  1. Alright, I KNOW this is an issue with the moonshadow, but I can't seem to figure out how to fix it. The general problem is the mod that makes Massar look like Saturn makes Secunda transparent. This is very annoying, and the only way I can fix this is to delete the moonshadow.dds from the textures/sky folder, which then puts a GIANT black circle around Massar/Saturn.

     

    Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

  2. I tend to have this issue a LOT with ENBs, it PLAGUES me, no matter which one I use, or how heavily I edited, SOMETHING always causes inverted colors somewhere. At first it would just do it with really dark blacks, but Imaginator helped me to fix that through contrast editing.

     

    However, anything that applies effects to the screen like night eye eye or predator vision still create inverted colors.

     

    I just wanted to know if anyone know of good ENBs that are less likely to cause this kind of issue? I use a highly customized version of "Seasons of Skyrim" right now.

     

    Also, is there an "General ENB support thread"? I've noticed a lot of people tend to have issues with ENBs, you would think such a thread would exist, but I've kept an eye out for it and have never seen one.

I personally feel it is very important, and it does add a realistic shake, much more and it would become unrealistic, by vision doesn't shake dramatically when I walk in real life, why should it in a video game? If I run in real life it starts to shake, and with TJOP your vision becomes very shake while sprinting, I feel it is very realistic. But we are all entitle to our own opinions. I don't know of any mods that effect camera shake specifically though, sorry. I don't know if Skyrim is even capable of that with the way the camera is designed as a fixed nod. Try searching the phrase "cam" or "camera" in the nexus if you haven't already.

  4. Actually, I think I may have tracked down the issue thanks to TES5EDIT, I installed the LIGHT version of RRR, and I have the dwanguard/dragonborn patches for it, which list the FULL version of RRR as dependent.

     

    I can't believe it was something so stupidly simple, I spend like 20 minutes putting this thread together and figure it out in like 2 minutes thanks to TES5EDIT.

  5. This is extremely infuriating, NOTHING should be wrong with my L/O, yet I can't even launch the game. I have no idea what the hell is wrong or what to do because everything says nothing is wrong.

    The ONLY issue I see is that update ESM shows up in BOSS, but not my load order. This is really confusing, and I don't understand why it isn't. Manually editing update.esm into my plugins.txt does nothing, and it simply disappears after I launch the game and it CTDs.

     

    Running TES5EDIT gives me an error, with this being the final message.

    I'm not sure what this means, or how to handle it? Did I install something wrong? I've installed hundreds, if not thousands of mods, but I suppose I could have made an error.

  6. Sometimes "up to date" isn't "best and working" The most up to date drivers for my sound AND video card don't work as good as some sightly older ones, in fact, the most up to date one for my sound card really messes up windows 7 for some reason.

     

    Not saying that is the issue, but you never know. The drivers could have also installed incorrectly. But, if it was a driver problem, you would be experiencing when listening to ANY sound, not just skyrim.

  7. ALL mods are free, if someone made you pay for a mod, they ripped you off and you should send them an angry email. (accept official DLC, ofcoarse, Hearthfite, Dragonborn, Dawnguard - these are not mods though - they're DLC) there are the three "High res texture packs" from bethesda, but these don't compare to high-res mods.

     

    And there really aren't any 'graphic overhauls' you can pick a lighting mod like Climates of Tamriel, or Realistic Lighting Overhaul (CoT is waaaaay better in my opinion, but RL is good if you want something very minimal that is still noticable) then grab an "ENB" if your computer can handle it, which one is up to you, I personally made my own by combining three others. My favorite is Seasons of Skyrim. Most ENBs don't work with most lighting mods, so double check that they are compatible.

     

    best that, texture mods are your friend. I personally like "2k Textures" combine with "Lush Grass" and "Lush Trees" these combined with with a lighting mod and an ENB make skyrim feel like TES: 6

    Are you wanting yugioh cards? Are you really expecting for someone to have already made some random obscure yugioh monster people who play yugioh don't even know exists to be modded into a game that has nothing to do with yugioh? Do you realize the kind of effort that would have to go into making a mod like this? Is there any reason your posting your message in quotes? Is there any reason you linked to the same page twice two lines apart?

     

    I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just really confused.

     

    Also, if a Yugioh monster was added into skyrim,I could think of dozens I would put before meteor b dragon, namely King Dragun or Malefic Red-Eyes or one people have actually heard of, which is probably the most badass of them all. (only reason Yugioh players deny it's badass is BECAUSE everyone has heard of it) Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon

     

    Blue-eyes and red-eyes are probably the most easily put into skyrim, as you could just re-texture any old dragon into them.

