  1. Just saying - Akatosh and Lorkhan are brothers, not the same deity, and Lorhkan was killed by Akatosh a long long long long long time ago. Morrowind tells a pretty good bit of that story, and what it doesn't tell can be discovered by looking up stories on the heart of Lorkhan.

One of the few meta-statements we have indicates otherwise. Kirkbride has said, point of fact, that Lorkhan and Akatosh, in absolute terms, are the same being. As with all divine entities, mortals view them through different lenses, but the brothers myth is just the mortal mind failing to understand the true complexity of Akatosh and Lorkhan. At best, mortals could view them as a 2 headed dragon, the heads constantly fighting amongst eachother, but even that is lost in the mythic stores discribing them/him/it as seperate beings.

The simple fact the Lorkhan's heart physically existed on nirn was destroyed by the naravarine (Spellcheck) makes me think they are at least separate beings in some sense, it's possible they WERE one being, and split apart from one another at some point. The general idea of them being "The same being" could also simply mean they are twins, and may not be meant to be taken literally.

it could be possible that Lorkhan and Akatosh USE to be one much more 'mighty' divine, that split into two before the begging of time or something. The way I see the two of them though, I simply can't make logical sense of the great deal of story and lore put into their back and forth if they are suddenly magically the same being.

The story of Lorkhan's heart was always one of my favorite TES stories, and akatosh and lorkhan always brought to mind two giant dragons tangled together, not necessarily 'two headed' but still bound as one, and when Lorkhan broke free from Akatosh, it... displeased him. And we should all know what happened next.

I really don't think anyone, probably even on the TES team could say for sure(well at least not without a staff meeting). I think it was left intentionally vague though.

  2. What is the most effective way to install massive amounts of mods, that is safe and will create the least issue when I go to test them?

Well, probably not what you want to hear, but carefully, and one at a time. I have an insane amount of mods in my game, well over 100 (in fact I lost count at 100) and they work well together because I took lots and lots of time making sure every one I wanted fit together, and if one didn't fit with another, I looked for an alternative that did.

As for order, this doesn't really matter that much, but still, I'll give you some advice.

Re-Texture - Doesn't matter. At all. I have probably around 70-100 texture mods IN ADDITION too my 150-200 mods, these have almost no effect on the game whatsoever, though I do suggest installing them ONE AT A TIME and double and triple checking that everything hit it's mark in game, if you see anything our of place and purple, it means you broke something. You do these one at a time to make it easy to track down the culprit if you break something. If you install 20 of them at the same time, jump in game, and there's giant purple blocks flying in the sky around white run, you're going to have a bad day.

Lighting - ENBs are best installed either first, to make sure everything you install works with it, or last, to pick one that works with everything you installed. If you use something like CoT be VERY careful, as most ENBs will not work with CoT and similar mods. lighting/weather mods do NOT play nice together 90% of the time, and that few that do say they do.

Custom Area - almost irrelevant, install them all at the same time so you don't goof and put two things in the same area. if any of them are close to one another, install them one by one, and double check in game between each one.

Systems - FIRST. FIRST. FIRST. This matters. I have Skyrin Redone installed in my game, and I had to do a total reinstall because I installed it to lat ein my game and it got really buggy. Install anything that overhauls game mechanics BEFORE YOU EVER STARTS YOUR FIRST CHARACTER (Or any character you want to use/save/keep/etc) once installed, do EXTENSIVE testing in game to make sure everything worked well. This are the most likely mods to break your game. Lastly, NEVER uninstall mods like Skyrim Redone, this rips your characters to shreds, and for the most part makes them unrecoverable, no matter how carefully you go through the process. Basically, make DAMN sure you have the one you want before you continue on and install other mods, that is why you do these kind first.

SkyTools - whenever works, these have minimal impact on game mechanics.

Sounds - again, whenever works, though sounds can be glitchy, I'd double check that they work when you install them or risk having 'dud mods', as some sound mods simply don't start working when installed for some reason.

Animations - not to important, as long as they are installed before you start your character everythign should run smooth, most issues with animations come from getting them to work properly, I personally use FNIS, PCEA, and maybe 3 animation mods, the more you have, the more they lag, and the more often you get the 'flying T' pose for a split second when an actor changes animations.

