  1. Yeah, yeah i know these pictures where the area around the Hwang Ho river look like Mordor and right and left people have more cancer tumors than fingers. What caused that? Government. Government dumps the toxic waste in the river that comes out of government factories like Foxconn where Government forces people to work as slaves. Government, Government, Government. Have you seen these footages where Government officials go around in the factory with a clipboard to notice which female worker had there period on which day so that they can enforce their one-child policy? Its GOVERNMENT who does that. Compare East and West Germany to each other. In the west there was untill 1970 a small government and in the east everything was government. The West hand't even a sales tax before 1968. The East was a toxic wasted dump. Is this so hard to get? How many times do i have to wrote this just to get the next "Yeah but..." answer? They dont need to justify. Why should they need to justify? Its not your company, its theirs. Its their business and if they just get restricted on one place, they move to another. I can't blame them. And what you spend your time for at a university i can get for 5 bucks at the liberary. Antony Sutton wrote many books on western technology transfers to the Red Chinese made by Bechtel. Here we go again.... the public good... So you think we should de-regulate business? Do away with the EPA? OSHA? NHTSA? Etc?? Because business, given their altruistic nature..... would NEVER do anything to harm the people they are trying to sell too? That's farking laughable. Why don't you take a walk around in the real world? Have a look at labor/environmental practices of AMERICAN companies in China. They are just as bad, if not worse, than the Chinese government owned factories. (Yes Apple, I am looking at you.)
  2. Many factors contributed to the offshoring of american jobs. The government giving tax breaks for doing so being right up there on the list. What was intended to help developing nations, hurt the USA. Big time. That most certainly was NOT in the "best interests of the people", it was in the best interests of corporate america. Business won't regulate itself for the public good. They will do what makes them the most money. If lead-based paint is cheaper, that's what they will use. If dumping their waste in the back yard is cheaper than dealing with it so it doesn't poison the environment, (and thereby kill off their target consumers....) that's what they will do. They have more than adequately demonstrated that FACT time and again since the beginning of recorded history. None of this has anything at all to do with 'people demanding free stuff'. That is just a red herring to push the argument away from the real point, which is: Government is controlled by big business, via the lobbyists.
  3. Some folks have no trouble with it. (me, for instance....) Others, well.. aren't so lucky. There IS a process for reverting back, and saving your saves..... it's around here somewhere, should you require it.
  4. Dems controlled the house from 2006-08. Before that, it was republican dominated. BOTH parties are at fault. Neither party has the best interests of the COUNTRY in mind, they only have THEIR OWN best interests in mind. (of which, getting re-elected is right at the top of the list) Nothing is going to change either. Both parties are controlled by their campaign contributors, and the big-money lobbies. That isn't going to change either, mainly because the ONLY folks that have the power to change it, are the very same people that benefit most from NOT changing it. What to see some REAL change? Ban paid lobbyists. Require bills working their way thru congress to deal with ONE issue specifically, and do not permit 'add-ons' (pork) that have nothing to do with the original bill. Or, give the president the line-item veto power that was put into place when republicans controlled the whitehouse, and congress, but, as soon as a dem was elected president, it was suddenly unconstitutional. Only allow a maximum of 5000 dollars from any individual in campaign contributions. Corporations are NOT people, and should not have a voice, nor should they be able to spend unlimited amounts of money on political advertising. In all reality, they shouldn't be able to spend ANY. THEN we might see congress start working for americans.
  5. Reguardless if the original story has stated the AR-15 was left in the car it was still at the scene of the crime. Since there is huge public pressure for gun reform even before the Sandy Hook shooting, advocating banning of such weapons has been put on the table and has given more of a reputable excuse for making more restrictions on existing gun laws. There was a CAR at the scene of the crime as well. Perhaps we should ban cars, so the shooters wouldn't have as easy transportation? Sorry Colour, that's a REAL stretch. I most certainly do NOT agree with your rationalization here. You seriously want to ban a device simply because it was in the vicinity of a crime? And so far as I can discover, wasn't even USED in the crime???? My Rational? I was just simply explaining why these weapons are probably going to be banned. I personally do not have the power to pass legislation of banning anything. For one thing there is no reason why an AR-15 should be even near a public elementary school. Since the weapon was at the scene of the crime there has been huge public pressure to ban such weapons as the AR-15 as well as other assault weapons, reguardless if you just think this is an excuse or not for banning them it has been put on the table. If you have a problem with this you really should be going after your congressman not me. Looking how dysfunctional congress has been recently goodluck. My congressman still has not even replied to any of my emails the last few weeks which is why I may not vote for him next cycle. Unfortunately, both my reps here are dems.... so, writing them in opposition to gun-control, of any sort, would be pretty much useless. I have done some coorespondence with them in the past, and the best I get back is some boiler plate response about how they know so much better than I do what is good for me/the nation...... Bull Ticky. I didn't vote for them this time, I won't vote for them next time. Problem is, there isn't anyone that runs that I AM willing to vote for.....
  6. I can agree the NASCAR and film industry part is kinda messed up yet Wind energy is something I could get behind. Wind won't damage the environment and I see this technology as an investment that will eventually be exported to other countries creating a vast amount of jobs for the future of America. Most of the wind turbines (even the 'american' ones....) are made in the netherlands, or china. At one time, there was a company that was going to start producing them here in Michigan, but, they changed their minds, and put up a factory in China instead. If we want jobs here at home, we need to alter our stance on Free Trade agreements.... but, that's a topic for another thread. :) They aren't exactly 'environmentally friendly" either.... Infrastructure takes a beating (roads, etc.) there are some unresolved issues about health concerns as well. Noise levels, shadow flicker, etc. Not to mention the dangers of throw ice off the blades.... (and in Michigan, that WILL be an issue....) And of course, there is always the esthetic arguments.... the 'not in my back yard' folks. (of which, I am one....) There was a proposed wind farm project here where I live, and the citizens got rather up in arms about it...... (both sides) one of the primary contributors to that fight was the fact that having the project here would INCREASE our energy costs....... How does that make any sense? Most certainly does NOT make folks actually want them..... I am not really a fan of wind power.... it is unreliable, so, wherever they are located, some variety of backup system needs to be in place for when they are NOT generating power. Unfortunately, that is usually diesel powered...... rather have another natural gas generation plant, or even coal..... both would be cleaner.
  7. Check out this article. Seems corporate welfare is alive and well in the US. The republicans may or may not benefit from some of those. This is why we need some serious reform in Washington......

