  1. Sure, why not. there are robots that balance on a single rocket-jet engine surely a robot teddy bear (like in the movie A.I.) would be possible. I do wonder if it would be possible to put in the inventory when you don't need it
  2. darkwolf176, by any chance are you using >Breezes FO3 Males< because it is incompatible with standard armor & clothes
  3. Um, Cakester is working on a multi-player mod again Please check post #67 of this thread
  4. Have you noticed the >RoadWarrior<? Hope this helps
  5. Ah, that Bethesda magic. It might be getting back at you for calling it "easy". Have your brother buy you the GOTY version as punishment or a gift
  6. Just incase you didn't know there are mods that make it easier to "roll your own" companions like... >Sharing and Caring Companions<, >Groovy Followers< or >RR Companions Vault< are some I know of.
  7. [ My deepest apologies for resurrecting this thread, but I found it via google. ] I don't think this information is entirely correct. First, we know that non-base IDs can take the form of "FF", so the limit would be at least 254 - Fallout3.esm. However, I think the limit is much lower. I have a TON of mods, that I'm installing on a new install of Fallout 3. (High-end box, 1900x1200 rez, all options on max except blur, HDR on) I'm installing them in small groups, testing, and then removing the conflicting ones. I'm experienced in installing mods, I have NEVER gotten the missing mesh/textures issues [ with one caveat, see below: ] However, I stumbled upon an issue where when I enabled over "8F" ( 143 ) mods, I was mysteriously unable to rest ( T ) or even hit Escape. I could activate things. Also, I noticed a graphical glitch when the issue first occurs ( meshes/textures disappear in the landscape ). Also, some meshes either go invisible or become exclaimation marks ( first time I saw that. ) I spent literally hours trying to "find that one mod" (or few, etc ) eventually I discovered that ANY of my disabled mods, if I enabled ONE, the issue would return if that enabled mod caused the last one in the FOMM load order to roll to "90" I have not tried combining mods, I'm guessing this will fix this particular issue ( though I'm wary to do this, incase some other "must-have" mod in the future ends up conflicting with one mod in a merged .esp ) Yes, yes, I know that I have a plethora of mods. It's an addiction, I promise I'll stop downloading and installing mods. I can stop anytime, ... really.... :whistling: I think what you're hitting is a "memory limit" either your system is choking on on all the mods or the game engine can't access enough RAM even if it's available. this would be separate from the "mod limit" that Cipscis mentioned & that it could be as unique as each modlist
  8. Uncle Leo is cool, & he makes a nifty companion with SCC
  9. You guys may want to check out this thread I found on the official forums... http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.ph...owtopic=1052444
  10. Personally, I haven't run across that error. & I wonder if this is a clue c:\_Fallout3\.... is fallout 3 installed to that location?
  11. Answer 1: I think the best way to do it if you don't use the goty is to install, patch then mod & dlc, The goty comes with a second disc which contains the five DLC in one installer & it does not allow for someone to choose which DLC they want It installs the whole set. a plus is that the DLC is installed to the fallout 3 installation folder & not hidden away on the C: drive to me the big thing about the goty is that it is an option for someone to get the whole DLC set without dealing with G4WL, as the addon 2 packs only cover the first four DLC. it shouldn't make any appreciable difference if you have Fallout 3, the 1.7 & the the DLC or the GOTY And sorry I don't know about the Steam version.
  12. The Enhanced Children Yoshi Hair Pack. I have Fo3edit, but it doesn't seem to work well for me. I didn't have the instruction link ,however, so I am most interested in going through it. Thank you for passing that along to me. If push comes to shove I just may have to uninstall Fallout and rebuild everything. Rabbit that hairpack has been modified so it will work, just not for the children, because it's hairs are adult scale only & caused other issues for EC.
  13. What is the error message? that can give an idea what's wrong
  14. No. I probably would if I knew about them, but right now I'm just using Enhanced Children, CUTE and some additional hair mods that said that they work with children. The hair that I ended up using for her was from the CoC Project anyway. She looks like she works alright without the CUTE mod, but I just can't abide that filthy underwear that comes with Enhanced Children. I would somehow rather live with the dirty skin. Rabbit What hair mods are those? they could be forcing a different (incompatible) skin texture on your little Rebecca. I'd compare the child races with Fo3edit & make sure that EC is the winner
  15. Are you using other child mods, like from the Japanese community?
  16. I'm attempting to help Rabbit 51 troubleshoot the mods >Enhanced Children< & >CUTE<
  17. another thing that potentially could cause trouble is a hair mod. Some modders set their hair mods to include the child races (apparently not realizing that the hairs would need to be re-sized to look right) & that can cause conflict with EC-CUTE so it couldn't hurt to use >FO3Edit< to check to see if another mod is altering the default child races. Just incase you might need it, a good manual for FO3Edit >Web-enized by csb<
  18. Sure they are, he doing his bit to stop overpopulation.
  19. the order in which you install might make a difference what works for me is to install EC & patches in order 1.1, 1.2 & 1.5 then the CUTE bodybase, cuteshop &the patch. Hope that helps
  20. Maybe, you could check out one of the MS mods, some of them change the appearance of that character. just search "stranger" at fo3nexus
  21. I couldn't find one in FALLOUT.ini but I did find one in FalloutPrefs.ini (in user documents like FALLOUT.ini) fMouseSensitivity though I think it may be tied to the in-game setting if that fails, couldn't you try adjusting the mouse in Windows "control panel"?
  22. I hope you won't mind if I use a quote from another thread about this... Btw: welcome to the nexus.
  23. this happens to me as well. what I do when that happens is use Groovatron's mp3 player & that fixes it for me. I don't know if other mp3 player/radio mods would work though
  24. IMO I would say 1.0.0.15 is the most stable but the 1.7 is the most compatible offering support for all the DLC & mods made to use the later iterations of the game (there are some that do) though is can be a bit crashy & beth never did fix the targeting issues. I guess you could backup your game (if you have the room) & try out 1.7 to see if you can handle it.
  25. Sadly... No, that isn't the case. They decided to release a 32 bit version anyway. It was probably done because Dell or other large quantity suppliers don't all use 64 bit processors in their systems and to appeal to people with older computers who bought vista and want to upgrade. I have heard that Win 7 32bit doesn't have the large ram issue (like the 4th gb is used for video on my laptop)