Small Game Patches - Right after you install big patches and system overhauls, install these, again, check check and double check that things worked right in game. The 'unoffical' patches for skyrim, dawnguard, etc. all are in great working shape and conflict with ALMOST nothing, so if those are the only ones like this you are installing, then simply popping in the game one quick time to make sure the sky isn't purple or something random and stupid should do the trick.

New Weapon's & Armor - last. Not really important, but physical additions to the game should be done last. THOUGH it's important to note that anything that edits any leveled lists should be installed as early as possible, (like SkyMoMo or Immersive Armors) and should ALWAYS be carefully watched to not edit the same lists, if two mods edit the same list, things can get wonky. Mostly, one just overwrites the other, but that's still an issue. If you install anything that adds more then just a few items, pop in game to check that everything looks right and isn't invisible, or purple. Really, you could just install 40 mods like this and check them all at once, as long as they don't touch the leveled list.

One last reminder, every single mode in your load order slows your game down, it doesn't matter how tiny it is, but every single one of them has to be scanned, read, ordered, etc, and the more you have, the longer it will take to bring up your game on the initial load. despite having basically instant load screens in game, it takes me about 2 minutes to load up my game when I first load up a character. So avoid mods that add TONS of esp files if possible, and and lean towards ones that bundle everything up into one simple easy esp.

And if you find yourself wondering when to check in game, picka number, say 5, and install 5 mods, and keep the zips for those mods in a special place separate from all the others installed and uninstalled, and then after you hit the number you picked, go in game, check the mods, if everything cleared, move them to your 'installed' folder. It's always great to have a folder with the zips of all your installed mods, I use to delete them, and this turned out to be pretty stupid on my part. :whistling:

    Anyways, hope my rambling helped!

  3. pictures look sick. But we need apropriate fauna for such mod. Should I say dinos?

This makes me think of the triceratops from SKYMOMO... and that makes me think "OHGODNO"

as long as they don't look like giant toy dinosaurs though, I suppose it could work. I'd like to see a freakishly giant spinasaurous or something coming stomping at me, that'd be a nice change from dragons.

  4. I can say that I've never heard of the graphics card, what led you to pick that one? it has a good chunk of memory, but just to look a the card looks flimsy, and I've had radeon cards die within 3 months of purchasing them on more then one occasion. Sometimes going for the 'biggest numbers for your money' can be a bad idea, but you never know, all cards are different.

Me personally, if I am buying one in the ~$200 range, I would go for an Nvidia every time, especially if I am buying for skyrim. The one I purchased is HUGE but it outpowers cards around twice it's price. I spent about $1,100.00 on my computer (excluding the monitor/keyboard/mouse, which was about another $350.00) and I've seen $2,000.00 systems that don't do much better then mine besides faster file transfers. And I mean, who really wants to pay $200 more to have files transfer 30% faster?

I can tell you this much about your system though.

Processor - Big enough, hands down, anything bigger is just wasted space, you may seem some slight improvement and speed boosts, but it's just not worth unless you are doing something MORE taxing then gaming.

Ram - more then enough for most games, skyrim has a ram ceiling of 4gs I think, so 8 is more then enough, unless you are planning on doing music production. I can say however, that if the asrock motherboard is anything like mine, you'd be MUCH better off getting two sticks of ram then one, REGARDLESS of the size, I know I was informed by a rather experienced computer 'mechanic' that motherboards like mine live almost twice as long and are twice as effective if they have two sticks of ram in them for some reason. I don't know if just the fact that they are both Asrock means they are the same though, I know mine is a different model.

Also, what size hard drive do you have? This makes a difference, as the free space in your hard drive essentially makes your computer run faster (If you've ever loaded a hard drive full you'll see this often overlocked thing become VERY obvious) I got a 1tb hard drive and it's already approaching half full and I've only owned it for about.... 3 months?

And to anyone looking to buy a computer NEVEREVEREVEREVEREVER buy a pre-built gaming computer, even a $3,000.00 alien-ware is going to be bested by a $1,200.00 custom built computer every single time.

