  1. Northern Bathhouses is nice, especially if you actually use an immersion mod that required bathing. you might also look at expanded towns and cities as they add a lot of new content to each town.
  2. There are several actually, I have been trying out and trying to determine what works best for me. I used Realistic needs for a long time, but it just has too much conflict for me. Eat and Sleep http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13246/? ZF Primary Needs: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36898/? which is the one I am about to try out now. I was not fond of Imps, just becuase it required calorie counting and things like that, it was too complex for me to have to worry about when my main goal was too kill stuff. ZF also adds in the need to take a bath, so people don't get offended by your stank. I know I have tried out others, one I think was called eat, sleep, bathe. check out the immersion category in the mods list. or google.
  3. Thanks, I do appreciate the feedback. I have already added an in home bath/shower with dwemer piping to Lakeview Manor, now I think I will make a tunnel in the basement leading an some kind of underground cavern for everyone else who lives with my dragonborn. Of course, I like the idea of the Northern Bathhouses mod, but they seem somewhat lacking in actual facilities. Thanks again for all the input.
  4. Having recently started modding, I am curious, do you prefer home remodels and new home mods with bathrooms/showers/etc? I would think that killing so many things would make you have a stank, but I know it is not exactly immerisve. I would appreciate some other opinions.
  5. Oh, I should also mention, I am trying to keep this mostly lore friendly. I did put a big dwemer tub in the master bedroom. But really, if my dragonborn is designing her own house, she would rather have an indoor tub than swimming in the lake. Yuck, fishpoop.
  6. OK, so i have been doing a complete remodel of all the houses. And now i am working on the Hearthfire ones. The bedroom is now a Master bedroom, storage is now a Children's room. Alchemy and Enchanting and 6 noble bookcases for a library are all upstairs, as are some manniquins and weapon racks. I removed a lot of the cluttered things that were useless, and I want to put a kitchen in behind the main hall where the small table is now. So...what, if anything, should I do with the last wing? I mean, if I had half a brain I might have made the kitchen wing into a main bedroom that way you could keep the greenhouse. but I put some planters up in the alchemy area. I already have a place for my housecarl and everyone to sleep where I added an extra room in the basement. Now I just have no idea what to put there. I want to do something.   7. Ok, nevermind. I think I figured it out. For anyone else who has this problem, it looks like the newest version of SKSE is not really compatable with the current build of SkyUi. I uninstalled and reinstalled the next older version and so far everything works fine.
  8. Ok, so I recently updated several mods, there were out of date. I just kind of went on a general updating spree. I downloaded the new (not the alpha) SKSE, and SkyUi among others. Now several of the mods I have used for a very long time are having problems. I also use FNIS, and I install everything that is possible with NMM. If I use certain mods, at the start of the game, my character will not move. She just stands there in the first person view bobbing up and down. I uninstalled everything and made it into Helgen keep, but then I get CTDs when I install these. These are things I have used almost since I started playing Skyrim. Mods like Frostfall, Wearable Lanterns, Conveneint Horses, and some Racemenu Overlays of tattoos. I also use the XP32 skeleton, but I started having these problems even without that installed. So I really have no idea. I have been going through my list order and testing every one for this problem and it is heinous. I cannot figure out what the common denominator is other than possibly SKSE and SkyIU. I have uninstalled and reinstalled skyrim 3 times now just to clean out the system and make sure I have nothing left over and I am about at my wits end. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
  9. Ok, so thanks to jet4571, I realaized that my main problem in my house remodel mod is the navmesh for Hearthfires. I navmeshed the original file, but I cannot see the navmesh from hearthfires. Can anyone tell me how I can get a visual on this namvesh so i can make changes to make this thing work, before I scream and go insane? http://www.nexusmods...im/mods/44410/? My brain wants to implode. Thank you!
  10. I tried your suggestions, but now the kids refuse to move. They come into the house and just will not go anywhere. I am trying to figure out how to see the Hearthfires Navmesh to make changes, but I cannot seem to see just it. I think my problem is that I adjusted the skyrim Navmesh, but I cannot find the hearthfires one to make the changes, and now my kids will not move once they enter the house.
  11. how do you get the second navmesh to show up? I have only been able to modify the 1. I know that somehow 2 of them showed up while I was doing Honeyside, but maybe tht is my problem.
  12. So, I have a mod, I am trying to start the next stage and work out bugs. There is a problem with Breezehome. No matter what I do, the navmesh does not seem to work. NPC characters still try to run around the nonexistent firepit in the living room, and then try to run over the bench and things by the new fireplace. I have re-ravmeshed this thing, and I don't know why it is causing them so many problems. I also started a new game with this mod, so the cell should not have loaded with any of the old information.   13. OK, so I am working on a mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/44410/? I renavmeshed everything, I moved around all of the activators, and I can get it to work fine as long as there are only a few people in the house. But once I adopt 6 kids they all just stand in the kitchen.No one will go downstairs or use the bedroom there, everyone just kind of clogs into the living room/kitchen and stands around. I would appreciate any input on this, as I don't know what is causing the problem or what I can do to fix it. Unless it is just becuase breezehome is not programed to handle that many people so they all go haywire.
  14. So, I recently released a mod on the nexus, it remodels all vanilla homes. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/44410/? I am trying to take it the next step and add kids rooms. Breezehome is a b&@*$ becuase I do not want to mess up the original dimensions, so I decided to build a bsement, which is kind of the suck in and of itself. I got it mostly finished except for the decorations and required random stuff for the kids rooms...and I cannot go upstairs. I get halfway up the stairs to the master bedroom and I get stuck on the stairs. I just started a new game. I have removed colission markers, updated navmesh, everything I can think of other than moving the stairway back to the alchemy room. This might just be something simple I missed, but I would appreciate any help you can give me on it. I will be glad to send up upload my WIP file if someone want to look at it and give me opinions. I would realy hate to have to scrap the last 5 hours of work and start over again.
  15. I had to wipe out my computer and reinstall everything. But now NMM (yes, the newest version) keeps downloading files in the unassigned area. Everything is unassigned. I am not even sure if things are being downloaded correctly, and their names are going all wonky. I do not think I messed this up, and with my hard drive problems I was not able to make a backup of my data folder to check.
  16. Um, no. Odin, the all-father of Norse mythology. He had 1 eye. Odin, my fuzzy little boy was going to have to have his eye removed due to the infection that blinded him. However once the swelling went down the doctor figured it would be less traumatic to leave it, so it just looked strange. Both his eyes had a very strange almost spiderweb pattern from the scarring. But thank you, yes, he was beautiful, and I miss him.
  17. Hello. I was just wondering if I could get a little help...or even suggestions on how to do this myself. My 2 and a half year old cat, Odin, died last weekend. Although he was blind, and had seizures, he was a fighter. I would like immortalize him as a follower. The only problem is, he has a rather distinct fur pattern. He had pretty distinct markings on his face that I have never seen on another cat. I would like to see if I can get his forehead stripes at least done as a khajit paint. Even if someone cannot do this, if someone could maybe tell me how to, I would give it a shot myself. Odin was very special to me, and he deserved more than the 2 years he got. So yeah, I would appreciate any help I could get on this one. Thanks.
  18. Ashenfire. I got the masks set up. Sjogga had a really good tutorial on here for that. Like I said before my brain was just fried after 4 days. I am not sure how speciality items work in here or what they need to be coded as. I believe that it would be different for the weapons, armor, book, and Azura's Star...but i want to at least get one right before I concentrate on the others. Thanks though.
  19. So, I have been building a house, and thank you again for the awesome thready goodness, it is awesome. I am trying to figure out how to script special displays for the deadric artifacts. Like with the claw display and the Dragon Priest masks. I tried to modify Sjogga's tutorial for the claws, but honestly after 4 days I think i am not thinking straight and my brain refuses to wrap around it. I know has something to do with the line of MiscObject, but for the life of me I cannot figure out what Deadric Artifacts are. My brain...it BURNS!! Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Otherwise I will work on this next weekend and hope that maybe by ignoring it all week a solution will work itself out.

  21. Ok, so I am working on a house, big house, the walls are kind of bare brick. There are mods of paintings, but nothing with tapestries. To be honest, I only found one tapestry resource mod, and that was for Oblivion. I think it has alot of potential to be both lore friendly and fun. And, if I can ever finish my first house mod, I may try to figure out how to do this. But If anyone knows of one already, or if anyone feels like giving it a shot, I would really appreciate it.   22. That is great. Thank you! Do you think that will fix the talk option, or just the north facing problem? They are both annoying as hell, and I will be glad to get rid of either one of them. My other thought was to make a duplicate of the original game manniquin and edit it to replace the ones I put in...in retrospect I should have done that in the first place, but hindsite is 20/20 and all that. Thanks again. I will try once I get home from work tonight.
  23. Hello. I am very new to Modding, only been doing it for a couple of week. I never found a house that had exactly what I wanted, so I decided to make my own. I am almost done, I made custom male and female mannequins, and put them in an armory, one for each vanilla piece of armor in the game, along with weapon raks behind them, and then I ran into the dreaded "Mannequins facing north don't work right" problem, so I turned everyone towards the door...which looks creepy as hell walking in and being stared at with those dead eyes. Anyway, before I turned them I was getting the option to talk to all the mannequins. I went in and copied the scripts from the normal vanialla wooden guys and I believe all of the settings are the same (except for race). Can anyone give me an idea of how to fix this, or am I just going to have to delete them all and start from scratch? It was several hours doing them all since I did not use copy paste, but if I screwed up I will have to. I was just wondering what ideas anyone else might have, or if anyone else had run into this kind of problem. Since I turned them, some of them have lost the activate ability completely, which is really annoying. Thanks!
