  1. I cannot have CHSBHC, better females, and better males then, correct?

    No you can not, you must pick one female mod, and one male mod. Think of them like shoes. You can wear one shoe on your left foot, and another on your right foot, mix and match them all you want, no problem, but if you try and put two shoes on one foot, somethings going to go terribly wrong.

     

    I believe there is a rather complicated way you can make a new race just for your character, and give that race a separate body mesh from the rest, so your character has a different body then all the other characters in the game of the same gender, but I'm not sure if that's what you are wanting, or even how to do that.

  2. Alright, I'm having two main issues (besides a graphics glitch with a giant black grid in my night sky, but that's something totally different)

    1] I am getting CTDs about 80% of the time when my game is loading a character up. When I don't CTD on this, I CTD sometime within the next 2-10 minutes after that about 70% of the time. If I manage to make it past both those, I get pretty much just totally random CTDs anywhere from 20 minutes to 3 hours in. Nothing ever triggers them, sometimes I'm just walking, sometimes I'm not doing anything, sometimes I'm talking to someone, sometimes I'm looking in a container. Oddly, it has never happened during combat, or other taxing events you would think cause a CTD. I never experience any lag, so I don't think that's the issue.

    2] I have the 'Dagi Khajiit' mod installed, and I set up PCEA path to give them their own animations, I downloaded a lot of female specific animations and copy pasted the folder so the males of the dagi raht would have the same animations. Everything seemed to work fine, my male chaarcter gets the animations right, and the female dagi follower I have mods just fine, but my female dagi character is stuck in the "default T" pose for some reason. I tried re-installing the mod, with no luck. The only edits I have made to the dagi female is a custom texture I did, and I did this some time ago, and experienced no issues with it.

    3] This isn't an 'issue' but while I'm here, the ruins of Sarthal, and a skull outside the ruins have been renamed to something foreign (Scavi De Sarthal I think) and I have no idea why. Nothing else I have come across has been effected, and I have no mods that should touch that area of the game, the mages guild, quests, locations, etc. Most of my mods are visual or content based.

    To be fair, Skyrim is the homeland of the human races (excluding the Reguards), so it's only natural that Skyrim won't feel so "alien" but akin to the Nordic folktale of all. What you call boring (de-boringizing?) I call immersive and atmospheric. But to each his own. Good luck in your endeavors, and I know there'll be folks that will enjoy this mod upon completion.

     

    Oh, and please change your font. It's pretty damned hard to read.

    Where humans lived they got rid of most of the weird stuff. Morrowind was a twisted volcanic wasteland, and the only reasons why the Dunmer are even living there is because their ancestors were convinced to move there by Daedric Princes. Anyone in their right mind would have stayed away that place. We have yet to see Summerset, Elsweyr and Black Marsh, perhaps those places would have the weird stuff you like

  4. I'm not sure if the sight recently rolled out an update or something, but here lately it takes me almost 30-45 minutes to make one simple edit to my threads with coding. Making the post with coding isn't QUITE as hard, but it's still very glitchy, and doesn't make sense. I had a [/color] tag that would jump from the end of my post to random places all over it every single time I saved my post with a

    tag in it. In addition, it would just randomly drop off center/color/size tags half way through my post, even though the coding ends them at the end.

     

    Using the 'none code' setting (or whatever you want to call it) where you see the post as it would be finished has almost all the same issue, except they are impossible to attempt to fix, I would get random uncoded chunks of my page, and such. I never had issues with the coder before, but the past several days I've had so many that try to add any code, even spoilers/img/url tags to my post has become next to impossible without spending 20-30 minutes correct the errors it spits at me every time I click 'post' - I'm very picky about mow my posts look,l and I don't like half my post to be green and large and bolded and the other half to be tiny and white with broken url tags scattered about it.

     

    I'm sure the sight is just in the process of updating things (I like a lot of the new updates, minus them taking away the search bar in the mods section... which I don't understand at all, it just makes looking for mods 3 times more complex for no reason), but I just wanted to let them know that they've done SOMETHING wrong with the URL coding.

     

    I use Google Chrome and Windows 7 64bit, if it matters.

    I never said ANYTHING about Skyrim not fitting the lore. I was talking about the planet nirn in general, not specifically just skyrim. Just because "humans" come from there doesn't mean it has to be EXACTLY like boring old earth. Morrowind feels like a different planet compared to skyrim, and it's actually VERY close by, just one province away. Compared to Morrowind Skyrim is just BORING, even if it fits the lore perfectly. Yes i enjoy the atmosphere of skyrim, who doesn't, but once you've played it for a long time, it gets boring and repetitive, yes it's beautiful, but it's the same type of thing we see here on earth every day. I just feel Skyrim should feel like Morrowind did; Like I am TRULY not on earth anymore, and Skyrim feels so much like earth it hurts. I do intend to keep the original atmosphere, it will still be cold and harsh, it will still be the homeland of humans, just befitting of the alien planet it resides upon.