  9. I remember a mod for Oblivion that essentially made your character look like a "mech suit" - I think it was based of some other video game. They looked more like Robotech mechs then gundams, but more stylized and humanoid.

     

    I was just wondering if anyone knew of any mods like this for Skyrim?

    I was working on a "real beast races" mod a while back, but kinda gave up because of the difficulty behind making these exact kind of feet. I really an mostly interesting in created more 'fuzzy' beast races myself though.

     

    I have almost no experience, but I have an internet and I know how to use it. :P

If you have the newest SkyUI and the newest version of frsotfall, you can deeply costumizable frostfall, so that you freeze slower, don't die from cold (just get waaaay weaker and slower) and you can turn WEAR off, so that your gear doesn't effect anything. There is also a "Check gear" spell that should be available even without SkyUI that should let you manually change each type of armor piece (For example Steelplated Gauntlets) to have a higher or lower WEAR rating.

     

    Frostfall takes a lot of tweaking to get it to work best. Remember, LOCATION effects you more then anything. If you are near winterhold or windhelm, you will die from cold much much MUCH faster then if you are near Riften, if there is a blizzard, that amount increases again pretty dramatically. I personally like Frostfall to be brutal and relentless, but I can see were it makes the game a pain to play sometimes. Thats why Options where created though!

  12. I'm having some trouble with this, the body of my Beast Race characters magical disappears when I remove my armor while in first person with the Joy of Perspective. This first started with the khajiit and argonians, but when I downloaded and installed Dagi-Khajiit mod, it shared the same issue, so I'm starting to believe it has something to do with the beast race skeleton. Everything appears normal when I have armor equipped, but it is very immersion breaking should I end up with no armor on for whatever reason.

     

    So far I'm getting pretty good at getting this 'wonky' mod to work cleanly with my game, I have a total of well over 100 mod added armors converted to fit it (about 15 of them done manually by hand) But I can't seem to figure out how to get beast races to be supported properly.

     

    I just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on how to get this working? Ideally, something that works for both genders. I tend to play as beast races a lot, and this is currently detouring me away from it.

    if you dont want it - as with everything on nexus - dont download it. soapboxing about how someone else plays their own game is remarkably judgmental.

     

    I agree totally, a quick glance through this thread made me want to smack a half dozen or so people. Sense when has something being 'broken' ever meant it shouldn't be made? it's just downright moronic and selfish, if you don't want a mod, no one is forcing you to download it at gunpoint.

     

    I personally think TWO rings is PERFECT. Hell, Skyrim also took away greeves, Oblivion took away countless enchantment slots, any one remember having left and right gloves, left and right pauldrens, being able to wear clothes + armor. Don't forget being able to cast a a permanent "Summon" enchantment on rings, giving you a follower forever you could resummon for free by unequipping and requipping the item

     

    SO I think ONE more ring slot is not the tiniest bit broken or unfair.

    Hm, just had a totally crazy thought: Is it possible to put an item in the player's inventory, and force it to be equipped, without it showing up in their inventory? Making a skull "mask" that is forced onto the player when they become a lich could be a quick, easy, albeit rather dirty method of applying a different look to the lich.

     

    Or better yet: Since the player will be forced to wear their phylactery while a lich, maybe the mesh could be updated to include both amulet and mask? I have no idea if that would play well with head movements though -- maybe someone up on meshes and such could provide some insight?

    I imagine you could create an entire 'lich suite' (Or just the mask) that equips automatically and into the normal slots, but have the inventory image just SHOWN as an amulet (or some other object) since the inventory image doesn't have to match what it actually equips as. Just leave "amulet" ticked as an equip slot, and you probably don't even have to add the amulet itself into the mesh displayed on the character if you don't want to.

  15. @Voltage_Joe: Lichdom is being implemented (at least for now) as a series of abilities, not as a technical race change. The transformation will prohibit the already-undead from becoming a lich (so vampires can't become one), but not werewolves. As for going the other way, becoming a vampire requires contracting a disease; liches are immune to disease, however, so you cannot become a vampire as a lich. On the other hand, becoming a werewolf or a vampire lord is a quest, and as such a lich can achieve those transformations.

     

    I have no plans at this time to change any of this; if you feel a werewolf-lich or vampire lord-lich is over-powered, well, don't become both.