  9. I will a agree a lot of people who have been in political office sometimes will eventually become lobbyists but a huge majority who have were actually representing the Republican party before. Also not every congressmen has left office a millionaire either. The 2012 presidential election has proved this wrong. If this was the truth, then Mitt Romney would be President right now. have a look here. The difference in spending is a measely 7 million dollars. A drop in the bucket consider almost two billion was spent...... Mitt also had a bad case of foot-in-mouth disease on several occasions. That sure didn't do him any favors at the polls...... In any case, I am not really talking (typing?) about getting elected, I am more concerned with folks spending money to get their favorite legislation passed......
  10. I still have yet to see some clarification on IF an assault weapon was even USED in the Sandy Hook incident. The original story I read flatly stated the AR was left in the truck of moms car. It seems to have morphed since then.
  11. Start disabling mods..... see if you can figger out which one is killing your game.
  12. Not to mention hardware......
  13. Does the screen go white, and stay that way? Or, if you look in another direction, does it 'fix' itself? What about switching from first to third person?
  14. Walk up to one of the trees, open the console, click on the tree.... the first two characters of the ID (that will show up) will indicate which mod the trees are from......
  15. HeyYou

    hey

Download paint, or gimp, they are both free, you can re-save the image as just about anything you want, then post it. (may have to set up a photobucket account to host your pics...) Almost sounds like artifacting.... (failing vid card.)
  16. Edit: Nevermind. Don't wanna start a curfuffle that might piss off the powers that be here. :)
  17. Much as I dislike the republican party..... (I am not real thrilled with the dems either.....) There NEEDS to be some competition for seats in Washington. If one party or the other is fully in control, there will be no checks and balances to speak of. Said party will be able to pass whatever legislation it cares to..... and that is NOT a good scene.
  18. I don't like anyone in congress. House, or Senate. They are overpaid, egotistical, selfish, dishonest, money grubbing Rats. All they care about is getting re-elected, and getting more money in their pocket. They "work" in politics for a few years, and then 'retire' and become PAID lobbyists..... They don't care one whit about their constituents, all they care about is what will put the most money in their (and their campaign donors) pockets, RIGHT NOW. Don't you find it kinda strange that EVERY congressperson has left there a millionaire, whether they were that way when they showed up, or not? But, nothing is going to change. So long as we continue to elect the same people, to the same offices, we are going to get..... more of the same. Gee, that isn't too much of a stretch is it? Individually, there are some fairly smart americans out there. Collectively though... we got nothin' on a box of rocks. America has the best government that money can buy..... and if you have the money, you can get what you want.
  19. That's just bizarre..... Try starting a new game, and see if the problem persists. (I know, major pain....) Don't use the quickstart save though.... might be a problem with that.
  20. are you pulling the bow all the way back? (holding the attack key for a couple seconds?)

  22. I don't see anything in there that should effect enchanting at all..... (not familiar with all of them though....) If you try and enchant an item, do you have ANY enchantments learned?
