  1. Well now. There is a rather interesting way of putting it...... A creator doesn't want to give up all of his rights to his own work, and you are calling it "nerd rage"? Seriously???
  2. this is not necessarily the answer. are you authorized by staff ? and so far i have not agreed to the new tos. this change is new for me and to me it sounds not fair. as far is i know i have time until at least the 5 th of August to make up my mind. this kind of short ultimatium feels not right and surprises me. they are the answers. I get you don't like them, but thats not my problem, it's yours. No i am not authorised by staff if i was my little avatar would have a shitty little blurb telling you. look closely - you'll see i'm just a regular nexusmods user. however, i did read the essay on these changes closely and the answers to the questions are contained in there. you obviously didn't read it closely otherwise you wouldon't be asking the questions, so consider this a helping hand from me, because you won't get one from anyone on the staff for two reasons; 1. they dont work weekends 2. they don't give a toss about you or your questions and owe you nothing. don't shoot the messenger. mkay? However then mind your own business and let the person get an answer from someone who is is charge and from your own words its not YOU. We aren't going to get any answers from staff, that we haven't already gotten. The terms are laid out very precisely in both the ToS, and, the PSA concerning file deletion. It doesn't take a genius to get answers to his questions, just need to be able to read.
  3. I just go thru and delete the excess files...... Keep the last few saves, nuke the rest.

You are assuming that the US armed forces would act against US citizens, on US soil. US law FORBIDS just such an occurrence. In order to use the military to quell any 'unrest', those laws would first need to be changed... A giant clue as to what was coming next. I would also point out, that the US Military, with all it's might, and technology, LOST the war in Afghanistan against folks no better armed than the average american citizen.
  5. That's because the hard limit is 255...... ESLs don't count toward that limit. The game *may* load with more than 255 active esp/esm files, but, you can end up with some REALLY strange behavior. (like, all your mods resetting each time you load a game... no matter how long you have been playing.) Trim your load list. Get below the hard limit. Merge some, change some to esl, etc.
  6. PC mods are available via that method as well. Need a Steam account linked to your Beth account to do so though. (or, maybe that was to UPload mods.....)

I cant say I disagree with the basics of what you wrote. However there is one recourse, though never used. While still highly unlikely given the nature of governors at present, Constitutional amendments can be made and approved by 3/4s of the states they can compel congress to propose amendments. Still might not pass but it would at least force, what I imagine is, a very unwanted vote. The electoral college issue is currently being worked around by states passing laws to give their electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote, not just their state's popular vote. Why do we directly elect every, single, other elected official but president? I also believe the US attorney general should be an elected position from a certain pool of candidates. Like certain qualifications should be met. 43 states elect their attorneys general. After a president is elected he and the opposition parties give a name, we go elect them. I think we have all seen what happens when the attorney general fails to maintain its independence. But ultimately, you are right. We have a system that expects the elected officials to behave a certain way and it falls apart when they don't. After Nixon, the things put in place should have been made law, not procedure. It should be laws not ethics. And yes, those in power will very likely never vote themselves out. Maybe my daughter is right when she says 'eat the rich?' Start with the lawyers. (most politicians started out life as lawyers....) :D I think your daughter is a very bright lady. :D Eventually, things will come to a head. We can't continue on the course we are currently on. I see several possibilities.... Civil war being the most likely, followed by, in no particular order, race riots, economic collapse, a third world war, (likely started by some military action involving China.....). There are probably other, equally unpleasant possibilities, but, those are what I think are the most like. At a guess, I would say Economic Collapse is a very close second likelihood.

Our political system has been broken for quite some time. The Citizens United decision was just one of the final coffin nails. Today, we have the 'best' government money can buy. And it is bought and sold on the open market every two years. We might just as well call ourselves what we really, in fact, are, an Oligarchy. The rich run the country. Maybe not directly, but darn close to it. Things NEED to change, but, the trouble with that is, the only folks that CAN change it, are the very same folks that benefit the most, from NOT changing it..... No one in congress is going to vote for term limits for their cushy job, they are not going to pass any kind of campaign finance reform, as that would take money OUT of THEIR pockets.... They aren't going to do anything about Citizens United, as that makes them rich..... etc. We have the system we are going to have until/unless we the people rise up, and FORCE change. It has gotten to the point that we are done to our last option, the cartridge box. Trouble is, americans in general, are too fat, dumb, and lazy, to stand up for themselves against their government. Now, at some point, some of the red states might push back hard enough, that the federal government will have to act. Last time that happened, was in the early 1860's.......
  9. OBSE is a godsend. A fair few mods depend on it, and my one co-published mod for oblivion requires it. It is safe, reliable, and stable. I love it. :D

