^ Can't we all just admit that this is a situation where both sides are morally grey?

Yep. Although my brother was doing the main quest on the island itself and found that Skom wouldn't read the black book.

Is it safe to say Dragonborn is the end of Skyrim DLC?
huntsman2310 replied to jazzak25's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
They've actually stated that they're working on a new piece of DLC. Plus they've trademarked the name Redguard. So either they're making a DLC set somewhere on the border of Hammerfell and Skyrim or they're just getting ready for the next game in the series. -
Only bug I found is when absorbing the first Dragon Soul. Mirmulnir doesn't disintegrate and allow you to show your status as Dragonborn. That's about it really. All I did to get past that was switch off the Dragonborn ESM then turn it back on after that part.

Star Wars the Old Republic nailed what the OP wants in my opinion. In that, no matter what class you are, plots from the other classes are there in the background and characters cross over at a few points. I agree, it would have been nice to see interaction between the Companions and the College of Winterhold. Like say, for Mage characters who skip along straight to Winterhold, during the Saarthal dig they bump into Farkas and Valgas (That's his name, right?), who were hired as extra muscle by Tolfdir. And maybe one of the quests after this could be Archmage Aren sending you off after a thief who stole a crucial element of that big magic ball thingy. And when you track them down, who is it? Karliah. I. Would. Kill. For this level of interaction. What they have already is good enough for me, but it can definitely improve.

What's the deal with Talos and the Thalmor?
huntsman2310 replied to ShadCroly's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I'm guessing Hermaeus Mora would probably know, but then again he is constantly on the hunt for secrets which he gets from the mortal world by manipulating events in his favour. I guess this secret has still eluded him. Didn't the Thalmor want to stop Talos worship because his power is what holds the physical realm together and by unmaking it they'll return to being ageless beings again? Its a pretty stupid plan, I reckon only the leaders of the Thalmor would truly believe in that nonsense. -
Silly question, Khaajit always in flux. Okay, here's one: What exactly was the Numidium, and what was its intended purpose for the Dwemer people?

Wow, all you need to do is merge the center vertices together, fix up any errors on the UV map, and you should be golden! -
Yeah, the quest giver is the dead hunter's partner, she needs to bring in more deer and wolf meat for Riverwood and she can't do it on her own. Essentially the quest chain is like this 1. Player finds questgiver's location (hunting tent just across the river from the town) 2. She gives out a quest asking for five deer pelts, five wolf pelts and their meat 3. The player goes out and does this, and comes back to the hunter, who asks he enter into the lair of a man killing wolf and kill it. 4. While in the lair he discovers the hunter's dead partner, he brings the note found on his body back to her and the quest ends, opening up to the second quest of the chain.

Order and reason to play DLCs in character

I don't know, I find that the DLCs make more sense to be played before the endgame of the main quests. -
Order and reason to play DLCs in character
huntsman2310 replied to charwo's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Spoilers
So, in any case, you basically treat HH like a sort of prequel to the other three DLCs. 1. Courier wakes up from bullet wound. 2. Saves Goodsprings (or destroys it). 3. Memory relapses point her or him to the Northern Passage. 4. Events of Honest Hearts. 5. After doing Veronica's quests, she starts to monitor frequencies to find traces of Father Elijah, instead finds Sierra Madre signal. Courier investigates. 6. Events of Dead Money. 7. Midway through any of the Main questlines, Courier investigates disturbance at the Mohave Drive-In, gets teleported to Big Mountain. 8. Events of Old World Blues. 9. On the eve of the second battle of Hoover Dam, the Courier goes to the Divide, alone, to settle his or her business with Ulysses. 10. Events of Lonesome Road. 11. Endgame begins. -
You've gotten farther then I have, mate. I've been working on a few Riverwood quests on and off for the last few months and I have no clue how to get the player to kill some deer and discover a dead body nearby.

That's pretty hilarious. Although I think the game's future is still pretty bright, after all as soon as they've released Dragonborn on PC they're still going to put out more content.

LE JL Kosuke's (Me) Game Immersion Ideas
huntsman2310 replied to jlouise141's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
About the counter attack idea, why not tie the killmove to a successful block rather than just when the enemy's health is low as well? I'm sure all you would need to do is find the script for killmoves and attach it to a successful block attempt. -
In a lot of games countering is pretty much a staple. Now dishonored has some of the best counter moves i've ever seen in a game. So why not apply that by linking skyrim's killmoves to a succesful block? How i think this could be done is by using a script to tie the execution of a killmove based on both the timing of the block and the player's skill level. As a example. You have equipped a 1-handed sword or axe with no shield in your other hand, and when you parry with it (basically blocking with the weapon), you then have a chance to execute a killmove based on the enemy's health at the time, your fatigue and your blocking level. Unless sonething like this has been done?

Change a snowdrift into a sandstorm
huntsman2310 replied to antstubell's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Usually I'd say just find the texture the effect uses and do a recolor using GIMP or Photoshop, but I'm afraid I'm not well versed in Nifskope. I think if you just make copy of the NIF you can change the texture path to the recolored texture. So basically. 1. Go into GIMP and recolor DDS file 2. Make copy of the NIF for your new effect, once done change the texture path to point to the recolored texture. 3. Go into Creation Set and make up a new texture set for sandstorms or blightstorms. I hope someone more experienced can help you as I've only got rough ideas, I'm afraid. -
This would be fantastically realistic. But that's kind of the problem I think. Since Dragons are so common in Skyrim, particularly as you level up to a higher level, that means you can get wiped out just walking down the road in Falkreath forest.

Order and reason to play DLCs in character
huntsman2310 replied to charwo's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Spoilers
Really I think that they should be played in order, since a lot of the things you face or use in Dead Money and Honest Hearts were actually created where Old World Blues takes place. Essentially I always play through them in order - usually spacing them out after the completion of a main quest. I think your character could rationalize her reasons for going to these places like this: Dead Money- While travelling the I-66 leaving Novac, she picked up a distress signal coming from a location near the BOS bunker. She arrived to find a blood trail going into the nearby entrance to a bunker, and followed it in. Honest Hearts- Visiting the Mormon Fort in Freeside gave her a desire to head to Utah, possibly if she could find aid from them and advice about dealing with the gathering storm of the Mohave. Old World Blues- Doctor Henry was unable to find a cure for Rex's dying brain, leading her on a desperate gamble concerning a crashed satellite at the Nipton Drive-In. Lonesome Road- To atone for her past mistakes, she faces the Divide, in hopes of confronting the man who put her on this road in the first place. -
...Do you realize how utterly massive doing this would be?
