  1. I also use it Concord...only to kill the death claw, once I arrive at Sanctuary, i actually leave the fusion core in so I can order Jun Long into it. Feel sorry for that mug. He gets the mini-gun too. lol. That way I don't have to look at his eyes anymore...
  2. I cant stand it! It's not only ugly, it is loud and the "clomp, clomp" walking sound is annoying to me. Then again, I love stealth and creeping. I understand that it is a Fallout sort of tradition? I've only played Three, New Vegas and Four, but, never really used power armor to any extent in any one of those scenarios. Your thoughts? love it or hate it?
  3. I know nothing about console gaming, but, if possible, I would check for AWKCR patches relating to mods in your load.
  4. Which to you prefer? Personally, I use MO2, have been using it for years and love it. Also, I have no experience whatsoever with Vortex. I guess what I am asking is for an unbiased plus and minus comparative (opinion welcome) between the two. OMT, are there any "collection" type mod-list based on MO2? Don't know if it is possible, but, I figured I'd ask.
  5. There are cheesy/glitchy methods to raise settlement happiness, but, I am not on that train. Personally, I've given up on any rating over 85%. I've tried shops, plants. dogs and cats, just about everything I've read about. Throw a robot in and you get an automatic penalty, why? I usually use jacked-up bots as provisioners, so, no chance for me, lol. Too me, it's more of a headache than it is worth. Be great if such a mod exist, or, could be created. OMT, I remember reading about a "clean up" robot mod that ad's something like 15 to settlement happiness, but, I think robot happiness is capped at 50?
  6. Vaultboyfan: Being a dog lover myself, and having owned 6 dogs in my life so far, I can feel your pain. The worst part about owning a dog is when they pass. I have sworn, utterly, that I would never get another dog because of the pain of their passing, but, I simply cannot hold to that. The wagging tail, the lolling tongue, the sheer and utter glee they express when you come home. The unconditional love. Times passing will garner you a new tail-wagging friend!
  7. This would be cool! Having a family member following you around? Gotta include some treats for a job well done. :)
  8. The reason I'm asking is that I like to use beefed-up robots as provisioners. Also, it's comical too me to see a jacked -up bot leading a Brahmin along trail, willing and able to take on all comers. Is this duplication process even viable? I was thinking along the lines of a category in the robot workbench entitled "Duplicate Provisioner Bot" or something similar. Dunno if it's even a possibility, but, I would come in handy if it was. This could also prove useful if you like to create robot settlements with let's say....Defensive bots? Or, you want to duplicate any sort of robot build without having to drill through the bot build menu? Just Curious, thanks.
  9. Suppose there are other alien life forms out there. What if they are not biological life forms? What if they consist of something we simply cannot even perceive in our minds? What would happen if we came in contact with something that is so utterly foreign to our understanding that it would literally blow our minds?
  10. Dang, this discussion is still going! Love the comments. I must reference the "pole shifting" reference posted by MrJoseCuervo. This is a possible reality. Some believe that the magnetic poles have shifted before, explaining the disappearance of Atlantis, the shifting of the continents...Alaska separating from Siberia for example. Some believe that at one time in the history of our planet, the north and south poles were located about 3,000 miles away from where they are now. Hard to be utterly educated on a planet that is almost 5 billion years old. A lesson we should all heed before we run away with hypothesis and theory.
  11. I use MO2 and switch saves from different characters in and out of the same profile load order. Some of my exit saves are as much a 4 mb larger than the hard save I make before exiting. Strange, eh? I label my back-up saves by profile and character name so as not to confuse load profiles. No issues and, exit saves self-delete. Fose actually makes a save on exit also. ReSaver doesn't show anything. No issues, everything loads fine ..... just seems odd too me.
  12. I actually prefer the "dilapidated" look for world textures, I hate the clean and shiny in FO4. Personally, I use Luxors and Vivid all in one, with a couple of other minor retextures. Funny thing is, I despise the "lore friendly" weapon textures, bulky and fukugly.
  13. Just out of curiosity, is there a threshold that should raise a red flag on the size (megabytes) of your saved games? I understand that there are many factors that contribute to saved game size, but, I run AWKCR, VIS-G, and AE....And, I have characters that have leveled into the 90's and have never passed the 18mb mark? That does not seem excessive too me. Considering the fact that I have seen post on various forums where characters are well above that size. Also, I have disabled all save options in the menu except "exit saves", funny thing is, these exit saves are often a couple MB's lager that the the FOS saves? I run a moderate load, about 115 ESP's, plus about 10 FOSE mods.
  14. Funny, I have read a lot of post stating that AWKCR and AE are dated and not longer worth installing. They may very well be, but, they work fine for me. I'm too lazy and worried about needing another break from FO4 to totally re-do my load order and start from scratch. Anyway, If you feel the same way you can follow the instructions on this mod-page: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/40666 They are very simple and concise, plus, the mod contain a FOMOD installer that automatically detects which mods in your current load need patching. Good luck! Oh, AE needs to be at or near the bottom of your load order.