Use this to build your computer, hands down, the best, easiest, most user friendly way of picking every tiny detail of your computer and making sure it will work together! it even tells you if you make incompatible choices! I spent WEEKS using this site before deciding on my final build, and I only made 2 minor changes from the build I picked on this site, and that was so I could order all my parts from newegg. In my opinion the best sight for ordering computer parts, I received all my parts within 2 days of each other FAST, and they all worke dout of the box the first time, and have ever since!

    http://pcpartpicker.com/

You can even lnk people to your builds, they can make changes to it, and link it back to you! It's just awesome! I passed around my build list to probably 2 dozen people alltogether, every tiny bit of input counts!!

OOOHH, and ALWAYS go with windows 7 64bit!! 32bit has weird memory glitches and doesn't use past like, 4gigs, and windows 8 is AWFUL.

  5. Wow okay than i think im going to buy this hardware^^

Thank u all very much guys ;)

    And have a nice day^^

I'd like to point out for mine though, my graphics card is a beast, costing even more then my processor. That's were most of my gaming power comes from.

  6.

-It makes sense to become Lister if its your destiny since you are sithis incarnate, the hands of Padhome, a Ahezzarne, and Dragonborn. Avatar of Akatosh, Akatosh who is Lorkhan, Lorkhan who is the son of Sithis.

I do agree with the point though, I honestly felt like people UNDER reacted to you in the dark brotherhood, I would have loved to see an internal war break out, instead of one cheap assassination attempt.

Other then that though, I do wish the stories had been more 'fluff out', yeah, impossible circumstances do happen, but to happen 5 times in a row to the same person? Even for the dragonborn, that's a little silly. I feel like the magesguild could have been MUCH longer mostly.

I just hate that I can complete every main quest line in skyrim in under 30 hours, in oblivion that took close to 100 hours, and no matter how much better thought out the story is in skyrim, it is still unpleasantly short. In oblivion, I felt like I needed to make a new character to get through each quest line, in skyrim, I make a new character every time I finish every single questline back to back.

But, maybe I was just spoiled by morrowind, where it was impossible to do every quest line on the same character, and even all the ones you could do took almost 300 to complete with minimal side tracking.

And I would really like to have been able to be named high king myself. First time playing through I was a stormcloak, and I imagined myself betraying ulfric to claim skyrim as my own after completing the main quests. I mean, the way I felt, I had single handedly saved this land from destruction in several ways, I DESERVED to rule it. :whistling:

  7. Magic is worth sticking with, I personally really enjoyed magic in skyrim, once you get to high levels is very fun, but it takes a lot of intelligence and planning to use right, you can't just rush in on a whim, you have to be prepared for anything, and set up a battle strategy, etc.

I personally like the Apocalypse spell package for mods, it's pretty fun.

  8. Not to far off from my RIG, and my computer nas never left anything to be desired. I play skyrim on ultrahigh, I have over 35 gigs in mods installed, mostly texture mods, I use CoT and an ENB, and have almost no lag. I can also play metro 2033 on the highest settings with no lag,

Processor: Intel Core i5-3450 Ivy Bridge 3.1GHz Quad Core

    Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3

    Motherboard: ASRock B75M-GL LGA 1155 Intel B75 SATA 6Gb/s

    Graphics Card: EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16

Soundcard: ASUS Xonar DS 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI

I an sat though, that the ASRock motherboard is the weak point of my machine, I wish I had spent a bit more on it and a bit less on my keyboard/mouse/monitor.

  9. i see, but i bet most people were doing it before installing the mod. kekeke.

.... Thanks for proving my point?

If your doing something just for the hell of it, adding a mod that makes it an important part of the game is the logical next step, this is why modding exists. :ermm: I'm really confused why you are so against the idea of a mod that does something a lot of people want done. That's just..... silly.

  10. Pretty much what I've been doing so far, but I just can't seem to get it down. As for the computer, I'm pretty sure I'm fine. Skyrim runs perfect with enbs and hd textures. I've got the textures, and the trees and grass. I think mostly what I need help with is an enb and lighting. Just can't seem to find one to suit my fancy. I'm open to any suggestions, and I'll check out climates of tamerial.

For the most part, no one can help you pick what you like! ^_^ Only you can do that. It's all a matter of trial and error, I went through 4-5 different lighting mods and damn near a dozen ENBs before I found the ones I really liked that didn't have serious impacts on the game (giant black auras around my character and inverted colors indoors to name a few)

Climates of Tamriel (Which includes realistic lighting) and a customized version of the 'cinematic' ENB you can download in the optional files for it.

