be supported by it.

    But I would like to see some mods designed specifically for it, "Joy of perspective" is a great example of a mod that works PERFECTLY for it (even though it wasn't designed for it), and I have installed it despite it's.... wonkiness just for the OR.

  2. I need a very simple mod made for me, to fix an issue that has been plaguing me for months. I need a mod, that replaces all the children animations, with the vanilla ones, basically doing nothing for most people, but since all the children in my game seem to have their animations deleted somehow and MONTHS of trying to fix this issue have led only to hair being pulled out, I think this simple fix should be all I need, since I assume something I did broke the link to the children's animations, or relinked them to an empty folder, if I make a mod that relinks them a folder with all the vanilla animations, everything should work fine, but sadly my modding experience is so minimal I can't even do this.

     

    I would seriously love anyone who fixes this issue for me, I am trying to get my skyrim PERFECT for when the Oculus Rift comes out, and this glitch simply will not go away. :wallbash:

I support this mod through and through, there was a mod like this for oblivion that I never got to finish because my PC died on me, and ever since I got into skyrim I've been hoping for a mod like this. I love playing powerful evil necromages, and being a vampire just isn't doing it for me in skyrim, even with some great vampire mods and dawnguard.

     

    EDIT: If and when you need beta testers, I would be happy to give you some help, I run a lot of nercomancy mods, magic mods, and SkyRe, so it will be a good compatibility test.

  4. I am looking for a mod I stumbled across a while back that lets you see your character in first person, so that if you look down you see yourself instead of magical empty air. Can anyone help me find this mod again?

     

    Also, I am looking for a mod that removes children from the game, for the past few months my game has been rendered unplayable by a glitch making all my children un-animated, no mod seems to be the cause of it, and I would sooner just remove them all rather then have them placed around unmoving like creepy talking statues.

  5. All children in my game are stuck in the 'unanimated' pose, or the 'half T' pose as some people call it, their mouths move, they talk, but they don't move, they just stand there with their arms raised out to their sides.

     

    I can not figure this issue out for the life of me, I have tried uninstalling every animation mod I have (none of which affected children in the first place) and the only mod I have installed in my game which effects children in any way shape or form is one that adds a khajiit child to the game, and oddly this khajiit child is animated just fine (probably because she uses the khajiit body instead of the children's) I have tried uninstalling this mod, and no luck.

     

    This has had my game out of commission for some time now, and I am really starting to get frustrated.

  6. is there a mod that removes children from the game?

     

    I realize this could be game breaking, but at the moment, all of my children are stuck and won't animate at all, when I have not installed a single mod that effects them in any way, and I simply can't seem to solve the issue. I just can't play my game with children standing around like they are infected with a horrible case of rock joint, it's so immersion breaking it's not funny.

     

    The only issue I see here, is the Dark Brotherhood quest, and of coarse hearthfire, but I have no interest in adopting children anyways.

  7. I use Skyrim Redone and the Belua Sanguinare myself, and I can personally say this is a nice combo, and it makes for an enjoyable experience.

  8. Personally I would like to propose something more unique and challanging: some monstrious humanoid reptilian with wings and flying animations. Im looking for something like that very much.

    Well considering I am already in way over my head with this, and I don't want something like that in the slightest, and there is already a monstrous looking dragon race (Without wings though) I think I'll stick with my current project. :sweat:

     

    If you really want something like that, you can always try to make it yourself! Though, I know of a mod pretty much exactly like that for Oblivion, so I am sure someone will make it eventually.

     

    It's going to take me tons of effort and god knows how much time to just to make a simple new anthromorphic race or two, but I'm doing it because it's what I want in skyrim! I may make a more dragon like argonian, but the thought of trying to make a flying race and flapping wings makes me want to run screaming from it. Just making new meshes is going to be a massive "Dive into the deep end and hope I can swim" type experiment for me.

     

    If I could do it myself I would already have done it. Unfortunatelly I have zero knowledge about graphics. Even pictures on my mod's front page are done by someone else. I just do abilities, scripts etc.

