  1. I'm not understanding why this thread from 2016 is being answered now.
  2. @ADragonWhelp You may find this program a lot easier to setup and use. ControllerToKeys.
  3. @buffmaloney You could ask a moderator but usually someone on staff will do it if they see that it doesn't belong eventually.
  4. Hardware and Software discussion would likely be more appropriate for this question. It is generally a good idea to have a GPU sync well with the CPU to minimize bottlenecks. You may want to let people know what CPU you are pairing this new GPU you want to use for freesync.
  5. @PeacemakerLofely If you enjoyed Thief 2, you need to know about Dark Mod. Enjoy.
  6. Unfortunately, the GPU/CPU dependence is highly variable and ultimately rests on what the game engine the game is using. A CPU with two cores/4 threads might be perfectly fine for a lot of games but if the game is heavily reliant on CPU, the experience would be poor. Most modern engines like Unreal 4.0 lean heavier on GPUs though as APIs like Vulcan become the norm. Skyrim and other Bethesda titles for the most part benefit from the CPU more because the Creation engine depends/likes raw CPU speeds. So, CPU should be your first priority if your game focus is Bethesda games.
  7. You can gift people premium memberships. Goto his profile and the option should be there.
  8. @gamefurious I still have the original cds tucked away in one of my Fallout 3 lunchboxes. I do doubt I'll play it again though. The game was basically a technical demo for the game engine. There wasn't anything that stood out to me with that game. It just wasn't that fun.
  9. I imagine SSE is beneficial to those who use a lot of mods since it is no longer limited by memory and it being 64-bit. I use 25 mods now and only used 100 or so mods in oldrim so it made zero difference to me. I guess the added godrays make SSE look better visually but oldrim wasn't exactly ugly with mods and ENB.
  10. I really miss Troika games. They made Arcanum , Temple of Elemental Evil, and Vampire: Bloodlines which are great games for their time. Although, they haven't aged so well. It really is too bad they don't get remastered by the IP owners.
  11. The GOG versions tend to work better in most instances due to them being DRM free and also because they take the time to make it compatible with Windows 10. However, steam versions are usually just fine as well long as you are following proper procedures when modding. Disc versions would be last resort since none of the patches or workarounds are present on the physical media.
  12. NMC You really should be opted in. Even if it is to donate the points to charity.
  13. Give yourself a budget. The parts you are mentioning can be good for mods. Linux is going to be a no-go for modded Fallout or Bethesda games that use the Creation engine so you'll have to stick with windows.
  14. What mod manager are you using? You could always take some screenshots of it and post it that way.
  15. It is difficult to help find the issues you are having when you don't actually list your mod order.
  16. I think he is talking about your load order.
  17. Sorry for the extremely slow progress on the modding front. I'm trying to scrounge enough for a new/refurb PC that can run CK and blender. You can send donations by going to https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/17NBFO0IJV5DJ?ref_=wl_share if you would like to help. I appreciate your help in this regard. Thank you.
  18. I can recommend Pillars of Eternity, Banner Saga, Kingdoms of Amalur, the Reckoning, Grim Dawn, and Fell Seal Arbiter's Mark. This should give a nice variety to play through.
  19. Legendary Crafting Framework, Sim Settlements 3 in one, and possibly some or all of my Improved ecosystems mods depending on how you like your difficulty. Also, Fallout unofficial patch, and Vanilla fixes, improvements and QOL. Lore friendly expansions: Outcasts and remnants, and Project Valkyrie.
  20. I had one in the works but due to software/hardware issues with my PC, it is on hold. If I manage to get my issues resolved, I'll work on it again. I'll give you a heads up either way. Is that fair?
  21. Have you looked at your Nvidia driver settings? That's the only other thing I can think of that may cause this.
  22. Are you using the 4k high resolution texture pack from Bethesda? I didn't see it in your load order but I'm pretty sure in certain instances, that pack can cause a myriad of problems. Maybe, you can try some texture mods like Luxor's? Set it to high instead of ultra, use Luxor's or something like the Vivid series. Are your .ini files in my documents default?