  11. Alright, as of right now, this is the last 'major' issue I am having with skyrim *knock on wood* So I'd like to try and solve it. My moons, (and occasionally my sun) have this god awful.... light to them. It's so bright that even barely glimpsing it in the sky can blur out everything else on the screen. Honestly, if it was just the sun, I'd kinda like it, but when my moon glows 10 times brighter then my sun, it's a little immersion breaking. I have replacers for pretty much everything in the sky, but this showed up when I replaced the moons, I have sense removed all the new textures for the moon replacements, yet the issue is not effected.

This issue is two sided, one object in the sky always glows horribly like the first below, another has a giant streak like the second image, and if there is a third (In the case of the sun and both moons being in the sky) one is unaffected.

Could this be an ENB issue? If so, what should I do about it?

  12. It takes a LOT of trial and error to get something that works, and that you like. You need to find a good weather and/or lighting mod (I personally like CoT) a good ENB that works with whatever weather/lighting mod you selected, and from there you need to replace every texture you can find with a high-res one that is to your liking. This is assuming your computer can handle being pushed, 'epic visuals' really aren't possible unless you have a computer that can already run skyrim on it's highest setting like it's nothing. Well, they are, but you choices are very limited, and they don't look as good.

2k Textures is a good place to starts, and lush trees + lush grass makes the world look better.

Trying searching the phrase 'real' and you will come across a lot of good realistic visual mods and realism mods.

  13. I was under the impression PCEA simply made it so that new animations were only applied to new races, if I use any vanilla race my new animations are not applied, but if I use any new mod added race, they are.

Nah. The player race still use the default animation paths for everyone, but each vanilla races are separated into their own animation paths. This is why PCEA requires the user to download a custom race, because then, no vanilla NPCs will be able to use animations specific to the player race if PCEA is installed correctly.

Alright uninstalling them and re-installing them seems to have fixed the issue, I don't know which was causing the issue, but I'm not gonna question it, I'm just glad it's fixed.

Now I just have to fix my shining moon glitch.

  14. i don't really get frostfall. does having a mod tell you when and how to rp setting up a camp actually add anything.

Um... yes? It makes it a necessary part of the game, by that logic, why even make mods, why not just pretend the game is modded the way you want? Camping is an important part of frostfall for a reason, and most people aren't going to take the time to set up a camp just to role play it, but making it part of a working system with rules and reasons make it so you have to think about wear you put your camp so that you can keep warm, and away from danger, and if you have an eating/drinking mod close to a river for water.

And the camping isn't even the part I enjoy about frostfall, to me the 'exposure' aspects at 'wear' effects are by far the most immersive, so that you can't go running around in winterhold in your forsworn loincloth and survive, and so that falling in cold water can be lethal, instead of being able to swim for 30 minutes in arctic water with no draw back or effect whatsoever.

  15. PCEA comes with something like 10 esp's because it separates the animation files directory path for each race (the esp redirects the game to look for the animations files in the appropriate paths). So you can't just install the PCEA plugin for one race, you have to use them all. This may be the reason why the children animations are messed up. You should reinstall PCEA, run FNIS again, and see if it fixes (at least some of) your children animation issues.

I was under the impression PCEA simply made it so that new animations were only applied to new races, if I use any vanilla race my new animations are not applied, but if I use any new mod added race, they are.

Also, I installed PCEA around 2-3 months BEFORE this issue started showing up, so unless it's an EXTREMELY delayed reaction I do not think FNIS and PCEA are related. and like I said, I uninstalled and re-installed to the newest version of FNIS already, and it did nothing.

I installed a number of pose mods a while back, and then uninstalled them, and this error popped up around about then. Since I have totally uninstalled all these mods, I don't know how to resolve the issue further.

EDIT: I'm going to uninstall and update to the newest versions of both PCEA and FNIS, just in case. I needed to update date them both anyways.

  16. I'm sure there will be plenty of people attempting this once the sdk is out, not sure how easy it will be considering skyrim is on a Bethesda proprietary engine rather than one of the supported engines (unity, unreal).

To be frank the S3D part is easy if you're happy with a driver hack, but for proper VR you need properly integrated support for the motion sensors for the head tracking (not just mouse emulation) and that might be a sticking point... at least I think that will be the main dividing line between functional OR support and terribad part-support.