     

    Yes, there was a mod for Oblivion called Drakes Anthro-Dragon Race WIP pre-beta releases by DrakeTheDragon. The guy has made a winged lizard with animations but no flying ability. Based on that resources BlackStorm999 has made Dragorian and Dranaugh Races. Now this mod contained a flying ability, albeit a very simple one. Thats where I started my worked and created Dragorian and Dranaugh Races Reworked. I havent done any graphical tweaks, but I gave the lizard very sophisticated abilities. But the most important was the ablity to fly and glide or even fall freely. The flight was in horizontal position. It took into consideration gravity and wind. You could for example die while crash landing. There was collision detection. You could even pick an actor and drop it while being high in the air, which was usually for the actor a fatal experience. That has created an extremly unique game experience.

     

     

    I would like to repeat that. I have already created for Skyrim few very sophsticated abilities including a wind and smell. I have iven implemented a thermal column in the Eastmarch. I now need a new monster model to work on it.

     

    I know its not an easy thing to do what I ask. DrakeTheDragon has in fact never finished his work. But the work he has done was already very impressive and allowed my mod to be created. Perhaps you could start slowly. For now I am very interested in some kind of monstrious humanoid lizard preferably with sneaking animations. I already have for him some serious stuff, like dynamic night eye, smell&winf, adrenaline surge, 6th sense and above all heat (predator) sense. If you could make the lizard without visible scales I wold create chameleon camouflage ability and posioned claws. Perhaps even a venom spit. Check out my mod: Nature of the beast II. If you have anything like that please let me know.

    I do admit, it sounds really cool, but I think you are seriously over estimating me. Like I said, I am already in way over my head here without trying to take on something ten times more complex. Just making new ears/tails/feet/heads is going to be a challenge for me, to do this concept justice I would have to build an entire new body from the ground up, intricate animated wings, and god knows what else. I already pretty much have no clue what I am doing, but I'm starting this project because it's what I really want to see done, I feel like a 'dessert fox' type race is the only thing my skyrim experience is missing.

     

    I am very much a newbie to modding, I'd love for any help you could offer on my mod, and I'd be willing to offer any help I can for your mod, but nothing you are asking of me is really remotely in the realm of what I can do. My mod which is simple in comparison to what you are asking, is still technically beyond my abilities, but I want it so bad I'm willing to learn how to do it just to see it in the game. Maybe somewhere way down the line if I learn how to use blender and such good for my mod I can help you with yours. I am a perfectionist and very meticulous, so I'm sure if I learned HOW to do those things I could at least do something with it, but for the time being I'm going to focus on the much much simpler mod that I actually want to see in my game. :P Maybe if it was a lot simpler I could try and include it in this mod (since I intend to have a lot to races to pick from) but I just can't take on something that's going to be more complex then the 4 or 5 other races I want to make combined.

     

    I would LOVE to have this mod included in mine, don't get me wrong, I just have no clue whatsoever how to even start on it, and I don't want to take on a project that's going to make the project I set out to do impossible to complete in a timely fashion.

     

    And what about a monstrous lizard without wings? Could you do it?

    I may make some kind of reptile, but I will likely shy away from 'lizard' since argonians already exist, and a lot of lizards already exist. I just have no ambition to make something I'll probably never use that already exists. =[ If I could get permission from the last two mod authors, I could try and combine and recolor them a bit and make them fir the body mods I use, but that would be about the most I could do on that.

    If you'd read all my post instead of one little line, you'd see that the issue didn't start when I installed the mod, so I know this mod itself isn't the culprit. Also, nothing like this is reported with the mod in questions, so odds are it's a CONFLICT, and not an error of this mod exclusively. The trouble started when i tried to tweak the moon settings in the sky effects of my ENB, so I personally would assume a conflict there. Though, as I said, I turned off ALL sky effects, and the issue persists.

     

    Not to mention, I don't want to just uninstall this mod because it might be the culprit of something that happened shortly after I downloaded it(Since I have over 130 mods new issues are always randomly surfacing at the most random off times, sometimes new mods 'agitate' them to the surface.), I've been looking for something like this mod for a long long long time. It's always better to fix a problem then drop a bomb on it, even if the later answer is a stupidly simple one. Complex problem solving may not be necessary, but I find it worth it. :whistling:

  10. I am having a weird issue, at first i thoguht it was being caused by my ENB's sky effects(SkyRealism ENB Evolved), but I turned it off completely and I am still getting the glitch. I think it has something to do with this mod, which I just installed.