     

    Also, the font looks just fine, in fact, it's much easier to read then the default grey-on-grey of this site if you ask me. There must be something wrong with your monitor.

    Skyrim is really similar to real world.

     

    I thought about "Fantasying" it a bit, adding giant mushrooms here and there, possibly replacing some houses with the mushroom houses from Dragonborn.

    .. Making the world feel like fantasy world with dragons and such.

     

    However, project like that would be really long one for single modder.

    As you'd literally need to go through every dungeon, every cave, to make it really like it.

     

    Anyway, gladly looking forward to this subject.

     

    Also, font IS better than default one. It's really easy and pleasant to read it.

     

    Thank you, I'm glad someone agrees with me! It's post like this that inspire me to keep going, there is no point in trying to un-inspire a modder (espically a new one) with rude and/or unnecessary comments! If you don't like the idea, no one is making you post!

     

    I really don't plan on changing the dungeons and caves that much, I plan on changing the environment, the plants, the buildings, the sky, the lighting, the animals. It's going to be a lot of work, I know, but if TES has taught me anything, it's that every great journey has to start somewhere!

This is the SECOND time I've installed this mod into my game, with two totally separate load order and two totally separate downloads of this mod, and both times it made all the children in my game stand in the "Default T" position, only now it's doing it to my old people too. I don't get it, I've read the Read Me thoroughly, and tats ALL this mod does, even after uninstalling and deleting EVERY file associated with it, the issue still persists. And to add, it NEVER did what it was suppose to do in the first place! No matter what I did with, every character in the game still got whatever animations I added.

     

    I simply don't understand, this mod has in total costed me dozens of hours in forcing me to reinstall skyrim already, and I spent even LONGER installing skyrim this time around, and I'd really rather avoid doing a TOTAL re-install because of one rouge bad mod destroying my game.

     

    Can someone please explain to me what hidden aspect of this mod is doing this? I install the mod, activate the ridiculous number of ESPs, run the FNIS tool, and the mod doesn't work, or do anything at all, accept make my children and old people not move. Uninstalling the mod and deleting all associate files and running the FNIS tool again, does NOTHING.

     

    This is really starting to get frustrating, If I can't fix this, this will mean I've lost two painstakingly designed skyrim installs all because of one glitchy mod that doesn't even work.

  8. MAS Sky DEMO
    New updated Demo! Fixed the 'Black Grid' glitch permanently, now with two different planet sizes and 4 different planet colors to choose from! Customization is very important to me, so please feel free to make suggestions for new sizes/colors/etc!


    This is going to be my first major mod (and mod compilation) I'm going to be working on called
    "More Alien Skyrim"
    MAS - More Alien Skyrim:
    Have you ever thought, that for such a distant alien world, Nirn is an awful lot like earth? It's a magical alien fantasy world, with crazy gods and demons ripping holes in the universe, yet skyrim feels like... well, kinda like Montana. Big mountains, big bears, and lots of wolves, and then the occasional hairy troll. Nothing to crazy about it. Morrowind really felt like an alien world, with the cries of 100 foot high insect like creatures echoing across the mushroom covered mountains. Artificial moons, gigantic mechanical gods buried in volcanoes, flying jellyfish like creatures gently hovering across the skyline. It really felt... otherworldly. Comparatively skyrim is just... well... boring. So, this is my attempt at making skyrim much less... boring.

    MAS is going to be a type of 'overhaul' for skyrim, changing the LOOK and FEEL of the game without adding/changing much if any 'content'. This will make Skyrim feel more ALIEN, and more FREIGHTING. It will make you feel like you are truly stranded on a strange frightening alien world. The idea, is to leave you breathless, either in aww, or fear, as often as possible. I highly doubt I can hand do all this by myself, so anyone who wants to let me use their resources, or assist me in creating new ones PLEASE contact me. I intend to make this mod more of a compilation of resources, that other people can change and use easily, and anything I create for this mod will be completely free resources. The ENB section will obviously clash with ENBs, the lighting will clash with lighting, and the textures will clash with textures, etc. So any aspect you don't want should be easy enough to avoid.