And thats not even mentioning the UI problems and other such design considerations, though that is something that could be modded I guess.

To be frank, I don't think we'll ever see good support for the OR in already released games like Skyrim unless the developer specifically makes an OR version.

Well OR has probably the best head tracking for any VR system to date, it is miles ahead of every other VR on the market and it can be supported by any game that can support 3D on it's own, and that can apply an in game effect for the head tracking (which skyrim has already been confirmed, I'm not sure if it was done by bethesda or the OR team, but skyrim, L4D, Mirrorsedge, Doom 3, and Hawking are the most anticipated games already confirmed to be supported by it. And there is no question as to the 'realism' of this VR, like I said, it is unlike ANYTHING on the market, every other attempt at VR has been decent at best, so I understand your skepticism. But the fact is, OR is genuinely a very effect VR which any game can be adapted to work with. Some, like Mirror's Edge are obviously going to get more out of it then others, but still. I don't see see how rereleasing skyrim for OR specifically would even make any important changes, for the most part as long as 3D and head tracking are integrated, the OR can fit perfectly into any existing game, although developing a special controller for it would help the immersion, I personally don't mind just using my PS3 controller like always.

Anyways, basically what I was suggesting, is new 1st person mods designed to enhance realism and immersion. I do agree it would be much easier to do once it comes out, but there's no reason someone wouldn't want to get a head start on it. :whistling: I know if I was a modder, that's what I'd be doing.

  17. This seems most likely to be related to FNIS (since you are using PCEA, you are/should be obviously using FNIS). The thing is, you are missing FNIS plugins, and you also seem to be missing most of the PCEA plugins. They need to reinstalled, correctly, unless, of course, you've actually (tried to) uninstalled all the animation related mods from your setup, in which case, you missed 2 PCEA plugins.

The other thing I noticed is that....that can't be your 'load order.' The SkyHair esm is loading way at the bottom. No esm loads after esp's anyway, but clearly the load order needs to be run through BOSS.

    Hope this helps.

Your right on the load order, thats a derp on my part, I copied the wrong file, that's from another install of skyrim I'm trying to find my current install now, lol.

Two things to point out about that though, I have uninstalled most of the 'ninja' mods, and I think I updated FNIS and just never added the new to that list (thats were I keep my installed animation zips)

I still use the momo jump, and the khajiit cat sprint (and PCEA so guards don't chase after me running like a cat) I also kept the martial arts installed. I uininstalled all my 'pose mods' simply because I hated having like 30 rings in my inventory for 2 mods. I kept the ones that operated through just one simple spell though.

  18. DYNAVISION but not IMAGINATOR? I never use dynavision, and imaginator is basically essential to me, but I also use CoT and an ENB, which essentially renders dynavision useless. I personally think the two of them together should be essential, if you figure out how to use both, it makes ENBs unnecessary. While you can't achieve the WOW effect without them, you no longer need them to make skyrim look totally stunning.

I personally think that the MOST essential mod for skyrim is Frostfall, since installing it, Skyrim itself seems like an enemy, which is the way I believe it was meant to feel. This combined with 'wet and cold' and the new footprints mod bring an extreme amount of realism to skyrim, it really is stunning how these mods work together to make skyrim feel like a real... and very dangerous place.

That's really all the input I have.

EDIT: oh, the new RaceMenu mod, I only JUST installed this mod, but it makes building my character fun again, it use to be a chore on skyrim. I get more options for designing my character on saints row the third then vanilla skyrim.

  19. I have a similar issue. I used a Guard Armor repalcer but after uninstalling they move like the children do in your game, except they ain´t got heads and I cannot disable them through console, they´re still there. And some Whiterun Guards are either naked or headless Imperial soldiers.

weird. o.O My children still have heads and hands and they even talk and try to do their AI packages (Two kids fighting over some septims in whiterun comes to mind) but they just stand there in that weird position and don't move. it's very creepy actually lol. I msotly avoid towns because of this.

Oddly, I haven't installed any mods that effect children at all.

  20. This combines with 'Joy of Perspective' would make for a very realistic feel for anyone using the Oculus Rift when it comes out.

As for the view obstruction, it gives helmets a downside, if you want to see clearly, don't wear a helmet. :whistling:
