I am downloading patch 7 out of hopes it will fix the bug of the options not showing up in the race menu.

This is the format you need to use:
- MP3
- Frequency: 44100 Hz
- Bit Rate: 64 kbps cbr (constant bit rate)
- Channels: monoThe Bit Rate HAS to be correct, or it won't work.

Please do not discuss cracked versions here.
We will gladly help with the official copy of the .exe, and I would recommend you using that instead of using a crack (which is known to cause trouble with mods).
First off, try following luthien's advice. But before re-installing, run the registry cleaner in CCleaner (if you don't have CCleaner, just download it) to clean out any potential remaining keys from New Vegas in your Registry - just to be certain.

And with that, this thread has run its course.
Some healthy discussions were had, some not-so healthy 'discussions' took place. Everyone who wanted to chime in has had their chance, and both points of views have brought their arguments forth. But at this point, this thread serves no other purpose than to toss a flaming ball back and forth between the OP and the disagreeing party. And flying, flaming balls tend to hurt, and we'd like to avoid that.
Thanks to everyone participating in the discussion for keeping things civil for so long. ;)

There is no mention of piracy in this thread.
If a user do not want to go online on Steam because they have a bad internet, it is pretty obvious they would not download a torrent; something that requires even better internet than simply downloading from Steam. Please leave the moderation to the staff. We know what we are doing.

With the new system coming in place in the future, STALKER mods can be added without a site being set up specifically for it. And if enough mods are added, a customized site will be created for it.
This is some time into the future, so you will have to wait some time for that. At this time, resources are being put into optimizing the sites and making them perform better, so do not expect a STALKER site in the near future.

Fantasy games are not a reflection of real life, and as such, any gender bias, homophobia, sexism, racism, etc that goes on in these games are not there because of the views of the developers, but because it strengthens the story in some way. Racism, sexism or any other kind of real life bad thing is not a bad thing to have in such games. They are there for a reason. Starting a campaign to get rid of such "issues" in such games is pointless and bad for the medium as a whole.
Those issues are not raised in those games to make people think that they are okay in real life, they are there to strengthen a story that may revolve around such issues in that fantasy world. That is a very important word in this matter: fantasy - it is not real, and nothing in it is supposed to be construed as such.
Now, if you want to complain about sexism, racism or anything like that in the media, you should be focusing on "music" where they sing about such matters in a way that makes it seem legit behaviour, and in a real world setting. This is what causes kids to think it is okay. Not games. And not on these forums. Games are almost exclusively fiction, and if you can't handle sexism or racism in fiction, then you really need to re-think things and chill out. It is not there to offend the player - it is there to, again, push the story forward, or raise an issue in the world/alternative universe that the medium takes place in.
Stop trying to analyze and complain about such things in games, and rather spend your energy on real issues, like racism or sexism in real life. Things that actually matter.

Considering it was a user vote, Elder Scrolls definitely deserved to win. Why? Because, apparently, most people enjoy TES more than GTA.
You can complain about bugs and shoddy code all you want. It still won't change the fact that TES is more appreciated than GTA is. Besides, GTA has had its fair share of bugs as well... -

Don't you have any friends that have better internet? Or an internet cafè with solid internet? Getting the Steam copy if the only way to fix your issues.