    I would LOVE to have at least an alpha version ready by the time the Oculus Rift finishes shipping out! I want this to look stunning for Rift users specifically!


    this is what will EVENTUALLY be including in the MAS project.
    MAS ENB:
    I dynamic, vibrant ENB that will make skyrim feel alive, yet intensely different.Ideally I'd like help from an 'ENB expert.'
    Progress: Learning about ENBs may have a demo out within a week or so!

    MAS Lighting and Sky 'Overhaul':
    No word yetting on the lighting side of this, but so far I have a downloadable demo of this part of this mod! (At the top of the page - can't miss it!)

    MAS Super Texture Conversion:
    This is likely the final stage of this mod, converting nearly every texture in skyrim to make it feel totally otherworldly. This includes animals, armor, plants, etc. Ideally I'd like it to be a lot like Tropical Skyrim, but with the end result feeling more like Morrowind.
    Progress: STARTED! MAS NATURE IS NOW IN WIP STAGE!!

    POSSIBLE Future Mas Projects:

    MAS Magic:
    I simple change to all vanilla magic, to make it feel more otherwordly, like you are truly bending the powers of some weird alien world to your will, not just magically spraying fire from your fingertips.

    MAS Monsters:
    May end up including the monster textures in this, in addition to any new monsters I can get a hold of (since I doubt I can ever actually make my own monsters in skyrim) I intend to make the monsters of skyrim feel truly otherwordly.

    MAS Dragons:
    Part of me just wants to turn dragons into big scary alien monsters...

  9. I use the same body mod you do, and a TON of face/skin mods, and I still get that glitch on occasion, I'm not sure if it's possible to add the effect INTENTIONALLY though to be honest. A lot of people joke about it being a draugr STD, so go live in a tomb for a couple years and see what happens? :whistling:

     

    But really, It's likely a conflict with face tents, if you have anything that adds/changes things on the face (like dirt, complexion, war paint, etc. ) it could easily be interfering with it.

     

    I can say, this glitch isn't as cool as it sounds, it disappears randomly at weird angles and can be seen behind your head, trails really weird, and does really weird stuff when you put on hoods or open helmets. XD

  10. It looks fantastic, but looking at that last screenshot, there seems to be a general lack of shadows, aspecially on the grass in the right part of the picture. Or maybe I´ve just forgotten how skyrim looks, it´s been a while since I played it. Will probably reinstall just for this mod anyhow :smile:

    Lack of shadows is likely an ENB thing, I believe he said he is using an ENB, and he likely lightened the shadows to make the world seem more vibrant and colorful. ^_^

  11. I remember in Oblivion, you could use the racemenu console command and design your character, then use another console command to create a duplicate of yourself, making a new NPC. I just wanted to knwo if something similar to this is possible in Skyrim?

     

    This could be the wrong forum, but I think console commands fall under mods, kinda.

Not to bash on UFO, but I've had it corrupt my save files more then other mod I've downloaded (I download mostly mods I know WONT corrupt my save files though) AFT is alright, It makes my followers get naked more often then I'd like :whistling: Otherwise it works great, and can do most things you'd want it to do, including make followers vampires and werewolves. It manages to do a lot, while still being very basic in how it does, nothing over-complicated. Maybe I have a weird version, but I have to cast spells on people who aren't followers to make them followers, and it kinda sucks immersion wise,("Hey how are you? *hits with spell* HOw bout we do some adventuring?" - "I don't know why but I'm suddenly compelled to join you!!") ;D but it's no big deal.

  13. My line up for making these kinds of changes is, this is just edited from my L/O so you'll forgive me if it's hard to tell what some stuff is. I feel these work very well together though, Skyrim really feels "real" to me with these mods. Frostfall is actually at the core of all these. I see you already use several of them, but In my opinion, that means the ones on this list you don't use already should be better suggestions! :biggrin:

  14. Perhaps as Massa won't have a mesh it'll simply depend on the resolution of the texture?

     

    If the mod you have actually changes anything within CK then in CK click Data then select the mod and click the details option - it'll tell you what the mod adjusts.

    I know this isn't the case, the texture I am using is over 4 times the size of the vanilla one, but is the same size in game, and the mod I mentioned makes it bigger without changing the texture.

I'd like to point out this is for personal use, and I do not intend to re-upload this, so the author of this mod needn't worry about anything.

  15. My number one suggestion - Please don't make the mod be like 3 gigabytes in size. It's almost impossible for me to download mods of this size from this site, because for some reason things I download from the nexus like to "drop" after about 30 minutes of downloading, where it acts like it finished downloading, but instead I get a corrupt zip file. Because of this, it's impossible for me to get the current best "NPCs mod" I've tried on around 5-6 occasions to get it with no luck.
