Humans are by nature a social animal. For the most part, we LIKE being around others of our own kind. Sure, there are exceptions, some are loners by choice, preference, or simply being due to being socially inept. :D

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's quite subjective, and can change for any of a number of reasons, including culture, and the viewers own bias.

But, most of the crap they do, The People DON'T get a voice...... Our government/media keeps telling us that polls show an overwhelming majority of americans support amnesty for illegal aliens.... Yet, when I read articles on ANY news site, the comments are universally against it. Not ONE pro- voice to be heard. The mere fact that EVERYONE commenting on it disagrees with what the media is trying to convince me of stinks to high heaven of someone telling a lie, and hoping they can tell it often enough, that people will start to believe it.... and then be a good little sheep, and go along with it. Our government tells us that H1B visas won't cost american jobs either. But, I read just recently where Disney laid off HUNDREDS of workers, and refilled them with lower-paid, foreign workers...... Our government doesn't run the country, the corporations that own the politicians run the country.

THIS^^ I can't even articulate the stupidity. Nothing less than what I have come to expect from our government. They are a bowl full of stupid, covered in ignorance.

Allowing corporations to sue the government for policies that reduce/compromise their profits is just flat out stupid. And that is putting it VERY politiely. ANY regulation is going to affect profits. Shall we repeal all regulation, and just let corporations do what they want? Anyone else remember Bohpal?

You are not alone. I am seeing the same behavior. Started yesterday for me as well.

Problem is, if humans are involved, communism simply doesn't work. Those at the top want to stay at the top, as they have all the priveledges and perks they could ever want. And all they have to do to keep them, is give the appearance of being concerned about the 'working class'. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. I don't see that ever changing. I don't see continents being united either..... too many different cultures, with different views, for everyone to agree (or even a majority of them...) on a single form of government. It really isn't in human nature to cooperate with those you disagree with, even if it is for the common good.

The problem with killable children is, the politically correct police would have kttens, and the hew and cry would be heard 'round the world.....

It is difficult to talk about politics/politicians, WITHOUT implying some of their members may be somewhat less than what most would consider "Intelligent"..... Consider some of the things government has done...... only to discover later, that maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all..... and then, they DON'T fix it........ US government seems to be really good at it, after all, they keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again, regardless of which party is in power.... From that, I have concluded that politicians, as a rule, are VERY charismatic morons. :)

1.7.3 is out, and *should* fix this. Also, SKSE is now integrated with steam. You have to have the steam overlay enabled (which is on by default anyway) and just start skyrim thru steam.

Where did you install steam/skyrim? What operating system are you using?

We would rather give away money that we borrow from other folks, to countries that hate us, and will never in a billion years pay us back, than take care of business right here at home. It seems that infrastructure in Iraq, and Afghanistan, takes priority over our own...... but then, in those countries, we build it, and someone else comes along and blows it up, or strips it for scrap, or something equally as stupid. Seldom is whatever we built put to the use it was intended...... It's just a nice scheme for some no-bid contractors to make billions. Not to mention giving money to countries that DON'T NEED IT, so they can buy weapons from us with it..... I am sure the defense industry just loves that....... And lets not forget tax breaks for 'creating jobs in developing nations'........ I.E. MOVING jobs to developing nations...... The level of stupidity demonstrated by the US government is beyond appalling..... Sometimes, I think they have a contest to see who can come up with an even worse way to waste taxpayer money....... Seems that is what they are best at. Don't expect any of that to change either.

We have found that no, they do NOT 'adapt' to their host countries ways. You end up with a micro-community within the community, where the rules can be dramatically different....... And then they want to expand their ruleset outside their own little closed community, so everything is 'fair'..... and their children aren't subject to 'decadent western mores'..... and other such shlock. As their population expands, their influence does indeed spread.... and you end up with government officials taking notice, and catering to them, so in fact, their culture takes over the once-dominant culture of the area. I think immigration is WAY to permissive at this point...... and the powers-that-be only want to make it MORE so......

I suppose we could just wall off those areas, and let the residents therein take care of themselves. Eventually, one of two things would happen, they would figure it out, and get a handle on themselves, or, they would all be dead. Either way, problem solved.

Civll war ended 150 years ago..... is this going to continue to be an excuse for poor behavior? Racism works both ways. The incidents of perceived 'police injustice' get lots of press. The incidents of black on black crime get glossed over. No one talks about that. What we end up with is a legacy of 'we hate everyone that isn't like us.' Not to mention that Mike Brown was a thug in general....... and probably still suffered from the delusion of the young, that he was 'immortal'..... (the "it'll never happen to me" syndrome.) Now, I will grant that racism has been around for quite some time, and really not a lot has changed, attitude-wise, since the civil war. But, it is NOT just the 'white slave masters' perpetuating it. Takes two to tango.

But bringing people out of poverty is un-american. We can't do that, the democrats would lose votes...... If we wanted to bring people out of poverty, we wouldn't be exporting all of our middle class jobs overseas, nor would we be allowing 11 million plus illegals to stay. At this point in time, we are actually putting more people INTO poverty. Exactly the opposite of what the government tells us it wants to do. Too bad actions don't match words.... but then, it's about what I expect from politicians.

Or, a flamethrower, an atom bomb, and a broom and dustpan to clean up the mess afterwards.... then there would be any politics. :D

And for todays "WTF" moment..... we now have Ferguson protesters complaining that they aren't getting PAID! Isn't that novel. :)

Hhhmmm.... I don't speak Russian.... so, didn't get as much out of the trailers as I probably should have. Looks like some good action though..

The very term "dehumanizing" is a construct, meant to describe a behavior that folks would like to discourage. Of course, that assumes that folks take pride in actually being human..... which isn't always the case. Some folks actually ENJOY the pain of others, whether they inflict it themselves, or not. Does this make them any less human? Or, is it simply a human trait coming to the fore, that others suppress? After all, power over another living things does have a certain amount of appeal to some folks.

Probably came from folks not liking having it happen the them..... so, they figgered that nothing else liked it either, so, don't do it. This could go WAY back into history.......

I think the biggest thing about 'being human' would be not to inflict indiscriminate pain on any living being. Also depends on your definition of 'beating'....... Some folks think it's necessary for training....... "Do this, else you will feel my wrath!"...... I personally do not subscribe to that theory, and it works fairly well. My dogs HATE getting baths..... but, once in there, they will sit/stand there, and behave. If I want them to move, all I have to do is tell 'em which way to go, and touch them in the right direction, and they move. Now, they give me looks like I just killed their best friend..... but, do what they are told. (and still love me when I let them out. :) ) Sometimes, I think they are a LOT smarter than they let on...... other times, I am quite sure they are MUCH smarter than me. :D
