    For a first playthrough think I should use Better Cities?

    I would say yes, definitely use Better Cities on your first playthrough. It adds so much more atmosphere to the cities, and makes them much less bland.

    Not what you are asking for entirely, but I would also recommend using the Unique Landscape mods, as they make the landscape a lot more interesting (you'll also need a patch for compatibility with Better Cities).

     

    Better cities adds no unbalanced things, and I know it adds at least one quest-line (plus generic quests), which is the Gold Horse Courier.

    Greatest game series of the decade?

    The GameSpot "Greatest Game Series of the Decade" poll is nearing its end now, and the finalists are The Elder Scrolls versus Grand Theft Auto.

     

    So, if you want to take part in deciding which game series is the greatest (of these two), head over to GameSpot to vote.

     

    Both of these series have been moddable for quite some time, and have both seen some great mods being produced. Whether or not that is an important factor as to why they appear at the top of the bracket is unproven, but personally, I think it has been a key factor for the success of both series, and will continue to be so.

     

    Now, those two series are the finalists, but they have been competing with series like Fallout, Mass Effect, Total War, Assassin's Creed, Battlefield, etc. Do you agree with the outcome so far, or is another series your favorite?

    Well, linking to a review of the Star Wars movies by Mr Plinkett is a bad way of telling people why the prequels were bad...

     

    Those reviews are so... to use Plinkett's lack of vocabulary... stupid.

    Plinkett is rose painting the first three films, and the entire review of the Phantom Menace is about how the longevity of the film is a waste of time. He spends 28 minutes explaining that. Now, THAT is a waste of time. The other 1 minute is explaining that none of the characters have any character, which is fine, as it is partially true. But how much character does really Darth Vader have? Until the final moments he have none, and even then, he'll have very little character unless you have seen the prequels... A protagonist without any character is not a good protagonist. Also, throughout the review, he makes it very obvious that he just wants a run-of-the-mill movie, without any real depth, and he just wants everything shown to him as easily as possible. He don't want to have to think about what is happening to know what is happening.

     

    Now, I think the originals are better in most ways, and that the prequels beats the originals in some other ways. Six great movies in my book.

     

    EDIT: Oh, and the Belated Media "review" is a good one. Lots of good points, and changes that would make the films very good. :smile:

    Real life took its toll on this update. Between my day job, Game Development, Nexus Moderation and living my life while I am still young, there is little time for modding. I do some modding every day, but most of it is for the Beyond Skyrim collaboration.

     

    I currently have two more characters who needs voice acting (one actor needed only, though), and I am currently working on the Ayleid Companion (who, when finished, will also need voice acting...).

    If my final voice actor comes through before the companion is finished, I will most likely scrap the companion, and release the update as soon as I can.

     

     

    ... I'm only 8 months behind schedule, aren't I? :blush:

     

     

    EDIT: As for why the mod is hidden:

    It is riddled with bugs in its current state, and I do not have the time to release a Hot-fix if I am to release 3.0 in a decent time. So, to avoid people downloading the unfinished, somewhat buggy version, I hid it.

    You should now be able to access the chat again.

     

    Please refrain from asking about Skyrim support in the chat until you have bought the game - it may be mistaken as piracy, which we do not support.

    I hope you do buy Skyrim once your financial situation allows it, as it is a mighty good game, and the modding capabilities makes it one of the currently most re-playable games there is.

    You should buy it from Steam.
    Steam is the only legal way to update the game.

    It currently costs 39.99€ for the Ultimate Edition, which includes all three DLCs (Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn).