  15. SKK50: Thanks. Just downloaded, will install on my test character shortly. BTW, you create some interesting mods, I have a few in all of my profiles/characters. Love the originality! Keep thinking outside of the proverbial "box", and creating mods that add so much to this game, especially for those of us that have been playing it for years. Keep keepin' it fresh! UPDATE: Working like a charm so far. Man, you have saved me hours of TEDIOUS and ANNOYING bullsh*t! Appreciated and endorsed.
  16. StormWolf: "Are you using Cheat Terminal AND Easy Hacking and Lockpicking? If so, you can free up one slot in your load order. As Cheat Terminal has those options, as well." Yeah, but I prefer the aforementioned mods because they require the skill level to unlock...what can I say makes me feel less a cheater. Thanks for the recommendations . I'll definitely give ESP Explorer a shot.
  17. Dreadshow: Interesting. I run Better Settlers and, while I love that mod, been a staple in my LO since forever, you still must upgrade settlers with better weapons/armor eventually. You're right, even thought the process of equipping settlers is a simple as trading with them and pressing the "T" key to force them to use the weapon you gave them, and giving them one according ammo type, I does become a PITA after a while. Especially when you have 20 (my limit) of them to equip. Thanks. Always wondered it it was possible to create a mod that would force settlers to go the workbench and grab a better weapon than the one they are currently toting. I always create a separate safe to store weapons I want to keep for myself, so this sort of mod would be a godsent. Settlers, after all, do take weapons randomly from the workbench.
  18. Not sure about Vortex as I don't use it, but, with Mod Organizer 2, you can create totally different profiles with different modding scenarios while keeping a virgin data folder in your FO4 game directory. Along with separate, dedicated ini files and saved games. Experiment ' till you find that certain something you seek. Personally, I've tried survival mode, mods like Frost, etc.....they eventually wore thin and became more chore that fun.
  19. I don't think we do that sort of marking here. Actually, none of our mountains rise to extreme heights compared to the Himalia's and such....Mostly, they just climb up them and ski down them. :) Oh, and as showler posted......mountain climbers are a strange bunch, some of them are obsessed and care about nothing other than climbing. They live day by day and don't worry about the effect they have on the surrounding communities and such. Not all, but enough to mark them as undesirables in general.
  20. I understand that the term "cheating" is a matter of personal perspective. Personally, I use the following so-called "cheat" mods that I consider QOL mods... Cheat Terminal: Strictly for settlement supplies and changing weather.....Oh, also adding a suppressor to my 10 mil pistol early on. :) Easy Hacking And Lockpicking: How many times is enough? Enemies Don't Shoot So Good: A head-shot dealt by a .38 pipe pistol from THAT far away, Really? (set to 75%) I also use mods to toughen enemies and scale them to you current level, and one that makes head-shots extremely important. Balance. Anyway, do you use mods that would fit into this category? If so, which ones?
  21. Not only do they suck (most of them) they are ugly and bulky looking. It's like they are waaay to damn big for the damage they do. Obviously, I've grown tired of the "lore" thing. Loved it for a while, but, the sheer horridness has grown on me over the years... I like this mod for variety.... https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16387
  22. " constant auto exit in workshop mode ". Perhaps you could look at any mods that alter workshops in xedit? I know from experience that those sort of mods can cause issues if you are not super careful and knowledgeable about what they are altering. Do you have a saved game that was saved before this issue flared-up? If you do, It could be a huge help in narrowing things down.
  23. Just do the basic crap, make sure you place some turrets, some food, water, beds ect, then pull the wire from the recruitment beacon. If you aren't aligning with the minute men don't worry about it.
  24. "Used to play on a console"? I assume you are running on a PC now? If so, I have a couple of off the wall suggestions that might help if you are running windows 10. They may shuk and jive on windows 11, but, I don't run that OS....yet. I'll wait 'till 2025. First off, try downloading and installing a program called "Empty Standby List". You have to create a task in windows task manager to install, but, there are a multitude of tutorials out there to aid you. Window is notoriously horrid at releasing RAM from it's cache, this little gem alleviates that issue. I actually seen my cached memory go from 7 gigs, down to half a gig.....Perhaps the game can't access cached RAM? Also, for some strange reason, I capped my 144hz monitor to 120 hz in windows, Also capped my fps to 60. this seemed to help with in-game ctd's. Perhaps because 120hz is a multiple of 60? There are programs out there that will let you run the game at over 60fps, but, wait 'till you have more experience in modding before you delve into that. Here is a logical and concise video to get you started with MO2 and the Fallout script extender..... Also, Better settlers need to be at, or near the bottom of your load order.
  25. HeyYou....I thought the very same thing. After further investigation in xedit, the Bashed Patch seems to be doing it's thing, but, on some records it is reverting changes back into the original FO4 esm? Funny thing is that all of the mods that add to the LL in my load seem to be showing up in game? The few script injected mods I am running seem to be ok, perhaps they are separate from the bashed patch and are injected at load? obviously, I have some research to do. :)