    Oddly, when I first installed the mod it worked fine, but then shortly after this glitch started happening, even during the day time one of the moons can still be seen shining brighter then the sun. Which moon is shining like this seems to be random, as I can load the same save over and over and it goes back and forth between the two at random, whichever one is NOT being effected by the insane light glitch has this weird streaking glitch.

  11. A have a simple request, to replace the 'galaxy' in the sky with a full spiral galaxy image. Thus the planet is far away from the center of the galaxy.

     

    I may attempt this myself if no one does it. xP

     

    EDIT: I would also like a 'red giant' replacer for the sun, though this seems less possible, since I have CoT.

    I'm seriously getting desperate here, NOTHING IS WORKING. And I have NO IDEA what caused this, every animation mod I have has been uninstalled and NOTHING seems to be the culprit, I even uninstalled every mod I downloaded around the time of this happening, and NOTHING.

    No. No. No.

     

    "Always on quests" are one of the biggest pain in the asses to me, I have almost uninstalled moonpath to eslwery just because of this. It's very annoying and immersion breaking to have a 'MAGIC QUEST FROM NOWHERE THAT IS ALWAYS THERE AND NEVER GOES AWAY EVEN THOUGH ITS ABOUT SOME SMALL OBSCURE THING YOU SHOULDN'T KNOW ABOUT"

     

    Secondly, Mods that mod PERKS are the single most conflicting annoying mods in existence, since MOST people use some sort of perk overhaul (like SkyRe, there are many others) that makes these mods COMPLETELY INCOMPATIBLE, and I can't tell you how many times I've had to totally ignore a mod that randomly adds in perks when it was totally unnecessary.

     

    ""Don't claim dibs on content you don't need.

    Your armor set does not need an edited cell. Yes, it may be fun for the player to retrieve the armor from a rooftop or buy it from an NPC. No, this does not warrant putting that asterisk in the name of the Whiterun cell. Your mod does not need Whiterun more than the other mod the player is using, which completely overhauls Whiterun.""

     

    I play mods to MOD my game. If a person wants to include there mod into a game in a way that is lore friendly instead of making me use the console, then by all means YES they can edit a cell to put it in.

     

    ""Make your mod fail gracefully when uninstalled or superseded by another mod in the load order.

    Anything the player will get stuck with after they uninstall the mod is bad. A particularly common issue is the use of scripted abilities ended only by OnEffectFinish(), or objects/perks that are added and removed by scripts. Also, scripts that do not terminate themselves should come with a periodic update event or loop that reads a constant and verifies it matches a magic number: when the mod is removed, the constant will cease to exist (note: variables do persist) and the check will fail, at which point the script should clean up everything it spawned and Stop().""

     

    This simply isn't possible for some mods, and a mod maker isn't going to not make a mod altogether just because you want it to be easy to uninstall. The more complex a mod, the more you should look into it before you install it. It's YOU who installed a mod you don't want and now have to uninstall it, it's in no way the modders fault you downloaded their mod when you don't want it. Yes, mods should fail gracefully if possible, and if it is possible, they do, if it isn't, they don't, and no one should ever dumb down and dull out their mod just to make it easier to uninstall.

     

     

    There are thousands of mods, people shouldn't tailor make their mods to be compatible with every one in existence, I would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather have fewer complex mods then tons and tons and tons of boring simple mods that barely do anything, that will likely end up causing issues anyways do to the sheer number of mods. (since I already have nearly 150 mods many of which are extremely complex) I do agree, yes, modders should think about other mods when they make them, I have even seen one or two out there that pretty much say "If this isn't the only mod you have installed in skyrim it won't work" But guess what.... NO ONE IS MAKING YOU DOWNLOAD THEM. If a modder wants to make an over complex mod that is impossible to be compatible with anything, then it's their loss when no one downloads it. The thing is, with some simple research and thorough reading off descriptions and read-mes, you yourself can make all the mods you want compatible with each other, our find compatible alternatives, instead of complaining to the people who make the mods to strip them off their features so you don't have to do the work to make your game run flawlessly.

But the most important was the ablity to fly and glide or even fall freely. The flight was in horizontal position. It took into consideration gravity and wind. You could for example die while crash landing. There was collision detection. You could even pick an actor and drop it while being high in the air, which was usually for the actor a fatal experience. That has created an extremly unique game experience.