     

    @ArtMurder: Sounds pretty cool. Unfortunately, I don't think my mod will give you quite the jumping-off point you're looking for here -- you're basically creating a cursed item that imparts several abilities (not all of them beneficial, I'm assuming), whereas I'm creating one heckuva magic spell/quest to do similar. I think what you're looking to do here is pretty dang sweet, I just think you'd be better off starting from scratch (although I'd be happy to offer my help answering questions and suggesting solutions to any problems you may encounter).

     

    As for first person/third person, the only time I force one or the other (third-person) is if the player decides to drink the Elixir of Endless Night (try it and find out what happens, if you're curious :wink: ), although the game engine does force third-person upon the lich transforming into a nether lich. There's unfortunately no real difference, visually, between being a lich and being... whatever you were before. Becoming a nether lich, the only difference is you become a literal "ghost" of your former glory (i.e. you're reduced to being 75% transparent). So first person will be no different as a lich/nether lich to what you're familiar with now (I myself play in first-person all the time as well); I have no idea how well Joy of Perspective will handle the transparency of a nether lich, but worst case is you'll still be looking down your non-transparent cleavage I'd imagine.

    Hmm, alright, I see. I might actually be able to get most of my resources from vanilla skyrim though, so that's okay, I can look into the normal werewolf/vampire lord transformation, take some bits from the azura star quest, maybe look into how you handle the "coming back to life" bit, and then the rest I can just do through trial and error. I can probably get permission to use some really cool armor from someone, and just edit it to look like ice, and use that as the 'lich' form. I imagine I could track down an hourglass mesh somewhere for the "cursed artifact", and making it blue should be simple enough.

     

    And I was under the impression your mod made it so you were controlling a dragon priest after you died, and I don't see how THAT would work in first person, but if you are just transparent, as long as it's just a shader, it should work just fine for tjop, I know "get wet/snowy" works just fine in first person with that mod, as does the black shadow goo from the ebony mail.

     

    If nothing else, seeing this mod coming together really inspired me. I would like to see if I can make it so the artifact reacts different if you are already a lich when you get it. I dunno if I can do that though, I'm pretty limited with my modding abilities.

  16. I came across this mod a while back, and i decided I want to see if there is anything I can do to help. I might people able to wright some of the books, I have a very good imagination for writing, but I tend to have some minor grammar errors from time to time... EDIT: I am also GREAT at hiding s#*&#33;, in fact the only mod I ever made was one for Morrowind where I made a special armor set that made it os you basically where invincible if you had all the pieces, and hid them in the most insane, off the wall impossible to find places. As far as I know, no one ever found them.... XD It would make since for at least one the pieces of the journal to be 'lost' and next to impossible to find.

     

    But, I wanted to ask if I could assist in making a different 'type' of lich, or at least be given permission to try and make it myself from this mod. I have a character concept I designed for Oblivion ages ago, and have been redesigning for skyrim since it fits it more. It's a sort of... 'Ice lich'. Instead of being like a normal lich, it's more of a curse of the living tundra of skyrim, a relic that clings to people, turning them into frozen undead monstrosities. Instead of making yourself a lich, you would encounter an exceptionally powerful 'ice lich', and upon killing it (twice - It's a lich) when you touch his deceased corpse, an object would 'cling' to you, effectively replacing it with you, as an incarnated form of skyrim's frozen hell. You could then either go through a large amount of effort to have this artifact removed from you by priests (Which could make for some interesting quests, something like the azura star quest comes to mind, only you would be killing the ultimate form of the lich dwelling inside you now.) or you could simply enjoy your new found power.

     

    This wouldn't be all that much different from a normal lich, accept that once you die, instead of becoming weaker, you actually become stronger, as the horrid being hiding inside the artifact overtakes your body. However, the weakness to fire would become so great that staying in this form for long would be an incredible risk - one fire mage and you aren't likely to survive. The visual appearance would be different as well, it would appear frozen over, and be shrouded in a large cloud of 'ice fog'.

     

    These are all ideas I've had since the lich mod for Oblivion, and I would love to see them worked into Skyrim, even if I have to do it myself. :whistling:

     

     

    Oh, and one last question, how does the lich form act in first person? I'm basically trying to remove third person from my game alltogether, and I use the joy of perspective, and I can't imagine these mix to well with the final lich form. Though, I can see a logical reason behind why you would be in third person in the final lich form, as you are basically outside of your body anyways.