Politicians have dignity? Wow. That's news to me. :D So far as I am concerned, they are ALL crooks, whose only interest is in themselves, and what is good for THEM, not America.
  11. Only if you win every fight. :D Keep in mind, the game only pays attention to the defense value of your settlement. You could give all of your settlers power armor, and miniguns, but, if your defense value is low, you will still lose almost every fight. (unless you are there before the fight ends.) In such a case, it doesn't matter where the workbench is, or how well defended it is, lost the fight, and you will lose resources.
  12. There are placed spawn points outside the vanilla settlement area. If you are there when the attack happens, that's where enemies start, and they move toward whatever target first presents itself. I think their priorities are things that shoot back first though.... (including settlers.) If you AREN'T there when the attack starts, then the game decides how far they have moved, and if you fast travel in, they can spawn pretty much anywhere. So far, I have not seen any trends in attackers spawning near any specific item..... And I think you only lose resources is you LOSE the fight......
  13. For your info the title of this thread is -> How to remove spells learned in legendary skyrim ^^ I swear that wasn't there when I posted. :D I don't think it really matters what the percent damage of an enchantment is, you are learning the affect, and when you enchant an item with that affect, (effect???) the amount it does is scaled by your level, your skill in enchantment, and the soul gem you use. So, if you find an item Sneak plus 20%, you have 100 in enchanting, use a grand soul gem, your created item will likely be more powerful than the one you destroyed to learn the affect.
  14. Prices on cards are coming back down. Granted, the MSRP at this point got jacked up a fair bit since the shortage. As the world returns to some semblance of "normal" after the pandemic, prices *should* come down even further. Maybe later this year, but, certainly next year. We can hope anyway. :D It's true. Finding sub 4-core processors these days, that you intend to use for gaming, are rarer than hens teeth. Maybe in an i5 flavor, but, I don't know of anyone that would recommend an i5 for a serious gaming rig. :D That said, Beth games run pretty well on older hardware. I newer vid card is probably the best investment for performance on those machines though.
  15. Have a read of this article. Apparently, which card is *better* depends on what resolution you want to play at.
  16. I run PANPC. (Pack Attack, NPC edition.) It is configurable, and can generate more enemies per square foot, than you can deal with, so, careful with the settings. :D It also makes your enemies a bit smarter..... and trickier. It really changed combat for me.
  17. Then add the Explosive Legendary effect. :D That would make for serious carnage. :D
  18. I don't have Oblivion installed on my machine any more. :) I have been thru a couple different rebuilds/upgrades since I last played it. :D I don't think I had to do anything special with the ini though, for it to work properly under windows. The whole capitalization thing *might* be a good trail to follow though, as Linux is indeed much more persnickety about such things. :D
  19. I don't know that any more than two cores have any advantage. Beth games are notorious for hardly being able to utilize two, let alone six, or more..... Granted, the system itself may be able to make use of the additional cores, but, the game itself really doesn't. I would expect that a Quad core should be the minimum though, and higher clock speed giving the most performance advantage.
  20. More is better, there is no such thing as too much. :D
  21. I think at least part of the problem is having an external utility capping frame rate. If you could convince the game itself to do so, I would like to think it would work better..... Is there an FOSE plugin for such a purpose?
  22. You *should* be able to cap the framerate at 30fps...... it will still be able to drop below that in really complex areas. Shouldn't be too much of an issue with your hardware though. I *think* there is an ini setting for it??
  23. Ah. Ok. Still, it is sad. I love the mod, that is rather cool. :D
  24. I *think* this is the same character? (lots of images up for her......) Check it out.

@Colourwheel: I suspect you are quite correct. Trump will only be satisfied by regaining his position of power.... @xrayy: Trump is too much of a narcissist to admit when he is beaten. That said, support for trump is waning. According to polls, the number of folks that support trump over the republican party has declined fairly significantly over that last months. Also, the number of folks that would like to see him leading the republican party has also declined. Folks like his agenda, but, they don't like him. (america first) I doubt that any of this has a significant impact on his designs to regain the presidency though..... He is likely still 'convinced' that the public wants HIM back in charge....... What I find amusing is, his blog lasted about a month, and was then taken down, as not many folks were reading it. :D There's a dose of reality for him. But, he won't see it that way. He will likely spin some conspiracy theory as to why folks are essentially ignoring his 'wisdom'. :D