     

     

    I would like to repeat that. I have already created for Skyrim few very sophsticated abilities including a wind and smell. I have iven implemented a thermal column in the Eastmarch. I now need a new monster model to work on it.

     

    I know its not an easy thing to do what I ask. DrakeTheDragon has in fact never finished his work. But the work he has done was already very impressive and allowed my mod to be created. Perhaps you could start slowly. For now I am very interested in some kind of monstrious humanoid lizard preferably with sneaking animations. I already have for him some serious stuff, like dynamic night eye, smell&winf, adrenaline surge, 6th sense and above all heat (predator) sense. If you could make the lizard without visible scales I wold create chameleon camouflage ability and posioned claws. Perhaps even a venom spit. Check out my mod: Nature of the beast II. If you have anything like that please let me know.

    I do admit, it sounds really cool, but I think you are seriously over estimating me. Like I said, I am already in way over my head here without trying to take on something ten times more complex. Just making new ears/tails/feet/heads is going to be a challenge for me, to do this concept justice I would have to build an entire new body from the ground up, intricate animated wings, and god knows what else. I already pretty much have no clue what I am doing, but I'm starting this project because it's what I really want to see done, I feel like a 'dessert fox' type race is the only thing my skyrim experience is missing.

     

    I am very much a newbie to modding, I'd love for any help you could offer on my mod, and I'd be willing to offer any help I can for your mod, but nothing you are asking of me is really remotely in the realm of what I can do. My mod which is simple in comparison to what you are asking, is still technically beyond my abilities, but I want it so bad I'm willing to learn how to do it just to see it in the game. Maybe somewhere way down the line if I learn how to use blender and such good for my mod I can help you with yours. I am a perfectionist and very meticulous, so I'm sure if I learned HOW to do those things I could at least do something with it, but for the time being I'm going to focus on the much much simpler mod that I actually want to see in my game. :P Maybe if it was a lot simpler I could try and include it in this mod (since I intend to have a lot to races to pick from) but I just can't take on something that's going to be more complex then the 4 or 5 other races I want to make combined.

     

    I would LOVE to have this mod included in mine, don't get me wrong, I just have no clue whatsoever how to even start on it, and I don't want to take on a project that's going to make the project I set out to do impossible to complete in a timely fashion.

    Mighty dragons has a patch for the two of them, that makes all three work perfectly together!

     

    The patch is included in the main download for that mod, you have to have this load order however.

    3) "Mighty Dragons".esp

    4) "MD with DeadlyD DDiversified Dawnguard patch".esp

    I don't have Dawnguard, and I need to download the versions of Deadly Dragons and Diversified that don't require Dawnguard. Will this still work of I download Mighty Dragons, and then the no-Dawnguard versions of the other mods?

    I'm not 100% certain... it doesn't say it DOESN'T work without Dawnguard. The only patch I can find in my download is the dawnguard version though.

     

    Not to be this guy, but you should really think about getting dawnguard, a lot of amazing mods rely on it, and it itself is great. :tongue: Hearthefire is very meh though, there are mods that do the same thing bettwer for free in my opinion.

    The tail clipped a lot and was attached to a random item, Brown Pants.

    Regardless, if you do pursue the idea, you can port this over and use it as a base.

     

    One more thing - You could simply disallow leg and boot armors with the Tsaesci race.

    It was a very.. unpopular feature back in the day with Khajiits and Argonians but I don't think you'll hear any complaints.

    Just use a racial bonus to compensate. 10-15% armor maybe, idk?

    But with skyrim, the legs are part of the torso, I don't think it would be possible to remove the ability to wear 'leg armor' without removing the ability to wear anything buy gauntlets and a helmet.

     

    I also planned on including the 'no boots' idea in my anthro races already, since they will have digitigrade feet. I plan on making up for it with increased foot speed.

     

    I do think this general concept is still somewhat doable, but just maybe not as detialed and snakelike as you are wanting. I person feel nagas should have giant long tails anyways. The only thing I can think of it to make the idea i have work, is to hesitantly make the character a ''playable animal" that can't equip armor period (can maybe equip weapons though, I dunno) It would be a big sacrifice, but the result would be a very snake like race. though, something that complex is likely beyond what I could create myself mesh wise.
